I think CA:TWS Soldier sets would be extemely nice since it looks like an amazing film. SHIELD is always nice to see in my books, and the secret-agent espionage aspect is likely to capture a child's imagination. I disagree, I want more SHIELD!

It wouldn't be anything new, from the Trailer you can see it's basically vehicles that LEGO has already made, A Quinjet, Attack planes and Jeeps all of which have already been made. Also from the looks of the film, it will eventually become Cap vs S.H.I.E.L.D, which would incredibly confusing for younger kids when LEGO has constantly been showing them as good. I would much rather see Superheroes instead of rehashed spy stuff.

When are we going to see pictures of the marvel sets? We have descriptions, but just no images.

We had prelim pics of the 3 Spidey sets and very accurate drawings of the 2 Avengers ones.

Also everything except for the laboratory and the rumored darkblue Spidey is in the LEGO Marvel game in its final design, we would just need somebody with the game on PC to make some decent screenshots.

Falcon and Winter Soldier, and we're getting at least one of them anyway.

Movie figures = cartoon figures

Red and white Falcon is as useful to make a movie Falcon than a Spongebob minifig.

The Hulk and the Cap sets sound interesting, but I believe there is no chance for a Winter Soldier set now. Lego is making random sets to accompany the movie releases, but not real movie sets.

Well, DCs first wave had the Batcave with Comic Bane and we got Nolanman v.s. Big Guy six months after the movies release anyway, so that doesn´t mean anything except that the Cap 2 set has a greater possibility for an at least decent design.

But movie sets are very limiting, where as the TV sets are more diverse. If they made Cap 2 sets we would only get WS, Black Widow, Cap, Fury, Falcon and Cross bones. All of those characters would be too S.H.E.I.L.D heavy, and in all honesty I think we've had way too many sets based around that organisation. So far Four out of 11 Marvel sets have been S.H.I.E.L.D vehicles. Also all of those characters are very similar, there either Soliders, Mercs or Spy's. At least with the Avengers sets were getting a bit more variety with a selection of Hydra, Mercs, Experiments gone wrong, Asguardians, a Hulk, a super solider ect. It kind off keeps the theme fresh.

All the Cap sets would be rehashes of Avengers sets, it would be another S.H.I.E.L.D jeep with Fury and WS, another Quinjet with Falcon, another Helicarrier room with Cap and Black Widow. While the jeep is black in the trailer, so was the Jeep the Cosmic cube escape set was based on. It would just be Dark blue vehicles.

At least next years Movie sets, Guardians of the Galaxy will be entirely original.

Hydra tank is a 6x16 plate on 18 wheels with a turnable 6X4 plate on top and flickfiremissiles/olive slopes randomly slapped on it.

Laboratory is just a tube tower thingy like in the Helicarrier and USM Doc Ocks lab plus a wall that breaks apart if you press a button.

I would have gladly payed full price for that Shield APC from the game or even more pick up trucks, they at least have actual thought put into them instead of this lazy stuff that looks exactly like what a kid would build out of its own collection of random parts.

I doubt we will get anything ever from LEGO that you proposed. Laboratories all look the same regardless of who they are from, Hydras stuff would either be identical to what LEGO has already released for Shield or a lazy bucket of parts like the 2014 Hydra tank and don´t even imply LEGO will ever do Asgard sets, let alone good ones. With that much gold either the bigger pieces would break in a few years like 2002 Super Battle Droids or we get dark tan builds with golden 1x1 studs scattered across with no sense for aesthetic.

MODOK will make at least make an interesting minifig if they pull it off right.

They failed, brick built Modok would have been superior (and accurate).

I just really hope we get to see The Winter Soldier somehow.

That NinjaGo scarf looks 1:1 like the scarf of Winter Soldier and many figs from the LEGO Movie sets and NinjaGo also use metallic arms. Either we get a set with Winter Soldier later this year or he will be a promo fig. And even if that doesn´t happen (which I assure you 100% it will) you still can moc him yourself when you buy the aforementioned sets.

I'd rather have a new Cap set that came with the Red Skull. Especially if the set consists of RS's car from the first film.

I would have bought that for full price on S@H and payed shipping.

Man, that Hydra tank just screams zero effort it´s really sad just to look at it. Only good thing about that set is the classic style Hydra goon.

I don't understand how could you dismiss Captain America 2 sets after seeing two minutes long teaser. I was personally really looking forward to them, especially after it was definitive there won't be any Thor 2 sets. I was hoping for updated Cap and Black Widow (now when we have the perfect hairpiece they don't use it? Although she has longer hair than last time.), Falcon, Winter Soldier, maybe even proper Fury, and of course some nice builds, and we get another expensive lab set with Hulk instead, based on some stinking cartoon? :sceptic:

They could have done a real Helicarrier, similar to the ISD priced at $200-$400. However, I think they are saving that for use as a more generic platform. Where they can lump a lot of heroes and villains together and not worry about any continuity (hopefully it would include some "obscure" ones).

I don't think anyone is complaining, just offering their feedback on a product they are enthusiastic about, nothing wrong with that. It comes down to the rendition of the character and the execution of the sets. A lot of people like MCU Iron Man, but the sets were so poorly executed and lackluster that they failed to do justice to the character or film. If we got some well designed Thor or Cap sets based on the MCU then everyone would love them.

If TLG is making sets just to sell the minifigs (which I think they are), they should just switch to a CMF model. Minifigs should always compliment the model and build, not the other way around.

Look at it from Lego's perspective. Their main consumers are, and always will be children, not AFOLs. They're going to go with what they think will sell the most. The 6868-1 Hulk set was very popular, so it makes a lot of sense to make a second one. And hey, we get all-new minifigures of Falcon and Taskmaster, a potentially intriguing MODOK, and a Hulk with purple pants.

Maybe the Thor minifigure will come with bare arms to boot.

I don't think anyone has shared an image of Man-Bat's second face yet, but I found this while browsing on Flickr. It looks sort of awkward. :sceptic:

Uh! Awkward is a good way to put it. I wasn't impressed with Man-Bat, but this doesn't help. Flash looks a bit better in that picture, though the lack of yellow boots is very noticeable.

At this point, despite my love of all things DC, it's going to be hard for me to buy these sets (Aside from the Penguin one) when the builds are terrible and the figures are not very spectacular, especially being 52 design (As I hate all things 52). Not happy with this wave whatsoever; I still don't think Lego understands the power of this license.

TLG doesn't have a lot of choice regarding the "new 52" designs. DC says which versions get used where. If they want to try and pimp the new looks that's what the licensee gets to do.

Those figures look great. I will easily plan on picking all of these up. I originally want impressed with that Batman, but now that suit looks awesome. But I also happen to like the second face on man-bat. I'm not loving the new riddler though.

This is also a good image of Batgirl, but with a placeholder cape. I can't wait for this figure.

That link doesn't work for me. :sceptic: Do you mind doing it again please?

I'm with Nemo. They just don't do it for me. Nightwing looks constipated, Manbat looks worse than a MOC using Monsterfighter and CMF werewolf bits, Flash isn't as good as Christo's, Riddler's printing is amazing but his outfit is just odd. Batman is the best of the lot, but we don't exactly need another version of him. A pity.

I really wish that Riddler was based more on the original BTAS design:

http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111101031840/batman/images/f/f3/Btas_riddler.gif

I also wish they'd give him a proper question mark cane instead of a red crowbar.

Flash looks decent, but I'm not a fan of Barry Allen. Well, to be more accurate, I'm not a fan of how DC erased Wally West from existence.

Lego's DC line suffers from the same affliction as DC itself---way too much emphasis on Batman over all other superheroes. If the Lego Marvel line was the same way, it'd be nothing but Iron Man sets with Cap randomly tossed in one and Thor randomly tossed in another. The video game's title would be "IRON MAN & Friends" and the cover would consist of a gigantic closeup of IM with a few other heroes way off in the background. Thank goodness that's not the case.

I agree, that's pretty much why I think they need a summer wave. At this rate, we'll have to wait years for DC and Lego to get around to making characters like Hawkman and Black Canary. We'd be lucky to get even one Teen Titan not from the Batman family, and while Marvel is elaborating on each of their characters, we'll have to wait years to even get little exposure from one of ours. I'm not buying any 2014 DC sets (I just decided not too long ago, so please ignore any previous posts about my purchases) except for the Penguin set. It's a sad day for both Lego and DC when we're judging them on how terrible the minifigs are, that just goes to show how bad the set designs were. It's a hard day to be a DC fan (not implying that you are, but for me it is).

I'm a Marvel fan through and through. I love the Bruce Timm animated series(Batman, Superman, and Justice League) and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but I've never followed any DC comics regularly. The New 52 struck me as idiotic from the moment I heard about it.

I'm also not impressed with Man-Bat, he looks not evil at all.....a bit of wuss he really looks like.

Would the Man-Bat be the worse minifig ever in the Super Heroes theme ?

No no no, that´s just a bit too harsh. He is pretty crap because he is basically identical to the other two bat people from CMF and Monster Fighters save for colors and exact printing and is essentially a useless release if you have one of those. But I would say Riddler takes the cake since he never wore the costume they gave him, is a mess made up of two or three greens but could have been an awesome fig since they bothered to make a green bowler hat which ends up useless since no fig uses the new slimey green color right now and makes even kitbashing impossible.

New 52 isn´t the problem, it was just a reboot of their comics universe which Marvel and DC do all the time. The problem is that they want to change so much stuff in one go and force it down peoples throats without regard, even outside of the comics. Cyborg getting crammed into LEGO Batman 2, all those New 52 outfits in the LEGO sets and a Damian Wayne fig in a set. I really can´t understand this. Damian Wayne… man. I read all the time that these sets are for kids. So have you shown your children your TPB of Death of the Family yet? No? Yeah, I thought so. He should have been a Comic-Con exclusive if anything and given a real hero like Green Arrow or Captain Marvel a spot on the Steamroller set.

This is just the blunder of the century and I really hope they change their game in the next wave, this way I either buy only the Penguin set and maybe the Flash/Batgirl headgears alone or hope for a CMF line where they can release better designs than those "random lines everywhere" costumes.

But colleague, Cyborg will definitely get a release since he is on the Justice League. : ]

When the "Green Lantern is in a summer set" rumor is legit the next wave probably ends up giving us some more New 52 style JL members like Hal Jordan, Cyborg, Wonder Woman and maybe Superman (he isn´t really necessary when MOS Supes is also practically identical).

Also:

Nu52 Cyborg: http://static.comicv...3935-cyborg.png

Close enough for LEGO, I guess.

It´s this way since 2012, it´s just that now all figs are atrocious instead of just a few.

You do bring up a good point, if they're is a Summer wave, we may just get all of those figs. But the winter wave is just so bad IMO, that the risk of there not being a Summer wave, is just plain scary. I still don't think DC will catch up to the amount of Marvel minifigs there are in years. Unless there is a summer wave, and it will need to be packed.

I'm now debating with myself whether or not to get the steamroller, new joker, goon, plus new figs like Batgirl and Damien Wayne (Jason Todd anyone? ) make it very tempting, but that riddler chase set is just so. so .. :wall:

I always feel strange not liking "Christo's" Flash when everyone else seems to. :look: The quality that the figure is reproduced with is great, but I never liked the helmet or face in the video game. :sceptic:

Also, this screenshot just showed up on Brickipedia. It's probably the Thor figure we'll see in the lab set. :classic:

I think I like the movie version better. This one looks too surfer boy.

Though I do like the movie version better, I hope we get this one with the comic helmet. I have three Thor figures already, so I want some variation.
