I definitely look forward to this! I just hope it's not a corner building.

Less empty space on the 32x32 grid :classic:

Since the last release (Palace Cinema) was a corner , I have good hopes.

I got really excited about the set even from its name and I think it might be something similar, familiar with the design of the GG.

It will be at the top of my list for sure...love Parisien architecture...so many fine details and NO UGLY STRIP MALLS. which are becoming the national symbol of US architecture.

It'll be interesting what see what they come up with. I am hoping for a rare colour!

I primarily buy the modular buildings as parts packs* so I agree with this sentiment to some extent, but in this case I'm not sure what rare colour would be appropriate. We've recently had sets with dark orange (TH), sand blue and brown(PS), sand green (haunted house) so those don't really need a re-run yet. Sand red seems to be out of consideration. In my mind, from the set name a tan, or white or light grey could be possible, but they're not exactly rare (though grey can be hard to amass a lot of brick in and would be popular with castle folk I guess). Perhaps the bright yellow from Friends might fit for the upper stories. Dark tan would also be a good option on reflection.

* not to suggest these are bad sets or designs, it's just that every train club uses them because they are such nice buildings, that they end up being overused, and in some ways the default option. I like to own them too, but they're really more useful as low price per part sources of very nice colours in large amounts suitable for buildings. It's a win-win all round for me.

I wouldn't mind seeing a modular with a base color of Dark Blue, Dark Green or Dark Red (all colors that aren't easy to amass in quantity for building structures out of)

Dark red is pretty dominant in the Fire Brigade, and the other two are not obvious choices for a building, but I'd be happy with any of these too.

It's very interesting to look back at the modulars since they started appearing, the fire brigade does lean to the USA, town hall I feel it's more European, Pet Shop....a little bit English/USA again.....perhaps it's time for some French inspiration to give the theme a more global feel.

The question begs might be what next, but that we will have to wait 12 months to find that out ? :classic:

I love more historic architecture, so as long as this fits into that category (much like many other modulars), then we'll be fine. I would also like a rarer color, but in reality as long as it looks good, it doesn't matter what color it is. The Palace Cinema had good use of color I thought, but wasn't anything particularly rare about it. But they did include some old pieces in new colors, so that helps too.

The sand colors look great since they are subdued hues of darker colors. Dark green would be amazing. I keep hoping a winter village set will have dark green, but hasn't happened yet.

No matter what, these will be a pick up for sure. Make a modular or winter village set and I will buy them sight unseen.

LegoDr,

The sand colors are some of my favorites, too! They are very easy on the eyes and look great with darker color trim.

The dark green/red/blue colors also are a good choice with lighter trim. All of these colors have PERSONALITY!!!

But please don't let them do another primary color building in red, green, yellow, or blue. Enough is enough. Same for white.

And please, Lord, do not give us another red roof. Those caused me to go into 15 years of Dark Ages after creating one large building for my 3 year old son.

And while You are listening from wherever, Ditto for Duplo colors! The playhouses in dark pink and medium blue are outstanding!!!

Now that that they have included exclusive printing to the Modular Line, the printed clock disk for TH and the printed sidewalk star tiles for PC, I am hoping that the set comes with printed (not stickers) round tiles that represent two or more food dishes for the Parisian Restaurant. I know that they made two printed food dishes for the Paradisa Dolphin Point Set in 1995, so there is a precendent. It will be too soon if I see another genetically altered large apple or a carb coma sized loaf of bread!

Nono! The Restaurant needs brick built Cheeseburgers!

Wouldn't a goodly amount of olive green look great on a building? A nice subdued color that would mix well with some grey or tan?
