SavaTheAggie Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) This past weekend I was able to attend Brick Fiesta 2013 in Dallas, TX. Here are some of the train-related highlights of the show: Scott Sanburn's gargantuan layout: A history of LEGO trains: Kurt Baty's excellent steamers: The Midnight Express: The Ninjago Train: Metroliner Monorail by Pat Hough: Steamwood Falls by David Hawkins: My Palestine, TX, layout: More photos here: And a bonus video of my Allegheny trying out her new o-rings: Edited July 12, 2013 by SavaTheAggie Quote
Hey Joe Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Hey! Thanks for the photos, such beautiful layouts. That Ninjago train is pretty cool. I'm not into Ninjago, but it gives me some ideas; like maybe an underwater Atlantis train or an Alien Conquest one. Joe Quote
Pierre_Cochereau Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Those are some nice layouts, especially the Metroliner monorail. That Ninjago train is pretty cool. I'm not into Ninjago, but it gives me some ideas ... I was thinking the same thing. Maybe I should buy one (or wait until they go on sale and then get two) ... the parts would certainly make for a nice MOC, maybe a suburban train or a tram-like design. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 It's amazing found an almost complete collection of 12volts train in the USA! Quote
fred67 Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 (edited) Fantastic train video - it pains me to watch it going around curves, though; can't wait for BB or ME to get some wide radius tracks out there. What really caught my eye, though? Your trees. Edited July 10, 2013 by fred67 Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Thanks for sharing they look great! I only wish there were such events near to me. Quote
SavaTheAggie Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 Those are some nice layouts, especially the Metroliner monorail. That's funny. I would have included a photo of that in my original post had I known I had gotten a photo of it (I was a bit focused on just getting things photographed I'm afraid). Pat had showed the Metroliner Monorail the previous day, but said he wasn't going to run it because it was at the edge of the table, and part of the baseplate wasn't sitting on anything. I figured he had put it away. So to correct my error, here is: Metroliner Monorail by Pat Hough BrickFiesta-2013_032 by SavaTheAggie, on Flickr --Tony Quote
