Governor Mister Phes Posted March 5, 2007 Governor Posted March 5, 2007 HMMMM... The hull more reminds me of a modern or WWII Battle ship to be honest... Have you been on the rum again Mr Norrington? Quote
exo attack Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Okay. Here is the progress so far. I have made the cabin at the end, and the front sail. From here you can see the white cabin windows and the front sail. A picture of the sail And a pic of the captains cabin. The captain is in a bed, as you can probably see. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 5, 2007 Governor Posted March 5, 2007 Your first ship MOC is proving to be quite popular Mr Attack. I was wondering if you've seen the Making Sails Tutorial? There's some good sail making tips which you might find useful if you intend to make more sails. Quote
exo attack Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 I was going to use that, although I have hardly any decent colth which I can use without getting in trouble X-D . I just stick two parts of paper together, paint them, and when they are dry they come out a pretty nice effect. BTW I am starting to like the name Mr attack... Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted March 5, 2007 Governor Posted March 5, 2007 Yes, "Mr Attack" is a very threatening Pirate name indeed! Although, since you've got a ship by the name of The Crimson tyrant perhaps it should be "Captain Attack". Captain Attack by name, and captain attack by nature! Quote
exo attack Posted March 5, 2007 Author Posted March 5, 2007 Yes, I like captain attack...It has a "ring" X-D to it... I am just going to paint some more sails, so look for an update soon! Quote
Dukesc Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Captain Attack Nice ship so far! *y* Like others said, you seem to be a quick learner and are very resourceful. You are doing an excellent job building a pirate ship with the resources available. Keep up the good work and welcome aboard the Pirate Forums. *sweet* Duke Quote
ZCerberus Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 The pics are a little grainy, but you sure seem to have a knack for shaping hulls! I love the color scheme (as you may have guessed) and the way you are managing with so few Pirate pieces! I actually like the idea of striped sails, even if not historically accurate. I think we get bogged down a little too much by that sometime here! Well keep posting! Quote
Norrington Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Have you been on the rum again Mr Norrington? No... Maybe not WWII but modern anyways, and I mean the pic of the hull below, because the ships were gray above the waterline, and red under the water line... And when did I last get into the Rum? We have Rum here? Quote
Scouty Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Actually, it's a red color, a black line or gold or some color, and a grayish color or camo. In World War II, some ships had pain in whit to lightish bluish colors, this reason is for camoflage from aireal attacks from planes. I have a German WWII model ship, in camo design, and I'd say it has a possbility to be hard to pick up. Many ships, luxiorious ships and such, all have waterlines, and most with a red bottom and a colored top. Actually the pic that MisterPhes posted looks pretty darn, if not is, the model I built. Now to your MOC. It's quite nice for a first time and the custom cannon is pretty good. Good Job! *y* . Very nice and interesting. And those cannons.... not so bad, in fact they are really innovative and original.Arrr, exo attack entered upon the Pirate Board.... satisfied.gif Cool ship name, BTW. Asuka posting without a picture? A very rare occasion! Quote
exo attack Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 I have redesigned it now, I have changed the hull and contents inside, gave it 12 cannons instead of 4, made a crows nest, and added/changed the crew. Pics may be up tonight or tommorow. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 23, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 23, 2007 I have redesigned it now, I have changed the hull and contents inside, gave it 12 cannons instead of 4, made a crows nest, and added/changed the crew. Pics may be up tonight or tommorow. That's good news! I'm looking forward to see the new pictures. Quote
exo attack Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 Okay, Sorry for the DP, but here is the redesigned version. That was a pic of the whole ship so far, you can probably already see differences. That was a pic of the deck, from a front view. And from a back view. Here is the crew so far: Name: Captain " attack" scruffbeard Age: 30 Bio: A vicious, give-them-no-mercy kind of pirate, Captain attack is one of the most feared pirates in all the 7 seas. Name: Helmsman "Eyepatch" Eric age: 24 Bio: a freind and partner of Capt'n attack, he is a very good strategist. I will add more later, when I take more pics. Quote
Dukesc Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Captain Attack, Your progress is coming along nicely and your ship is becoming even more powerful. Good work so far. *y* I have redesigned it now, I have changed the hull and contents inside, gave it 12 cannons instead of 4, made a crows nest, and added/changed the crew. Pics may be up tonight or tommorow. With the addition of 8 cannons do you have plans to increase your crew? Name: Captain " attack" scruffbeardAge: 30 Bio: A vicious, give-them-no-mercy kind of pirate, Captain attack is one of the most feared pirates in all the 7 seas. About what years does Captain Attack roam the seven seas? Duke Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 25, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 25, 2007 The changes improve your ship a lot. Do you plan to add sails? The captain looks a bit older than 30 :-D Quote
