Kez Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Hasn't anyone noticed that the henchman pictured has Batman's head ? Ah yes I have, l'm just wondering if the henchman will have the same clown face print as the prior joker henchman or maybe it may be an entirely new print which would be a bonus:wink: Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Yeah, it's been noticed. I think the concern is whether or not Lego would reuse a head like that. I doubt they're seriously sticking us with this head, but you never know. Who ever posted the images have made the figures up out of extra parts, so some of the heads and legs won't be the same as the real complete figures when finally released. Quote

I realize that. The reason I entertained the possibility of them using that head is because the bandana sort of fits the look of the henchman (Bandana's can be a bit thug like especially when combined with that face) and Lego does reuse parts (Satipo's head for instance is used very often). Again, I don't believe they'll use that part, but I'm not going to say it's impossible (I've seen lazy reuse of parts, so I don't think Lego is above that all the time). DJ Bricks Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Unfortunately German site Werst has them listed liked this: Marvel (The Ultimate Spider-Man) Marvel Set 1 (76014) – $19.99 Marvel Set 2 (76015) – $24.99 Marvel Set 3 (76016) – $48.99 Also the descriptions are pretty definitive for the Ulitamte Goblin and Doc Ock set. The only one left is the smallest and that has a minifig that doesn't sound like anyone from ASM 2. At this point, I am hoping there is a retailer exclusive or summer set for ASM 2 but I am not very optimistic we will get one. Ock will be in his Season 2 look then. Small set. Which i think will include green and yellow Electro. Quote

just2good Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Loving the new Riddler {pic} Wow, he does look lovely. I can see the Al in him with the cheek-marks. Quote
wesker Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I wonder if Scarecrow and the Penguin will also be new variants or if Lego will just reuse the same figures from the Asylum? I think a Batman Returns inspired Penguin would be pretty cool since he's rumoured to come with his Duckmobile. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 He likes his bananas doesn't he ? The Joker actually looks really cool......I like it. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 The henchman's graffitti'd vest seems almost like something out of Arkham City. Anyone else getting that or is it just me? Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I like the new Riddler, the look on his face is perfect Quote
phanstasm Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Thanks to those that posted links to pictures and/or pictures. Seeing that we're getting a Joker henchman, even though the torso print is clever and fun, is disappointing. That's a minifigure slot that could have been used for a new fan-demanded character. Or, since Lego already had the prints made and people want them, why not save some development time and use a 2012 or 2013 SDCC exclusive character? I think a Green Arrow minifigure would have worked better as a selling point than a Joker henchman. I love henchman, but they are really easy to make. Lego can do more cross marketing by leaving the henchman out. People can buy Police sets, or mix and match other torsos, to make their own henchman. Please, Lego, don't bother with the henchman - especially when we're only getting one, like in the Batwing set (#6863). Unless we can army build (ex: Footsolider from Turtles line), use that minifigure slot for a fan-demanded, popular character that will help to sell your set(s). Quote

That's a minifigure slot that could have been used for a new fan-demanded character. Yeah, I definitely have to agree with you. Really the figure is well designed, but there's nothing that overly special about it, so it is sort of disappointing. I've said it before and I'll say it again we need more supporting characters. Vicki Vale would have been a perfect match to the steamroller set (Considering the Joker seems to be based somewhat off the 89 movie which also featured Vicki Vale). In general we rarely get any civilian characters. I mean in our line up there's few characters for the superheroes to save (Which is ironic considering that saving people is pretty much all they do). Lego really needs to branch out in their character selection, we need some civilian characters thrown in, somebody for our heroes to be saving. Heroes after all need motivation. And they're finally branching out when it comes to heroes (Batgirl, Flash, Nightwing, YAY!), but our only civilian characters end up being that same stupid guard (Who apparently can't hold down a job). Come on Lego, flesh out our cast of characters some. Quote
legofreak86 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) Yeah the head wont be the batman head, I suspect that is all the guy who stole it could grab from the production tray. Anyway this means there is only 1 character missing from the steamroller (Batman, Knightwing/Batgirl?, Joker, Henchaman and ???) Who do we want as the final character? I would like either killer croc or mad hatter. http://m.flickr.com/...15664/lightbox/ Croc would be amazing!!!! Then that'd mean we got: a new joker, new batman, new penguin?, new riddler, flash, batgirl, Nightwing ,man bat and killer croc all in one year. Plus all that in only 4 sets plus the penguin robot henchmen and the joker one. Edited October 15, 2013 by legofreak86 Quote
TenorPenny Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 The Batman sets seem to, below the real heavy hitters, have three figures. Newer Marvel/DC sets seem to go for 2 heroes and 1 villain. I think two big villains in one set, like the wishes for Joker and Croc in one set, is purely aspirational. Quote

I hope we get Croc, though and not another genchman or Harley Quote
Alywin Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) A fellow in our local forum posted this small picture, which appears to be 76010. Not sure if it is true and I have not been able to verify the source though. Mr. Elijah Timms Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 SCUBA BATMAN!!!? Sure, why not! Quote
SMC Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 ^ does look like it could be real, I was hoping for a bigger and more impressive duck, now that's something I didn't think I would ever say Quote
The Jersey Brick Guy Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 That set looks awesome! Can't wait to grab it! Quote
SMC Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I like that batman looks different, is he blue or black, an old suit with some new gear or a new suit? Quote
just2good Posted October 15, 2013 Author Posted October 15, 2013 Nice looking set. The new box art is interesting. I like this year's box art for Super Heroes the best, but 2014 better than 2012. Why is DC Comics listed everywhere now? Makes it look pretty cluttered. Quote
strangely Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) That looks pretty good. I was expecting a bigger duck, but really I shouldn't have considering the price range. For a small set this is pretty impressive though. I can't wait to get a better look. So far the only difference I see on Penguin is that the stick for the umbrella is brown instead of black. Really if they gave him another facial expression I'd be perfectly happy. Edited October 15, 2013 by strangely Quote
Pulp Detective Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 (edited) Damn for 1 sec I died even thought I'll end up not buying this set I'm pretty excited for the upcoming sets. Edited October 15, 2013 by LOTR343 Quote
Kez Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Ooh assuming that set is real, (well actually imo it looks legit), it looks rather good, especially for a £12 set, and the figures look good from what I can make out, that batman in scuba outfit is a nice variation, I just hope that the penguin is slightly different to the Arkham set, thanks for the image and link Alywin Quote
legofreak86 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Nice!!! Love that scuba batman that does as the person before said look like the best £13 set ever!!!! Wow that's two new batmen in one wave! The grey and black one and the blue scuba one. You never know they might even have another variant in this wave of batsy! Remember 2012! They had three batman variants: Black, grey and blue and Jetpack. So this year it could be something similar Grey and black, scuba and another type of suit colour/variant. Just a prediction. Quote
