Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 That is on my top five wants from Lego. I would love to get a CMF line for DC. Imagine, 16 figures all with accessories. But who would your 16 be? 1.Superman 2.Batman 3.Wonder Woman 4.Flash 5.Green Lantern 6.Aquaman 7.Cyborg 8.Lex Luthor 9.Joker 10.Cheetah 11.Captain Cold 12.Sinestro 13.Black Manta 14.Black Adam 15.Hawkman 16.Bizarro I'm short on time, so I'll do Marvel later. Godtshep Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'm anticipating that this summer's X-Men set will be a breakout smash for TLG, and they may already have anticipated this and are prepping further X-men sets for rapid release in January. After all, the set was initially labelled "X-Men 1," right? With that being said, I hope TLG always treats the X sets as straight-up comic adaptations and ignores the Sony movies altogether. This will deliver better figs with better costumes, better variety and better character design overall. For example, who would rather a rogue fig of Anna Paquin in some cheesy black leather jumpsuit over the iconic comic book Rogue?? Save Miss Paquin herself, I'd imagine no one, haha. Personally, I'd be one happy Mr. Timms if we get COLOSSUS & JUGGERNAUT in the next set. You got that, Lego? -- Also, I don't need you to personally respond to my comment, 'B-Lister.' Monopolizing a thread only makes it less enjoyable for others. I agree we need Colossus and Juggernaut, but some movie versions would be good in my opinion. Quote
Suspsy Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Scroll through this thread and the one about Future Super Hero Set Ideas---there's tons of ideas about a CMF line. Including mine. :) Quote
BrickyNolan35 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 What about Abomination? And I don't mean the one in the Spider-Helicopter set Forgot him. Quote

MontyPython Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Simpsons' Collectable Minifigures are actually great opportunity to make some more series of other shows/films ... Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) Apprently the LEGO Movie won't be giving us Green Lantern, but the DVD does come with dead Vitruvius. http://www.walmart.com/ip/35715605 Correction: This is apparently Prologue Vitruvius; his appearance in the very beginning before he went blind. Still not Green Lantern, though. Edited March 27, 2014 by Numbuh1Nerd Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Green Lantern was never going to happen. He's GOING to happen, just not in the DVD. People were talking about the possibility of a Green Lantern fig showing up with the DVD earlier. Quote
iamste Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I'm not even a DC fan and and I want a damn Green Lantern. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Honestly, I'm getting the feeling that we will be getting Green Lantern next year. He was given away as a promo fig in 2011. That was basically a confirmation of what was to come. I'm sure we'll get him, probably in another Batman set, without Sinestro, and without any constructs (unless Lego makes translucent pieces just for him, unlikely since we haven't even gotten leg printing on half of thse superhero figures, let alone several molded pieces). I'm sure he'll come, this years LED light is probably the same design we'll get him in. But based on previous releases, my above description (thrown into a Batman set with only his ring, and the same design as this years LED light) is how I think we'll get him, which means he'll probably have leg printing, which is also nice. Who knows, Lego may just surprise us all with a Sinestro. Point is, all signs are pointing to us getting one. Quote

I think you're right except for one thing: Green Lantern won't have a ring but he will have a construct. LEGO will have to include that play feature, that action piece. Damian got a staff, Bats has his Batarangs, Aquaman got a trident, Wonder Woman has a lasso, etc.. We'll have to get something for him to fight with, odds are using pieces already made in trans-green. The ring on the other hand is pretty easy to lose and won't look right. The only sensible way to do the ring is to print it onto his hand and that won't happen. I can't imagine them breaking out the ring mold again for this. It'd be more accurate to just put a sticker on a flat stud. They'll probably make a green car or bubble or shield or something for him to use while Batman is in his Bat-space shuttle or something fighting Two-Face on the moon or whatever. Quote

I imagine the construct would be made mostly of normal green bricks with some translucent bright green covering the top. Mainly because of how weak transparent bricks are. Quote

Discussing the CUUSOO project AS a MOC is one thing, simply pimping your own project is another. Please be mindful of this. I am removing the link. KCMatze Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Yeah, LEGO, give us a darn Green Lantern I don't even mind if he is coming with a trans-green car or spaceship or whatever...but I want an official (and accessable / affordable) Hal Jordan! But I do think we will get one next year or 2016. Quote

BrickyNolan35 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I don't normally buy DC sets. But when we get Green Lantern ill by the set. I've said this before. We were supposedly going to get a wave of sets for the movie. They could move this wave to 2015 with some minor edits to characters and builds. Quote

Darth Punk Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) I just saw the images of the Simpson's CMF line and got so jealous, my complexion turned a sickly green hue. LEGOdisneyDCmarvel need to figure out why they want to keep missing the boat on what would easily be the greatest CMF lines of all time. Because minifigs help to sell sets. None of these companies want to flood the market with a valuable tool that can be used to make even more money. And we are highly unlikely to be getting any more Simpson sets. Sam892 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Forgive me for asking, but what exactly was the source for that supposed wave. Would be interesting to know they had such a wave planned. I don't think we were ever meant to get another wave, but it was an exculsive. It comes from several rumours pieced together, a while back ( either all about bricks or brick fanatics) said they had an inside source telling them about the superhero sets. They were all correct except they said we would be recieving a green lantern figure in some form. In Febuary at one of the toy fairs LEGO said they have had to come up with a new DC wave for next year ( since the movie was delayed) and move sets around. Then some kid 'claimed on Instagram to have seen next years green lantern', most likely fake. Then we saw the LED torch of GL. So by the looks of things GL was meant to be in an exclusive this year, got moved to next year beacuse of DC's movie problems but the torch based on the appearance of him was released this year anyway. It makes sense, why would LEGO produce designs for a mini figure solely for a torch, and from the print on the torch you can see it's a officially minifigure, and not done by TT games or another company. Dr Leg O Brick Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I've made it a point to stay away but I thought I'd add that Amazon UK has the new Marvel stuff available to buy. The Hydra tank and Bank truck arrived today so they are available and not a computer glitch ("cough Iron Patriot cough"). Somebodies most likely already posted this but still, on the off chance they haven't I thought it was worth mentioning. Quote
