Hey, wait! Where's Aquaman!? Did he get bumped from the Justice League?? I mean, Robin's my favorite superhero ever but he does not get to steal Aquaman's spot on the League!

The new batman minifig is actually his new 52 suit but and the cowl really could be BvS or New 52 as they both have shorter ears.

Either way this is definitely the cowl we'll be getting for the foreseeable future.

Nope, those wings does not look organic like the hawk guys, there are however other currrent option for those.

for batmans wings I don't see why they wouldnt print and reuse this piece: http://thebatmanuniv...atman-Wings.jpg

That's why I'm wondering. They already have a piece that would work just fine, so why make a new one if not to implement it in a figure that needs it? The Hawks are just the first two winged heroes that came to mind. Maybe Vulture in Marvel's corner? He's supposed to be in the Sinister Six movie and his wings are more hi-tech in that one.

To be honest I could see all of those minifigs (except for maybe space batman) being released in sets over the next year or so as they all look like they've been designed by lego.

As much as I love the games and the "models" in the games, I can't remember the last time we've ever got sets based on stuff from the video game. I don't want to crush people's hopes - I know Lego and DC approves all the stuff WB/TT includes it in the game, but it doesn't mean we'll ever see them as actual sets or minifigs.

You're right, that is the New 52 Batman. I didn't think his logo was that big in the New 52, but it's about the same size and the belts match. Isn't it odd how many Batsuits we've identified by their utility belts?

the wings in the trailer seems distinctly bat shaped, they propably just wanted to make something crazy for him in the game and/or trailer.

Can someone explain the version of martian manhunter? Do you think we'll get him in a set, due to the fact that they are not using his new 52 version in the video?

Well, New 52 version was an exclusive polybag figure and Lego Batman 2 used the New 52 Manhunter (albeit a sightly different version) so it looks like a set with this classic version is coming.

Good to hear, I was afraid we would never get him after that polybag and the move to New 52 marketing push.

As for the others, Hal Jordan looks perfect and Wondy/Cyborg are okay although I don´t see the need in them. Superman and Batman have a New 52 design now that´s okay too since they don´t use as much seams/lines. The new cowl looks interesting but Batman uses a black head with flesh printing (at least the New 52 outfit from the screenshots) so that could lead to some print problems like with Captain America and Stormtroopers. The cowl would also be perfect for Adam West.

All in all I am pretty satisfied with the figs for now, now it only needs another set with Flash and some good villains.

A lot of this stuff looks too much like what LEGO would do, apart from Cyborg's abundant leg printing. The new Wonder Woman uses all of the same pieces in different prints. Cyborg's headpiece looks this enough and has the eye printed on the piece like LEGO would do. Besides, we've already gotten New 52 versions of Aquaman, Flash, and Martian Manhunter, so it would only make sense that, as the old Superman/Wonder Woman set's exiting stores and the Man of Steel sets are fading, that they would reissue Supes, Wonder Woman, and Batman to match. We've already had speculation about Green Lantern coming soon, and after that the New 52 Justice League (which is obviously their end game right now, what with DC shoving that down our throats) will only be missing Cyborg. Plus we're going to need a new Batman cowl when Ben Affleck graces our movie screens in 2016.

Classic Wonder Woman'll look a little out of place next to all of the New 52 Justice League, plus her new costume's better anyway. Cyborg has to round out the League, once again for New 52 purposes. I hadn't considered the fact that they're using black heads for Batman, which could be concerning. Hopefully they realize that Batman's a big enough deal for them to try to perfect that whole flesh-on-dark printing thing.

I think that looks like seomthing lego would do, the print seems to cut off at the right point, it's jsut the way his legs are bendt in that animation that makes it look like its further down than it should.

And lego has started doing alot more feet printing recently.

Maybe the space Batman is the pre-order exclusive?

If they do make a Cyborg, it may just be the first DC set I've bought since 2012. Nice to see DC getting their act together if the figs do indeed appear in sets next year.

I don't see why they wont do a space batman after we got a scuba one

The scuba batman was awesome. I loved the double sided head. One side can work well for customs or even space related figures. So the new space head could work really well too!

yeah I wasn't saying scuba batman was bad just sad spiderman does not get any love

but I would want space batman for sure

It's not, it's the new 52 batman. they are similar but not the same.

Ah. That makes sense. I'm sure we'll also get the space suit Batman in a set next year. Like y'all said, we got Scuba Batman this year.

Batman gets top billing as usual... isn't this more of a Green Lantern game? Either way, I'm excited about it. I can't wait to see how it plays compared to the previous Batman and Lego Marvel.

Sweet. I'm looking forward to this game and any sets we might get based on it. I don't know why they use this design for MM or why GL has green gloves in the trailer, but I hope this is yet another sign that we will finally get GL and hopefully Cyborg in a set soon. I think I liked Cyborg's classic look from the last game better, but I wont complain if we get this one. Batman's spacesuit and WW's new silver outfit look surprisingly good as well, so I wouldn't mind getting those either. I hope we will get a set with Brainiac in his skull-shaped ship versus Space Batman, GL, Cyborg, and maybe Wonder Woman.

I reckon we will get a wave based on the game in winter 2015 as these look like new designs and the story of the game couldn't be more set friendly. I mean a quest to collect objects to beat the baddie? That's Lego all over. Plus the change of location gives Lego another reason to make more batman sets as this game involves other planets which could amount to a set on each planet and lantern ring to collect which fans would just eat up. Plus as It says JL and the legion of doom are at first in competition then team up to stop the baddie that could mean each set could involve Batman and a hero or/and villain versus braniac's forces for the rings. If there were 5 or 6 sets with a ring in each then imagine the amount of leaguers and legion of doom members we could get. I certainly would expect space bats in the smallest set and lantern and new 52 in another and maybe some new villains and leaguers as this would be heading away from Gotham. Maybe the flagship would be braniac attacking the watch tower like the poster implies with some exclusive villains and heroes and batman maybe.

So with this announcement, a LEGO Marvel 2 can't be far off, right guys?

...Right?

I was surprised we're getting this one so early I expected us to have to wait at least 2 more years since lego batman 2 came out 4 years after the first one so I doubt we'll be seeing lego marvel 2 any time soon.

Well, With very few themes for lego to make action games from at the moment, And with marvel very much in the public eye, Combined with the immense popularity of the first one i can see it happening very soon. After all lego do at least 2 lego games per year so it must be immanent....?

To be honest it makes perfect sense for LEGO to release sets around the new video game.

First off after the Delay of BvS LEGO has had to create a new bunch of sets. That most likely explains why we're probably getting a ton of new 52 variants. They don't need new moulds, and really full out a set with variety.

Second since DC doesn't have any kid shows or films out next year, it would be good from a marketing perspective to link to something that will sell well.

Third is that it already gives LEGO some ideas for sets. They can look at the game and say, watchtower would fill this slot, and that brainiac ship would fill the £20 set. It's also a way to keep Batman as the main character but include a lot of fan favourites.

When can we expect to see a list of playable characters?

I dont think they had satrted building the BVS sets as much as it was just planned as the focus of the 2015 sets,

Same as how they are planning on making avengers 2 sets for 2016, but that wouldnt mean they have started making them yet.

I think most of the winter wave marvel sets were based off vehicles/figures from Lego Marvel Superheroes.

Heck, even the exact same wolverine and cyclops from the x jet were in LMSH
