The Riddler Chase seems to be the best set so far, despite all the initial criticism. I think I would like to get that one first. I llike the Penguin and scuba Bats, too. It's nice to get unique costumes like that.

I doubt it, when we get to the next Batman wave it will be time for man of steel 2 sets. So LEGO will most likely have a set promoting the Batmobile in that film, instead of the one used 7 years ago. Plus I get the feeling that LEGO will be too busy from here on to go back to produce sets based on old films. Just for Man of Steel 2 LEGO has to include:

Superman

Lois Lane

Maybe Perry White and daily planet co

Batman

Maybe Alfred

Nightwing (rumoured)

Robin (rumoured)

Wonder Woman

Flash (rumoured)

Green Lantern (rumoured)

Metallo (rumoured)

Lex Luther (rumoured)

That's a lot of potential characters and Confirmed characters that LEGO need to look at. I don't imagine that they would produce all of them, but they need to get the majority of important ones. So by 2015 I think LEGO will be too busy for a new tumbler.

Also if we get another DC wave in 2014 then I doubt it aswell. We already have a set with a tan tumbler in it, so I doubt LEGO will produce another while that's still on shelves.

Indeed, I can't see why they would produce another tumbler after having one out in the previous wave. It's not really that iconic anyhow.

I agree that this may be the last tumbler we see for a while. It's a tough model to get right with the strict guidlelines that designers have to follow. They're much more likely to come up with a new vehicle entirely when they need another Batman set.

It's a nice solid-looking one to go out on, though. A good rendition at that scale.

Not a bad design I suppose. It's not really one of my favorite Batmobiles, but I will buy it nonetheless just because it says "LEGO DC Superheroes"

The black tumbler was only in TDK so it's even more odd releasing it 5 years after that movie.

This is a US version, so my guess is that it's already in the States! Maybe Target put out their Valentine's Day display early.

Hello all, I've been gone for a while as I haven't been able to go online much, but is there anything I missed so far? I logged on and it turns out I'm seven pages behind in this thread, andwonder if any news (of a second DC wave?, something) came up during my absence. I know Cloney has been clogging up the special themes forums with reviews, great ones too, so I'll be sure to check there, but anything I missed out on here?

Oh and has anyone seen that tumbler in stores? I don't buy microbuilds, but would like to know when it's available.

I haven't heard anything of Metallo being in the film. I doubt Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, or the Flash will be prominent enough in the movie to be put in the sets, although I'm pretty sure Nightwing will be in there. The confirmation of "Robin" and the casting call they put out is too on the nose for it to not be Nightwing. Lex Luthor was confirmed by Zack Snyder, the director. Given the characters we saw in the Man of Steel wave, I'm almost certain that we won't be seeing Alfred in a set based on the movie.

Nightwing was in a set this year, so I'm sure that the one or two sets we do get next year, that aren't based off of the film, will be batman sets with him facing off agaisnt (of course) the joker and probably a villain that won't be in rotation next year (Two-Face comes to mind) and maybe 1 new hero, most likely Cyborg.

Just saw the catalogue for this year and I saw that the Bane vs Batman set & MoS sets are still in there. Does this mean I still have time to postpone these sets or do you think they are retiring very soon? They seem to be sold out most of the time on Amazon though

Those sets came out this year, which means they are more than likely going to get retired December next year, or January 2015. We should really put up a thread somewhere for retired/retiring sets.

They keep dancing around a Green Lanturn minifig, appearing In the Batman 2 game. And in the upcoming Lego Movie. I think there was a SDCC exclusive a few years ago. Are they actually going to do one in a regular set?

Hello guys, I was looking through my most recent January LEGO catalog and noticed that the LEGO Batman sets were available but when I checked online ( In the US ) They were not there. Does anyone know when these sets are coming out that could help me?
