Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Regarding sets based on the LEGO games, it is a shame to say it but it is unlikely that many of the models and minifigures seen in the games will ever be realised, and even those that are will probably not be exactly as they were in the game. We can tell this much from how TLG is managing this theme so far. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Maybe, Winter solider will be a Sdcc exclusive. Trust me, I would not like that, but it's a possibility. SHHHHHHHHHHH you'll give them ideas Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 ^ Based on the lack of Winter Soldier sets or minifigures, it could be said that TLG have already had that idea. I hope they haven't, but it would be entirely unsurprising if this was what TLG are planning. Quote
Master_Data Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 ^ And the other figure could be from GotG or Avengers 2. I hope not, as I have really wanted some of those figs. Quote
Captain America fan 1 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 SHHHHHHHHHHH you'll give them ideas Oops. It might be daredevil or punisher, though. Still not good, but I really want winter solider. Quote
KingPixels Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Oops. It might be daredevil THAT'S EVEN WORSE! At least a purist Winter Soldier is easy! Quote
Spider-Man Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 ^ And the other figure could be from GotG or Avengers 2. I hope not, as I have really wanted some of those figs. I could see Yondu appearing in that format seeing as he was omitted from the sets Quote
BrickyNolan35 Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I could see Yondu appearing in that format seeing as he was omitted from the sets Or the collector. It could also be the only missing member of spidey's team white tiger. I don't think daredevil or punisher will be though. They have to much potential for sets. Quote
Suspsy Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I've been wondering about White Tiger and how they would pull off her head/hair. I'd certainly welcome any new female superhero. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I've been wondering about White Tiger and how they would pull off her head/hair. I'd certainly welcome any new female superhero. Probably the same as that SW character, normal head, ponytail piece, maybe even that same piece. And yes, i think we are going to get her next year in one of the Spidey sets, hopefully with Kraven. wesker Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Aurra Sing's hairpiece in black would be perfect for White Tiger. Quote
Faefrost Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 What SW character are you referring to? I'm guessing he means AurraSing? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=sw306 Quote
Suspsy Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Ohhhhh....that is PERFECT. Do it, Lego! For goodness sake, DO IT! Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) White Tiger would have a new mold. I think that Sing's hairpiece is a good reuse for customs, but those ears she has are probably going to have to be represented on an official minifigure for it to pass Disney's expectations. The good thing about that is it means she could not be a comic-con exclusive, unless they planned to release her to the public anyway, of course. I know I'll be pretty disappointed if we do not see her next year.... Actually, if there are CC "exclusives" this year, I hope White Tiger is one, with that in mind. Kind of like Superman and Azog. I hope they have decided against actual exclusives (at least characters like Phoenix and Green Arrow) after all the controversy last year. Edited April 15, 2014 by Superficial Username Quote

Well they could make a new little crown mold with ears instead of horns (the thingy darth maul has) so she can have them. That way you can still stick the hair piece in. It might work Quote
Huntleyfx Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Given how horribly awry the Comicon exclusives went last year, I have a (bad?) feeling we might end up going without from now on. Quote
wesker Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Or they could just ignore the ears. They're so small that a new mold might not be worth it. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 If we get White Tiger I don't see why TLG would bother with the "ears", or why they would bother to make a new mould for the hairpiece when it is so similar to the Aurra Sing hairpiece. For the "ear", they're so small that no one is exactly likely to b concerned if they are ignored, and LEGO will consider it a waste of time to make a new mould for it. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Hey All, Do you think this would make a good stand-in for my Lego MOC? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hasbro-Marvel-Avengers-S-h-i-e-l-d-Helicarrier/dp/B008EHUGRI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397558681&sr=8-1&keywords=helicarrier Tom Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 True, it may be small, but what about people like Black Panther and (at a stretch) ol Hornhead Daredevil? Perhaps in the long run it would be a good idea to have that particular part, not to mention one with small wings for Cap and US(less) Agent. Quote

While Lego may let it slide, Disney would probably not. Disney ultimately sets what they want Lego to do, and in this case if it's not similar enough in their opinion than they'd ask Lego to do something about it. Edited April 15, 2014 by strangely Quote
B-Lister Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Given how horribly awry the Comicon exclusives went last year, I have a (bad?) feeling we might end up going without from now on. Nope, I think they'll try a new way of doing it. Trust me, we haven't seen the last of 'em. I wish they'd just sell them throughout the con. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 ^ I know it's a long shot to hope for LEGO to manage the SDCC exclusives in that manner, but we can always hope. Speaking of such, surely dealing with SDCC exclusives in that manner wold certainly make much more sense from a business standpoint, and would prevent the scalpers from selling the minifigures off for ridiculous sums of money. Either do that or simply use upcoming minifigures from the next wave as SDCC minifigures, similar to last year's Azog exclusive that was eventually released. Quote

No, it won't be bad. Every comic-con minifigure will never be released.Azog was the only one released so far. Hopefully that means a yes to a Green Lantern. Quote
