So I already decided I'm picking up the Milano soon but do you guys think I should get Knowhere Escape too and just get the entire team in one go? Is the Knowhere Escape good?

Is there any sign of a GotG Polybag in the wild? I'm not aware of one, but it's weird that there hasn't been one yet. Polys do tend to sneak up on us, though.

It would be nice if they somehow could put the SDCC Rocket in a polybag....

I would love it if they created a polybag with a minifigure-scale Groot. That would make a great promotional set...

I know they (Groot/Sentinel) are the same size, but could I see this in comparison to a minifig, and some Bionicle/hero factory characters (Preferrably Bionicle as I don't actually own any HF sets :P). Also, could you guys tell me which one you prefer? I'm leaning toward knowhere, but the X-Jet seems cool.

I'd help you if I had some bionicles but I don't. I like both sets, they all have pretty nice minifigs. However, I think the X-jet would've been better if it didn't have Magneto because he really added nothing to it. Woohoo, new torso print. I really don't care about him. The older Magneto is better anyway. If you don't have the old wolverine and magneto, then that may help you decide. I can't say which I like better. The x-jet set is sort of lazy in comparison to Knowhere though, in my opinion. Storm doesn't even have her headpiece (not to mention her hair is the re-used female superhero piece) and we've had almost the exact same Magneto before. Cyclops is an alright fig (he looks a lot better in person than in pictures) but they could've chosen a better one to design him off of. Wolverines cowl is nice but to be honest I could've probably lived without it.

Thanks for the insight. I'm leaning toward Knowhere, simply because I got Starblaster Showdown yesterday, and need more Guardians.

Knowhere's a playset. The Blackbird is not, and is $10 more than Knowhere. The characters in both are excellent, however, and I would probably choose the Blackbird first.

Actually extremely Dissapointed with knowhere. Pretty much bought it for Rocket/Nebula.

I wasn't thrilled with the build of Knowhere (that could change once I see the movie and thus what it references) but there are a lot of nice parts in there. If you MOC spacey things, it's not bad at all.

On the other hand, I really like the look of the Blackbird. I'm impressed enough to display it a while before parting it out. (I did remove the flickfires, though. They're just out of place.) I also like the minifigures in the set better than Knowhere, even with a couple of partial repeats (and Wolverine's mask is totally worth the repeat).

That's the whole thing about Knowhere. The whole support beam thing was hard to find out where it was from (other than the yellow pits) and the cannon was what really stumped me

There was a short and rather forgettable scene near the beginning of the film with a cannon (It was in the movie for less then a minute). Most likely it was included to either try and mesh two scenes together or more likely it was added just to increase the play features. Frankly, it's really impossible for Lego to accurately depict Knowhere in a $40 set, so I don't find it strange that they added in some non-movie things.

Its a rock like cannon when Quill is persued for the first '2014' scene

LEGO probably included Groot in the Knowhere set to complement Rocket. Since he was a major player in that scene, Groot was thrown in as well.

I wish Marvel would have pushed for a set based on the prison escape rather than Knowhere. Two inmates, one Nova officer, Rocket, Groot, and Nebula (just because). The prison locale is much easier to capture in LEGO than the spread out Knowhere scene.

Everybody's hyping about GotG...still haven't seen it because it releases on 28th of August in Germany :(

I won tickets for the European premiere (saw it on July 24th) :D, but I will definitely go to the cinema to see it in german aswell! Awesome movie.

Love the Bane & Batman Set. Is there any set with Bane's car in black as Batman's car in the movies?

If you want that set, it's probably on its way out soon. There are two versions of Batman's Tumbler, one in the old Batman theme, and the UCS Tumbler this year.
