sam89 Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Mr X says he can't tell whether it's Jack Stone or Duplo, but it looks like figs to him. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Sounds as bad as alpha team is.Unless there are some good city parts in these sets. Not all kids want to blow up destroy and have giant monsters. ohwell what can we do but wait and see Most kids do! And I like Alpha Team, its like have Nick Fury Agent of S.H.E.I.L.D lego. If these are Minifigs, I hope they look kick megablocks!!! Quote
David85 Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 I think he's joking ;) Mister X says the set list is: 7474 - buggy 7475 - hummer 7476 - tank 7477 - helicopter He also says they're very Megablok-ish, and not very good. Let's hope we disagree ;) Mister X also said the line was canceled so yeah I really trust him. :-P But what is with this only 4 set thing? Why not five? And wheres the plane? Quote
sam89 Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Apparently it was the Adventurers line that was cancelled, and have been replaced with the D.I.N.O Attack line. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Apparently it was the Adventurers line that was cancelled, and have been replaced with the D.I.N.O Attack line. So we won't see that plane then? I hate living in the UK sometimes. DAMN US Toy fair pics. I've been up ages, and I want pics!!!!!!! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Based on this verbage, I'm thinking that the sets will be more detailed than Jack Stone or Duplo. "Exciting theme features awesome models with incredible function and detail". - But then again, I could be wrong. It's fun to speculate though. Quote
sam89 Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Apparently it was the Adventurers line that was cancelled, and have been replaced with the D.I.N.O Attack line. So we won't see that plane then? No, we won't get the plane. I hate living in the UK sometimes.DAMN US Toy fair pics. I've been up ages, and I want pics!!!!!!! It's annoying. FBTB is supposed to be putting pics up by this evening, so that means we might not get them until tomorrow over here :'( Quote
Sting Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 I think these sets are a cool idea... unfortunately if they are <insert that tiresome argument> 4+, jack stone, bionacle, than it will suck. Alot. I really wanted to see that plane. Looked really cool and unique. But obviously Lego has to make stuff appeal to the VideoGame Generation. Lets hope these sets "accidently" have lots of good pieces, good designs, and no-juniorization. Is the US Toy Fair tommorow? Quote
sam89 Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Well apparently FBTB will have pics up by tonight. Quote
Sting Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Well apparently FBTB will have pics up by tonight. I love the internet :-D Quote
Cutty Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 admit it! you would love it even MORE if those pics were to be first shown here on EUROBRICKS... Quote
Sting Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 admit it! you would love it even MORE if those pics were to be first shown here on EUROBRICKS... Ay. I would. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Argh, I can't wait until tonight! :D Quote
sam89 Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Or most likely tomorrow morning for us Europeans :'( Quote
The Middleman Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Or most likely tomorrow morning for us Europeans :'( MWAHAHAHA! :-D That's what you GET for getting the construction sets before the US! :P I just hope 'DINO' isn't Jack Stone-ish. Quote
Cutty Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Hey great! Sunday morning's gonna be good tomorrow! First watching an old episode of "wickie und die starken m Quote
David85 Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 I thought the Toy Fair started tomorrow? Whatever... Want pictures through to see how bad they are. If they suck it's not like I have nothing else to buy. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 From... Endigo Vandane.... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=117988 I figured I'll put them in the right place. Quote
Wolf04 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 What the.......is that some kind of joke? Not only do they look like Megablock but they look like pieces were thrown in a couple of minutes by a 1-year old. That is truly disgusting. The dinos are made all of one piece. This theme makes the Adventurers Dino theme like a classic. The *hummer* is over-sized, the tank doesn't even look like a tank, dinos are all pre-made. The helicopter is the only set thats remotely close to a D- while the rest are all F. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 The buggy is ok, the hummer is nice but huge, but they are huge in real life too. The "tank" is terrible, and the helicopter is no better. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 The whole line is megablocks. I can see why there was talk of cancellation. Quote
spotfrog Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 I hope the dinosaurs aren't as horrendously <insert that tiresome argument> in the final versions. The vehicles look pretty neat, though, like the helicopter. But I feel the extreme amount of cannons are a step in the wrong direction. Quote
David85 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 The whole line is megablocks. I can see why there was talk of cancellation. That was a different line. The second wave of Adventure theme dino sets were canceled, this is some bastardized version of Alpha Team. Quote
Wolf04 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 It should have been cancelled. The sneak peek plane or whatever from before looked promosing but apparently not. So, now that we've seen 90% of the 2005 sets, how about 2006, eh? I heard some train sets will be released, plus some new town houses to expand the City line. I also heard that some new SW sets will just blow people away. Lastly, since Lego had an idea DINO Attack won't be doing too well, they'll revamp the line with more AFOL tastes. Keep dreaming.... Also, LEGO has broken their no-arm rule. I see some big guns in this line and lots of violence. I guarantee you, there will be some breaking news in the LEGO world concerning the weapons in DINO Attack theme. EDIT: spotfrog, the whole damn theme is in the wrong direction!! Quote
Athos Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 From... Endigo Vandane....http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=117988 I figured I'll put them in the right place. What in the name of all that is holy? Steve Quote
