tafkatb Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 And to everyone who keeps talking about switched set names: look at the text under Captain America in the bottom figure line. Yeah, who says we're not getting a variant costume? Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Oh yeh I remember that time Spidey was Captain America! Quote
Sirtank Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Took the advice from brickshow, and stopped by Walmart this morning. To my surprise, they actually had the Man-Bat set. No sign of any others. I'm pretty glad to have the new Nightwing figure since I sold off most of my original Lego batman sets. Quote
Lego Spy Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Sorry if this was already mentioned, but who is the character with the white hood in 76018? I was thinking it looked like one of the numerous Marvel characters Taskmaster. Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Sorry if this was already mentioned, but who is the character with the white hood in 76018? I was thinking it looked like one of the numerous Marvel characters Taskmaster. Yep, it's him. -Sci Quote

Lego_Zebra Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Well here is my thoughts on the 2014 Marvel sets 76014 - Finally, a Electro!!!!! Wished Lego made the green and yellow costume though. The Spider-Trike looks absolutely horrible. I will be getting this for the Electro 76015 - Overall like the set. New Doc Ock, I like the bank truck, it could be used for many different things. But would have liked a spidey variant. 76016 - Like MJ and PM but come on Lego we want a classic Green Goblin!!!!! Spidery copter is ok, like the colors. Overall I don't think i will be getting this set 76017 - LOVE this set I think it's amazing!!! I like the Red Skull and Cap, but I wish the Hydra Agent had a different face. I think with Red Skull the face works, but not with the him. I think the tank is cool. 76018 - I think the minifigs are fantastic with this set but I don't know about the lab. Maybe if I see the broken wall but back together. Overall I think the sets are great!! Would have liked a spidery variant, but maybe next year?? Quote
Legoman123 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) I really love this Electro we are getting because he has parts of his body that are transparent. That means (sorry in advance for going a bit of topic) force ghosts are possible! I also remember reading the description for 76014 and that said 'new exclusive Electro', so I'm sure Lego have only used this Electro because of the upcoming movie. So that been said makes me think that we will see a classic Electro sometime in the near future. Edited December 7, 2013 by Legoman123 Quote
Suspsy Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) I do wish they'd given us Spider-Woman or Black Cat or any other female character instead of that policeman in 76015. The lack of women in the Marvel line really does bug me. That's one area where DC is ahead! Also, I wonder if those blue walls in 76018 are supposed to have stickers on them. I sure hope they will. Tom Jurassic Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Tbh, a Guard was neccesary in the van set. Otherwise who is driving it, as it would not make sense for someone like Spiderwoman to be driving a bank car! ;) Quote

Tom Jurassic Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I wouldn't be complaining! Haha! XD Well, let's not forget, she could always be flying a Police Helicopter in the Summer Wave. ;) XD Quote
Pulp Detective Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I still hope we get some X-men sets,if not movie based at least some comic version sets. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I do wish they'd given us Spider-Woman or Black Cat or any other female character instead of that policeman in 76015. The lack of women in the Marvel line really does bug me. That's one area where DC is ahead! I completely agree, even Gwen Stacy would be accepted, which would be weird since we're already getting Mary Jane. I sorta wish they'd give us more iconic locations in this theme rather than the occasional car that never even existed in the first place. I'm glad to get a new Doc Ock, but how many people were crying out for a bank truck? It's bad enough Lego does these same type of cars every 1-2 years in Lego City, but now they're coming into the superheroes theme? I don't think I saw any demand for a bank truck, but compare that to the amount of people asking for a Fantasticar.... Anyways I'm, overall pleased with the minifig selection, more females would be nice, but I assume (emphasize the assume) that we will get a least 1 female figure in the X-Men set(s). I'm sure we won't get Gamora for GOTG as they are already making 8+ sets and if they do make a GOTG set, I'm sure it'll be small and stick to the males. I'm loving that cap set, I mean Red Skull! There's no way they could have disappointed me with Electro, so that's good. Great minifig selection on the Hulk set, and the build is alright, looking forward to that. And as for the spidey-copter, better than the prelims, but that's not saying much. Here's to hoping Storm shows up eventually, and not as one of those darn SDCC exclusives! Quote
Legoman123 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I still hope we get some X-men sets,if not movie based at least some comic version sets. We are going to get some X-men sets in July 2014. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 From Votvik, we have a picture of Modok's head: Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks for the image amazingbricks. I knew I'd love that MODOK fig, and his printing and mold don't disappoint me. I do think it may be a little too large or heavy for a minifig body, though. Anyone else here already seeing this guy tip over? Quote
just2good Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 From Votvik, we have a picture of Modok's head: Nice find, it sure is an interesting head. Quote
Faefrost Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I'm just overjoyed that we are getting a more traditional (well current take on it) Red Costume Falcon. Woohoo, no black Commando gear. And MODOK is adorable. Quote
Ultron Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 The lack of women in the Marvel line really does bug me. That's one area where DC is ahead! I hope we get: Storm, Jean Grey, Spiderwoman, Ms. Marvel, and Scarlet Witch! Marvel has some awesome females they just aren't utilizing them! Haha! XD Well, let's not forget, she could always be flying a Police Helicopter in the Summer Wave. ;) XD True! I kinda hope they give her those spider flaps that she has in the games though! It wouldn't be a total loss if they didn't though. From Votvik, we have a picture of Modok's head: Modok looks amazing!! So much better than I thought he would! I thought they were going to print his head on one of those curved castle wall pieces -_- Quote
adotnamedstud Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 The BtB fig has great potential for a purist Batman Begins figure... Now just to have the proper belt. (Note: Yes the bat symbol was different in Batman Begins when his armor is bullet-proof and knife-proof but it decreased his mobility, hence a new suit in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.) Not sure on the purist BB Batman but replace the grey hands with black and replace the black midsection and you can get (or closest to as I'm surprised he wasn't in this wave) a New 52 Batman Quote
KingPixels Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Spidey Copter- Beautiful, I absoloutely love it to pieces and will buy it, although I wish that Power Man had come with a new Hair Piece. Lazy Lego. The set was probably based off the concept art for USM in which Power-Man was bald. Sorry if this was already mentioned, but who is the character with the white hood in 76018? I was thinking it looked like one of the numerous Marvel characters Taskmaster. It says it's him at the bottom of the page. Quote
sologuy369 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 As Cap is my favorite superhero, I will be picking up the Hydra Tank set and possibly some multiples. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of Winter Soldier sets as I've been hoping for them for a long time. But we still get a Cap set not to mentioned MODOK and Falcon, all Captain America characters, so I'm still happy. I will be picking up the electro set and the doc ock set too! Quote
Borex Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 They should make a polybag with a hydra goon in it (and this time with his mouth closed) for armybuilding Quote
