Considering how often you need to remind people not to bicker about the two franchises, why don't you split the discussion for next year's sets into one for Marvel, one for DC. I for one get a bit bored having to wade through the "my franchise is better than your franchise" or "why didn't we get an exclusive minifig this year" comments.

Just my two cents, but I really like this idea of splitting the threads. Maybe there are quite a few Marvel fans who don't buy DC, and DC fans who don't buy Marvel. As it is, I skip half the content in this otherwise enjoyable thread.

I mean Harry Potter is great and all, but there hasn't been a new Harry Potter set in three years! The HP forum isn't even pinned anymore. We are way out of date! We need to update our banner with all the Superhero Simpsons and Princess TMNTs we can! And preferably let's get a sweet banner that changes images at different times of the day like the Pirate forums. But I digress.

I'm open for the return of Ameribricks! But really the banner could use an update Back on topic though, I think it is pretty sad that they didn't give Star Lord his classic helmet in the GotG movie I'm all for artistic interpretation, but not when it comes to main characters. They should put Wolverine in his real suit for DofP while their at it
February 11, 201411 yr I agree the banner could use an update. maybe they could have a photo that ties up all the current licenses in one photo. It could be like in the middle there could be batman, superman, wonder woman and the flash next to cap, thor, hulk, iron man and then on to the side on the left there could be TMNT characters and on the other The Hobbit characters.With the backgrounds sort of alternating like the hobbit DOS banners, Behind the hobbit could be the lonely mountain,behind tmnt there could be an alley-way and behind superheroes a city street which on one side has night-time for DC and daytime for marvel. And in a bold movie poster style font at the front the name of the page. Back on topic: I'm really looking forward to the March and April ranges and the xmen set. The guardians stuff sounds interesting but as I've never heard of them apart from watching the GOTG trailer I'll have to watch the movie first to understand those.

I like the idea of the Avengers alongside the JLA. Or maybe you could have them fighting because that seems accurate haha! So if we're getting Star-Lord and Gamora in the Milano ship set, looks like we'll see Drax, Groot, and Rocket in the others. Unless one of them is on the other side of the box which is very possible since the Quinjet came with three of the Avengers. I wonder if we'll get more variant Star-Lord minifigs like we got different Ironmen with the Avengers sets. I could see a possibility of a young Star-Lord when his dad crash lands onto Earth if the movie is accurate to Bendis' take on the Guardians. Gives Lego another excuse to make a spaceship.
