BlueberryWaffles Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) Everyone's hyping over a 66 Batmobile and I just want my damn Keatonmobile. Edited April 18, 2014 by Tolkien Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I'll be honest and say that I simply don't understand the hype for any more Batmobiles when we have so many already. Don't people always complain about the lack of variety in DC sets? Yet now everyone is clamouring for yet another Batmobile and hoping for yet another Batman and Robin. I honestly don't understand it. Frankly, I hope TLG doesn't produce another Batmobile for a while and actually gives us a DC set that is even slightly unique, by which I mean I want a DC set without Batman for once. Is that too much to ask for? Quote
strangely Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I think the hype is that everyone is waiting for their favorite version to be made into a set, at least that's the hype for me. Also most of the Batmobiles have been bad or so-so, so some people are just waiting for a Batmobile they like in general. Quote

Is that too much to ask for? Wait....DC has heroes other than Batman? But yeah, that's probably asking to much. At least at the current moment. DC isn't too great at advertising heroes other than batman and superman, so I don't expect lego to contain sets without them and take a gamble until DC steps up their marketing game. Quote
Cammo Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 ^I think it'll only be the 1966 batmobile since the batcave from the 1st wave was loosely based on that series. On a sidenote: Just finished the Lego Marvel Videogame and it's killing me that the new sets have Thor without the beard. Still doubting whether to get the Hulk Lab or take my chances and hope for a Hulk/Thor set next year with the new Avengers movie. Quote
strangely Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Still doubting whether to get the Hulk Lab or take my chances and hope for a Hulk/Thor set next year with the new Avengers movie. I would heavily bet on them being included next year. If they make sets for the film it would be a certainty. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I would think that sets based on Age of Ultron are a certainty; after all, Marvel will undoubtedly want to market it as much as humanely possible and will try to use TLG as one avenue to do so. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I am excited for where the Age of Ultron sets take us. Does anybody think one Agents of SHIELD Set would be nice in order to recognize the show? Quote

wesker Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I am excited for where the Age of Ultron sets take us. Does anybody think one Agents of SHIELD Set would be nice in order to recognize the show? Not really. I find the show to be pretty average overall and the cast would make some pretty bland minifigures without any real superheroes or even uniformed SHIELD agents. The also show doesn't seem to be that popular - certainly not for any merchandise tie ins. Just one set is going to shelve warm like crazy. With there being so little from X-Men and nothing from Fantastic Four, I think there's bigger priorities out there than Agents of SHIELD. Quote

Well really it could just be Agent Coulson and Hill vs some villain and they could call it AoS to bring in some viewers to the show. I'd be down for that. Quote
Dharkan Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 I think chances are high about getting Shield and Arrow sets in 2015 for Marvel and DC. Both have really big hype at the moment and growing stronger. Quote

Borex Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Why would they produce a SHIELD set without superheroes? I wouldnt buy that. Thats dull. And just shield people? You can always buy those new ultimate agents sets if you want agents, right? The Superheroes line is for superheroes first imo. A shield agent can be an extra in a set, but never be the star of the show. Quote

A shield agent can be an extra in a set, but never be the star of the show. There are clone trooper sets/battlepacks and they serve a similar purpose to the Star Wars universe that Shield Agents do. (Kinda) Also, by those standards, Black Widow and Hawkeye should never have sets based around them since they are Shield Agents. They're part of the Avengers but not technically superheroes. I may be pushing the line here but I would just really love a Coulson and Hill small set with maybe another generic agent. Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Agents of SHIELD is getting much much better, and I think it's popularity has the potential to rise pretty well. Maybe not right now would an Agents set make sense, but I would like to see at least something from the show in a set. At least put Coulson and Lola in a set with someone else. Quote

AoS has gotten so much better in the last 3 episodes it;s unbelievable... some sets would be awesome Quote
Borex Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 It may be become more popular or whatever, but what kid watches AoS? It's a series for teenagers. Not the targeted audience for TLG. I can see a coulson happen though (no new molds, just a guy) but then again in a set with some 'real' superheroes. By the way i think of Hawkeye and Black Widow as real superheroes (avengers). Not of agents of shield. Quote
iamste Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Coulson will probably show up the same way Nick Fury did- in a spider-man set. In the Ult spider-man cartoon he's an undercover SHIELD agent posing as Peters Princible and also dating Aunt May, so he has a pretty big role in that show. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 However he appears, I'm pretty sure it's an inevitability that we will eventually get Coulson in a set at some point, seeing as he has become a major fan favourite as of late. Quote
Suspsy Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I'd love it if we got Star Wars-style army builder sets. Two generic SHIELD agents, Coulson, and Hill in one set, with a monitor station, an arsenal, and a flight pack. And then two green and two yellow HYDRA agents in the other, piloting some funky little bad guy vehicle. Quote
TheBatstan Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Since Beware the Batman is coming back on air after the hiatus, and the A-Listers are showing up, like Ra's al Ghul, Killer Croc, Harvey Dent/Two Face and (rumored) Deathstroke, maybe we could get a few sets? Quote
