I was kinda hoping they would shoe-horn the Winter Soldier in to the Red Skull set, Captain America 2 sets are beginning to look unlikely. Captain America and Falcon might have their Cap 2 suits. Winter Soldier should be easy to make with the new Ninjago pieces.

Damn, I like to be proven wrong. Them Marvel set descriptions are fantastic, in particular the Hydra one. I thought it'd be $40, not $20 that was mentioned some pages back, and knowing Lego it'll be £20, and for Red Skull, a Hydra goon and a new Cap that's a bargain. I'll probably buy 3-5. My attention has now moved away from DC, and on to Marvel completely. I'm not as interested in DC anymore, I was holding out hope like the rest of us that the Steamroller was going to be good, and that's gone out of the window, meaning that it will be just the £10 set for me. However, I don't care about the price or even the actual set, I'll be getting the AIM lab no matter what for Falcon, Taskmaster and Thor, couldn't really care less about MODOK or Hulk, but still at least it's non movie based. After that, the Doc Ock and Electro sets, and then ebay Powerman. Bring on the X Men and GOTG!

Spidey polybag is pretty bad, as we have so many of that Spidey variation already. Oh well, the packaging looks great on it. I like the use of the 2012 art.

WOW! Falcon, Power Man, MODOK, Red Skull, Green Goblin, Taskmaster, and Electro! These are gonna get a lot of play at our house.

I was really hoping we would get White Tiger in this wave. But this gives me hope for another cool USM set, maybe Spidey & White Tiger vs Kraven & The Lizard!

This looks to be a fantastic set for the MOC and customizing crowd. Assasins Creed fans rejoice! With Taskmaster we are pretty much guaranteed to be getting a white hood piece. (and most likely a new printed shield and a chain mail torso. So Castle people may like him.) I'm just confused about how they categorize MODOK as a minifig, and worry that he is packaged with an already known Maxifig, Hulk. Modok is a big giant head with tiny little arms and legs in a floating chair? Doesn't he pretty much have to be a custom piece of some sort?

That's how MODOK looks in the game (so there is high chance that he will be like that in real):

It looks like MODOK uses a normal torso and legs in the game and only the head is special, so maybe that's why he is considered a normal minifigure? :shrug_confused:

Or if anyone was lucky enough to get a 2012 comic con Shazam figure, they could just add the white hood for the new 52 variant.

It's crazy to think how many different colour variations of the Jedi hood we have now. In the last 2 years we've gotten Dark Blue, Red, Dark Red, Dark Green and now White.

I think we can assume that Falcon will look like he does in the LEGO MARVEL shorts, and so will Red Skull.

Thank you for those set descriptions Piranha! It's nice to have a confirmation that Taskmaster is the "unidentified" villain in the lab set. Here's to hoping the designs are as good as the descriptions, except for the bank truck set, but a classic Doc Ock is enough to recuperate for a bad set.

Well, with that Spiderman polybag.......then why Batman be the only one with a lame flying machine eh ?

I think the difference is that batman actually needs them to get around so people are more critical. Spider-man doesn't

I really hope that spiderman poly appears in the next newspaper promo and Im really liking the sound of them marvel sets, thanks piranha :classic:

"Poor MODOK"? The only thing poor here is the translation, but thanks nevertheless, Piranha! These sets are probably going to be underwhelming like the rest, but the minifigures sound very promising!

I don't believe it! Just when there was hope...

What exactly gave you hope? The Spider-Copter? The Spider-Trike? The Spider-Car?

Let's face it, the Super Heroes theme is going in the same direction as other Marvel/DC toys by making random vehicles and slapping the color scheme of popular heroes on them to sell them to kids who will buy anything that has their favorite hero in a colorful matching vehicle in it. :sadnew:

Because the Bat-plane is a giant mess. It's easy to dismiss a lame vehicle if it is just a polybag or small part of a set like Nightwing's glider, but Batman's Flying Bat-Claw of Justice makes up half of an expensive set, so people expect to get their moneys worth, but instead we get a big ugly contraption that doesn't even make sense.
