September 12, 201311 yr I dare LEGO to try and break my wallet with the super hero theme...double-triple-dog dare (reverse psychology...does it even work?).
September 12, 201311 yr I doubt the Marvel ones will end because that Disney and LEGO have a very close relationship with many many themes (Marvel, Star Wars, Toy Story, PotC, Cars) and that might help LEGO because maybe DC won't want to go out of the picture.
September 12, 201311 yr Again, when was the theme scheduled to end? Who cares, it will be renewed anyway. You guys are becoming as worse as the people in the Star Wars thread. "Oh, LEGO has continuos success with this line for over a decade, I should worry about them considering continuing their contracts. Please don´t take away my ability to give you money!" Superheroes is new but seriously?

"Oh, LEGO has continuos success with this line for over a decade, I should worry about them considering continuing their contracts. Please don´t take away my ability to give you money!" Superheroes is new but seriously? There is a lot to be covered in this theme and we want to see it happen, if that means renewing the contract then so what? We're not becoming "worse" or "bad" people because we want to know if we can get what is generally expected from this theme.

"Oh, LEGO has continuos success with this line for over a decade, I should worry about them considering continuing their contracts. Please don´t take away my ability to give you money!" Superheroes is new but seriously? You hit the nail on the head right there. It's just a continuing sign of the information drought kicking in. Unlike international politics or tabloids, LEGO news unfortunately is not a mile a minute, nor does it even change every day or week. Whenever pictures of the rest of the sets come out, the discussion will surely be all about the sets and not about these other (completely baseless) worries.
September 12, 201311 yr I heard rumours it was a three year license so it would 2015, but even if it ends it can always come back like it did with Batman and Harry Potter and SpongeBob. It's not liek "It's over and never coming back!", it can always continue, it's not like super heroes ever go out of date.
September 13, 201311 yr Breaking news: the Lego Superheroes license to end in 2015! In other news, the earth is flat, the Easter Bunny exists, and down is up. It's not going anywhere, people.
September 13, 201311 yr For the record, I have suffered from OCD behaviour in the past which makes me anxious about stuff. Thanks for the reassurance.
September 13, 201311 yr As long as I get Alfred,Killer Croc and Nightwing! Any others would be icing!
September 13, 201311 yr The current contract runs through 2014 I believe. More than likely they'll renew some point within the next 6 to 9 months as they have to plan the sets out far in advance. And it's unlikely Lego will end the theme. Superheroes are super profitable right now. It would be horrendously stupid to cut that cash flow off.
September 13, 201311 yr As long as I get Alfred,Killer Croc and Nightwing! Any others would be icing! I get wanting Alfred, and Nightwing, but why does everyone seem to want Killer Croc so much? Is it only to get everyone from the original line? Personally I'd rather get a Ra's Al Ghul than Killer Croc, and that's not because I already have him, I just don't really care about that villain.
September 14, 201311 yr I think they are making the Man-Bat figure to replace the Killer Croc fig. Anyone else think that?
September 14, 201311 yr I think they are making the Man-Bat figure to replace the Killer Croc fig. Anyone else think that? No not at all, maybe they like re using moulds, so the man bat would be the ideal mould from the monster fighters range/CMF S8. In the foreseeable future if there are going to be more batman sets, I reckon we will see killer croc then (perhaps with a moulded head like in the chima theme), and hopefully a few new figures we haven't seen in Lego form before will be made.
September 14, 201311 yr I think they will alter the wing and ears molds to be more angular, as the Super Heroes minifigures are now almost duplicates of the game models.
September 14, 201311 yr I think they will alter the wing and ears molds to be more angular, as the Super Heroes minifigures are now almost duplicates of the game models. Isn't that just Aquaman?
September 14, 201311 yr I think they will alter the wing and ears molds to be more angular, as the Super Heroes minifigures are now almost duplicates of the game models. If your referring to Aquaman, Shazam and Bizzaro, I think it's because the designs for those characters already existed. If its true that all the Comic Con figures were designed long ago and intended to be a CMF line, then TT games would have had access to them. Plus the Aquaman on ice came out less than a year after the game, so the designs for him must have existed over a year before the sets release. So TT games would also have had access to him. These designs are most likely adopted by TT games and then bought out at a later date. Plus I doubt Man Bat would have any new molds. A single mold costs tens of thousands of pounds, to use two on one character when similar molds already exist would be stupid. The Superheroes line has a budget allocated to it on how much LEGO is willing to spend to create new sets each year. To waste a huge amount on one set would be hard to justify, especially when New molds will be made for Flash, GOTG and what ever else is coming next year.
September 14, 201311 yr I get wanting Alfred, and Nightwing, but why does everyone seem to want Killer Croc so much? Is it only to get everyone from the original line? It may very well be that. I don't particularly care one way or another about Croc (outside his incarnation on The Batman), and yet I find the idea of getting a new Croc minifig strangely irresistible. It probably does have a lot to do with the desire to get updated figs.
September 14, 201311 yr To waste a huge amount on one set would be hard to justify, especially when New molds will be made for Flash, GOTG and what ever else is coming next year. Shame Captain America's not getting an updated helmet like the Flash. http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/lego-marvel-super-heroes-preview/
September 14, 201311 yr Shame Captain America's not getting an updated helmet like the Flash. http://www.digitaltr...heroes-preview/ Well not in the game, but that doesn't stop him getting a helmet like Flash in the summer wave. Mr.Freeze didn't have a new design in the game but he got redesigned like 6 months later for the Aquaman set.

Mr.Freeze didn't have a new design in the game but he got redesigned like 6 months later for the Aquaman set. I might be the only one but I like the head mold he got in the avengers sets. It looks more like the sort of sized helmet he wore in the films than the flash sized one would which is oversized for cap. Plus I believe for the winter soldier the wings aren't present in the design they appear to be embossed/painted into the helmet like the avengers design. So making a new helmet piece would be slightly unlikely/not really necessary as the movie the sets will be made for he doesn't have separate wings from his helmet. A reprint of the headpiece is in order however as the helmet design has changed a bit. Looks like they are bringing back the army style brown chinstrap so that will make it a nice new redesign. http://clothesonfilm.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Captain-America-The-Winter-Soldier_Chris-Evans-first-costume-crop_Image-credit-ComicBookMovie.jpg Looks like fury gets into some action in cap 2 hopefully that means a good chance of a mcu design fury: http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2013/05/new-captain-america-winter-soldier-set.html
September 14, 201311 yr Personally, I'd like them to do Cap like the latest Darth Maul's horns, a rubber cap around the top with little rubber feathers sticking out ether side. On a side note, do you think with all this speculation about a Simpsons CMF series coming out that its possible Marvel might be in the running to do a series or more? I mean, I know there is some hostility to them doing licensed ones, but imagine the array of obscure characters they could put out...

Sadly it appears mega blocks already do those but now Disney owns the franchise that contract is probably dead soon if not already. Would be cool I admit. hang on just read MB's contract with marvel was terminated in 2012 so no problems there! I say go ahead as the videogame showed so many good figures that are unlikely to all end up in sets. I want the comic style green goblin from the video game as it is likely we will get the USM on in next year's sets rather than that one. I actually really like the design of usm goblin but the other one is iconic and should be used in the next Spidey films. Edited September 14, 201311 yr by legofreak86

It came out a few weeks ago that most of the Comic Con Exculsive figures were meant to be in a Superheroes CMF wave. However LEGO decided to hold off on Licenced CMF waves for a while as the standard CMF waves were selling well. However recently CMF sales have dropped, which is why LEGO are starting to base CMF lines on products that already exist separately ( LEGO Movie and rumoured Simpsons wave).
