Numbuh1Nerd Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I don't know why... But it looks kinda intresting Well, it's the same Bats we've seen a hundred times, albeit with the wrong cape. The pose and the background are alright, but I don't know about interesting. Quote
FinalFeature Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Finally got the Riddlers Chase yesterday. Flash looks so much better with yellow boots on. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Are those Spiderwomans boots? They look great on him, and then lightning bolt and T piece on the legs are very symmetric. Great build, wish Lego had gone this route. Quote

Freddy Bricker Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Woah, did you win her at Comic Con? If you did that'd be awesome, but owning nay of her parts is still great too. Quote
FinalFeature Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Woah, did you win her at Comic Con? If you did that'd be awesome, but owning nay of her parts is still great too. Yup I won her and Spider Man. Didn't get Black Suit Superman or Green Arrow though. Ironic that I being more of a DC person end up only winning the marvel figures. But still there really nice and wish they were more widely available for everyone. Quote
TheBatstan Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 'Vader' on Brickhorizon has posted a review on the Joker Steamroller! (I may be stealing J2G's thunder, hope you dont mind) Still not sold on the monstrosity that's called a Batplane, but the rest of the set looks amazing! Top sets for me right now are the Riddler Chase, the Penguin Set and Juniors Batcave Quote
just2good Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 'Vader' on Brickhorizon has posted a review on the Joker Steamroller! (I may be stealing J2G's thunder, hope you dont mind) LOL, I don't care who posts it as long as this stuff gets posted. Thanks for posting it speaking of which! The Steamroller has me conflicted. I'm not sure if I'm sold on it or not. It's an interesting design, but it may be a tad clunky. Quote
Lego Spy Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 The Steamroller looks a lot like a vehicle the Joker would use in one of the older movies in my opinion. Quote
TheBatstan Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Same here. Out of all the sets this wave, this is probably my least favourite in terms of a Bat-Vehicle. The Steamroller looks really well done and the minifigs are superb (except for Batman) but the Batplane doesn't male up for the price which is probably going to be $60 CAD, if I do get this set, it'll be the last one and im probably getting all the others and the Juniors Batcave ASAP Quote
eldiano Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Where is everybody getting these sets from? Quote
Ceroknight Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I knew the Steamroller will be brilliant so I'm happy about that...figures absolutely amazing... But the bat plane...why does the wings fold? I'm still going to aim to get this set however! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I've tried to hunt down an image from the net to see where Lego got the idea for that Batplane......my conclusion is it's a take on early comic book Batplanes.....early meaning 1940's. Must be a reason why the wings fold inwards like they do......it couldn't take-off like that ? Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Eh, the Batplane at least has some pieces I'm looking for to improve on the one from 2012. But the steamroller is good and I still can't get over Batgirl. Quote
Suspsy Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Judging from the photos on the back of the box, the Batplane's wings can act as a clamp to capture the Joker. Never mind that: 1) This would probably kill Joker; 2) The Batplane would crash. Logic aside, ugly is ugly and that thing is ugly. I'll be sticking with my nice classic Batplane from 6863. Quote
montgocloud Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I just don't get why that Batplane doesn't have a front propeller... It looks bizarre and frankly unfinished without one. Quote
Spider-Man Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 It looks like the Batgirl mask doesn't line up with her eyes right Sort of disappointing. Quote
BrickG Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I just don't get why that Batplane doesn't have a front propeller... It looks bizarre and frankly unfinished without one. Front propellers are kind of old fashioned and aren't on many planes these days, especially military ones (which Batman's stuff is kind of military). I think it would be odd WITH a propeller. Though this is still a very ugly plane. Quote
Sirtank Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I got the Riddler Chase at Toys R us this morning. I spotted it again later at Target along with the Man Bat set. Quote

I think it would be odd WITH a propeller. Though this is still a very ugly plane. True, but like lightningtiger said, the Batplane in the set is almost identical to the one seen in the 40s comics. If they were afraid of making the plane look too old-fashioned, then here's a hint: don't base it off of an old-fashioned plane! There's been a plethora of Batplanes and wings over the years, surely LEGO can find one to do an adaptation of... Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I'm still not 100% convinced about the Batplane, but all the new figures and the steamroller have me sold. If need be, I can take the plane apart for extra pieces. Quote
The_Creator Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 That Batplan looks so odd, but I love the Steamroller and I'd really like Robin and Batgirl. So, what's the price on it? Maybe I can get it on Amazon for 20-30% off next year… Also, am I the only one who thinks Batgirl would look way better with a dark purple cape and boot printing? Utter lack of boot printing in DC is depressing, but I'm guessing TLG likes not spending money on leg printing… Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Has anyone else noticed the shield symbol in the back of the Spider-Helicopter? I find that interesting. Quote
Piranha Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Yup I won her and Spider Man. Didn't get Black Suit Superman or Green Arrow though. Ironic that I being more of a DC person end up only winning the marvel figures. But still there really nice and wish they were more widely available for everyone. I was hoping somebody would try that. It does look very nice, but I am sure everyone knows why they didn't include printed legs. To save that version for another set so we can spend more money. Quote
wesker Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 It looks like the Batgirl mask doesn't line up with her eyes right Sort of disappointing. That was the one thing that annoyed me about the Catwoman minifigure. Shame to see it happen again on Batgirl. Still a nice figure though. Quote
