just2good, I would switch the Hulk lab and Spidercopter prices, Hulk is a bigfig plus MODOK uses a very large new mold, those two could warrant large prices on these sets, plus the build seems to be remarkably larger, and the spidercopter is a helicopter, which almost always sell for around $20-30 dollars (if they are the main build), but with Green Goblin, I'm sure it'll jump to $40.

You have a point with the bigfig Hulk, but the Spider-Helicopter has a bigfig Green Goblin, too.

We'll see. I still think the Lab will be less than the Helicopter set, but maybe the will be $50 and $60 respectively like I originally thought. The Helicopter has those big turbine moulds, and Bigfig Hulk is a new mould all together.

i Can see the Lab costing at least £10 or $10 more than the helicopter. There seem to be more pieces in the Lab, and let's face it, more minifigures usually means a higher price. I don't think lego really care that the Hulk mold has been used before, they would still want to get maximum profits from it.

Thanks for the pictures. I will get the bank truck set, which is the best build and has a great Doc Ock fig. Might get the Electro set.

- What's with all of the Spider vehicles? Part of the charm of Spider-Man is he is clueless New Yorker that lacks even a drivers license.

In USM, he works with SHIELD who can supply him vehicles. Although the only "canon" one so far is the cycle from this year.

- Electro is a cool looking figure, that looks far more like Iceman then Electro? I understand it is the movie version. But still kinda unrecognizable.

It is actually the USM version (not wearing the black jacket/hood). But the ASM version is also based on the Ultimate comics like the USM one.

- is it just me, or does the Green Goblin look far more like the Abomination than like any interpretation of the GG ever presented?

Not just you, everyone pretty much hates it. I would have liked ASM2 body armor GG.

- Why would Spider-Man need or want a helicopter? He can't even drive a car? What next, the Daredevil Action Tank?

It is Disney's version of Spider-man, and all the sets are very reminiscent of Hasbro products. Random characters with random vehicles.

- the Hulk lab escape has some of the best parts, and some strange inclusions and exclusions. MODOK, Taskmaster and Falcon. Absolute perfection. Fantastic figures, and they make perfect sense together. You can see this story. Hulk, ok he kinda can fit in there, and at least he has purple pants. Besides he is a sales leader. Then we come to Thor? Thor in an AIM/MODOK set? Really? They just don't go together. It's like having Thor fight Daredevil's Mafia thugs or Wolverines Ninja. It just doesn't work. On the level of scale and power it's having Thor punch out a big headed quadropalegic in a wheelchair. I'm thinking this scenario isn't much of a nail biter? And really Thor adds nothing to the set. They couldn't give us an AIM Beekeeper instead?

It is based on Avengers Assemble, which is a pretty bad show on par with BtB. I agree with Cloney O, it looks like a Town Jr model.

I'm not a 'fan-boy' so if I buy any of these sets it will be for parts. I'd put up Cap, Hulk, Spiderman(doubtful anyone wants him) and Modok for trade. All the others I have uses for.

Hopefully that sticker on the Spiderman 'trike' is transparent, as I have a use for it.

Powerman's outfit looks like it would make a passable wet-suit, or something for a classic Blacktron I build.

That Spiderman 'copter wouldn't be hard to re-color with existing parts. I think I have most of them in my collection.

The cartoon Green Goblin (much bulkier than the any of the comics' transformed goblins) can be used for some sci-fi.

Doc Ock has yellow hands and what looks like yellow printing, but has a flesh head. Is that supposed to be gloves and an undershirt? That torso could be a suicide bomber.

Falcon also has yellow hands, but I'm not as familiar with him. Doesn't he wear red gloves? Remove the wings and change the head to a standard yellow, and I'll have a nice addition to my Kingdoms Lions figs.

That Hydra henchman will make a good cargo handler, with a head change. I'll be tempted to remove the printing from the head to use as a plant part.

Electro's torso and leg printing would look good next to the Yeti fig's. Those trans-(medium?)blue arms might be good for some sci-fi greebling. Is he medium blue or medium azure?

Red Skull, Thor, Taskmaster, Mary Jane and the truck driver get deconstructed too.

You can get the prices by querying the Walmart Canada site:

76014 - $16

76015 - $25

76016 - $55

76017 - $25

76018 - $60

Wow, so I was wrong. Look at that.

76016's price is odd, I've never seen a set that's $55 CAD. Maybe it will be around $40, or even $45 (very few sets are $45 in the US, one that comes to mind is the Coast Gaurd plane). 76018 will be $50 in the US based on other prices.

Maybe we can start a drive to collect and sell all of the bricks we'll have from horrible vehicle designs that we never built because we just bought these Spidey sets for the figs? We could put it towards a trust fund for the kids of whoever signed off on these weak sets...

I think the light red shield comes in the new 2014 cap set. I could just have been me but I thought they changed to light red along with the new medium blue Cap figure for the cartoon.

Are you sure it's medium blue? Looks regular bright blue to me.

What is up with Thor's cape!?

EDIT: Never mind, it would appear that's how they do capes in renders. Hm.

Man that Thor looks aweful. The colours arectoo bright and prefer the beard :/

When you zoom in on the big photo, it doesn't look like it is. There is a visible red section that is discernible from the actual piece.

Well, Lego has convinced me to buy this entire wave. It's not all as good as it could have been, but at least it's more interesting than this years stuff.

Seeing Electro up close has definitely convinced me on the design. The bank truck is actually a good design and the Doc Ock looks so spectacular that at $20 I'd have to bite. MJ and Power man are awesome. As for Green Goblin he's definitely not the version I was wanting (Which I expect is a majority opinion), but he does look very good up close. I'll wait for a sale for sure, but I'll still be adding it to my collection.

The captain America set is pretty much perfect in my opinion. Three great minifigures and one really good vehicle that's effectively colored. The Hulk lab smash is pretty good too. All the minifigures do look really nice. Other than Thor's face looks wrong. Also it's curious that the lab itself is colored like Thor's minifigure. It's yellow, blue, grey, and black, exactly like Thor. It's just an odd choice.

Nope, it's based on the Ultimate Spider-Man tv show, which in turn is based on the Ultimate Spiderman comics in which Osborn injected himself with a drug called Oz that turned into Devil-Hulk

Does anyone know what's up with Green Goblin, and what's going on with him? Does it have to do with the Spiderman movie it's "based" on?

Green Goblin can transform into that in the Ultimate Spider-Man world.

The Avengers Assemble sets are looking great figs-wise. I'm only a little confused by LEGO's choice with Taskmaster's shield - the thing is supposed to be a replica of Captain America's shield and it always looks like the same shape as his. Why did LEGO not go with a nice printed version of the Cap shield? This flat one with stud doesn't look right at all.

I must be the only one that likes Thor. The variation is at least didn't than before. I hate having so many multiples of useless figures.

I really like the torso, maybe even better than the Avengers version. The lack of a beard almost doesn't look right though. I will say it's well designed even if it's not my personal preference. I am disappointed that they didn't take this opportunity to use/sculpt a different hairpiece. The current one just doesn't fit that well.

I should clarify I meant the new minifigures. Not ones that had been done before.

1st Tier are things like Superman. Instantly identifiable even by non-fans much of the time.

2nd-3rd Tier are usually characters only comic book fans would know (second tier more identifiable). Characters like Luke Cage, Falcon, Taskmaster, Modok are absolutely not identifiable unless you're into the comics or the new cartoon. I'd argue their stories suck more too :P and that some of the first tier characters are made lesser by being unidentifiable to older fans (Green Goblin being freakin' huge, Electro looking completely different).

Most of the others aren't really new characters. I'd like a Red Skull and Mary Jane (with it was Gwen).

Well, seeing as these sets are based on the respective shows...it should be apparent which versions of the characters we were getting. Taskmaster has been in the Ultimate Spider-Man show, as has blue Electro, which is his 'Ultimate' comics look(as is Goblin).
