strangely Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Not so fast! I read in an article last year before CC that Lego confirmed that they weren't going to do a TDKR set. but what did we see at Comic-Con? the two figures. I think they're just bluffing and trying to hide the real truth. here's hoping There is always that possibility. It certainly is pretty standard to withhold details. And honestly if all they have to show is one set I would be really disappointed. Honestly I'm already disappointed about SW, I really don't want to be disappointed by SH as well. Quote

I think they're just bluffing and trying to hide the real truth. here's hoping Oh, you mean that article that was based on the fact that the was no set announced so everyone just assumed there wasn't. Plus a couple weeks before the film came out (and CC), WB sent out an article statting all of its promotional toy and collectibles, on it said a construction set inspired by TDKR would be released . So no, i don't think they bluffing anymore, just keeping it in line with SW, Hobbit, TLM of only showing one set. They must not be showing Marvel's cuz theirline might solely be based on Thor:TDW. Pulp Detective Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Damn I really hate the whole "secrecy" thing, they think if they show to the public a toy based on the movie it will be the end of the world and it'll spoil all the movie secrets from the beginning to the end. Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 ^ I know, the IM3 sets ruined the whole film! Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 There are pictures up! And it's awesome! I'm on phone now so can't link but visit HothBricks on Flickr. There's a cane!!! Quote

just2good Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 Why such a small image? -Sci Bigger is blury, don't know why. HOTH BRICKS Flickr! Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Oh, thanks. So is the cane a cane or is it a gold crowbar? Looks like a crowbar to me. -Sci Quote
Spider-Man Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I really wish LEGO would pick a format for the Con and stick to it. Two years ago it was some preliminary figs for Avengers, then last year was awesome with seeing the winter wave minifig line up, and apparently this year we only get to see one D.C. set? I would rather know from the beginning we are only going to get one set preview so I don't get my hopes up of seeing some LEGO awesomeness. I really though LEGO would go all out with Marvel this time around since the new game is coming out with so much hype. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Damn Batman looks awsome and its good to see that Riddler got his cane!! It looks like it´s just a golden crowbar. Really hope this isn´t everything for this years Con, just disappointment after disappointment in every theme except the LEGO Movie. Quote
just2good Posted July 18, 2013 Author Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Oh, thanks. So is the cane a cane or is it a gold crowbar? Looks like a crowbar to me. -Sci That's what it looks like. I actually like the vehicle a bit more as a picture "in the flesh". Really hope this isn´t everything for this years Con, just disappointment after disappointment in every theme except the LEGO Movie. Don't wanna veer off topic, but don't forget the Hobbit set Saturday (supposedly). Edited July 18, 2013 by just2good Quote
DJ Bricks Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Oh, thanks. So is the cane a cane or is it a gold crowbar? Looks like a crowbar to me. -Sci It a gold crowbar, at least its accurate in color. Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Stop moaning, and appreciate why got something. Why is nobody commenting on how awesome Batman is rather than Riddlers gold crowbar... A tragedy I know. It's miles better than the red one! Honestly... Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Just noticed - Why is he grey? http://images.wikia.com/smallville/images/a/a8/Batman_DCAU_Beware_the_Batman_JL_2486748-beware.png That picture shows black. I haven't seen the show so I don't know. -Sci Edited July 18, 2013 by Brickdoctor Changed oversized image to a link. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Just noticed - WHY is he grey?! That's quite clearly black. I'm kind of tired of this. -Sci He's grey in the show, that picture doesn't have the best lighting to show it. Quote
CM4Sci Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 He's grey in the show, that picture doesn't have the best lighting to show it. Oh, ok. Sorry! -Sci Quote
Drock Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 I like the Batman. Though I prefer the classic one from the Batcave, this is a simple but not crazy variant. Batmobile looks good too. I'm not sure how I feel about the orange cockpit cover but we will see Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Well, shame about the crowbar. The batmobile looks a bit better, but I still think that it is overly large and the front is ugly. Batman and Flash look good, and Riddler is okay, but I'm still not over the racing jacket. Quote
legofreak86 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) Just noticed - Why is he grey? [snip] That picture shows black. I haven't seen the show so I don't know. -Sci Then shouldn't his cape and cowl be the same colour? if he is grey in the show. Plus still can't tell the riddler's cane and what his full jacket looks like. Edited July 18, 2013 by Brickdoctor Please don't quote images from recent posts. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 Then shouldn't his cape and cowl be the same colour? if he is grey in the show. Plus still can't tell the riddler's cane and what his full jacket looks like. The cowl, cape and an underwear area are black, the rest are grey, so the figure is accurate. Quote
legofreak86 Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 (edited) hang on a sec I just watched the first episode and the suit is jet black! It isn't grey the colour of the cowl and the suit is all jet black! It is a shinier black but it is still black! Clear as day! Maybe because the original concept art for the suit was grey with a black symbol Lego decided to go with that design. That's a shame cause the one in the show isn't grey. Plus the belt is innacurrate as the real belt is straight and this one has the bits at the ends of the belt with a circular curve to them plus there is no triangular meeting point in the middle. I'm starting to think this Is based on something else and only the car is from beware. Just found an image of the beware action figure completely different colour scheme and design. Either Lego were deliberately trying to make this design inaccurate or this is based one something else. The figure is worlds apart: Edited July 18, 2013 by legofreak86 Quote
