Hi rm8

can you please check both manuals or sealed bags (if you still have them, or on pictures) if the chassis on both cars is the same? I mean are the content and the building steps fot bags "1" are the same?

I would expect so although I haven't seen 41999 in the flesh.

The rules of the comp said that the chassis had to remain untouched and as it was, so just the body is different. Once you get to the stage where you start adding the hinged frame for the body panels is where it'll start to differ from the 9398 version.

A poster earlier said it performs better, how can that be if it's the same chassis with longer overhangs?

I do like the look of the new body though, lots of cool muscle car influences.

They are different. 41999 has other weight distribution.

Dino I will do that: measure weight of same packets from 9398 and 41999 and check instruction steps

RM8 got this set so early as he was the one who designed it. Next time read a bit before posting
