So, I think I started collecting lego around 2003? 1st few sets were probably the Island extreme stuff (only 1 set, in pieces, remain).

(Prior to collecting Lego, I was collecting Tomy's Plarail, or better known as Trackmaster in US)

I collected mainly the City line. Was around the time where World City just ended. Missed lots of good train sets from the WC line. I own most of the City stuff up to 2007-8, where I stopped collecting, to invest more in Transformers (Attracted by the movie at that time.) Still collecting Transformers, but I've been eying sets like the Emerald Night, Maresk freight and the Winter Village sets, that I never got around to buying. Probably due to the price. Lego here cost roughly double the US price.

Saw the Lone Ranger movie a week or 2 ago, which was what convinced me to buy that Constitution Train set. Meaning to get it whenever it goes on sale here. Also have some plans to make some MOC passenger cars, to make it more screen accurate.

Joined because of the Train Tech section. Loads of inspiration and ideas from there. Hope to contribute some too, whenever I get around to getting that set.

Currently only own the RC White Passenger Train. Hoping to add more to that soon... :)

(Edit: Never knew I even had an account here... It seems like I came here last time when I meant to buy the Emerald Night.)

Welcome/happy belated to Eurobricks!

Hey! Welcome to Eurobricks.

Welcome! . . . er, welcome back! Unfortunately, LEGO prices vary greatly by country. For collecting on a budget, pick a focus (in your case, trains; in my case, LotR/Castles) so you can build up enough pieces to actually make what you want to make. (And make sure to share pics of your creations with the rest of us!)

Yep. Currently saving up for the Constitution Train. $140USD, ouch.

Will probably be getting some past train sets from now. Though I don't have space for a permanent layout.

Like I said, I own most of the "original run" city 2005 stuff. All are in tact and stored, so I might rip apart some to MOC. :classic:
