Thanks for the picture, too bad they didn't snap a picture of the whole page, I would have liked to have seen the GoTG set. The X-jet with Storm, Cyclops and Wolverine against Magneto sounds very plausible, and a must buy if that is what it is.

I bet that there is at least one more character, since the only SH sets that have four characters introduce a new big-fig mold (Helicarrier and Spider Copter). Maybe it'll come with Sabretooth or Mystique too?

Best attack on the Blackbird I've seen, or the most inventive, was Magneto who levitated then dropped Juggernaut head first at the Blackbird's wing. It was in a different, yet similar Marvel universe. As a comic fan, their are plenty of X-Villains they could use, whoever I don't think most here or general Kids know who Proteus, the Marauders, The Savage Land Mutates, Magneto's Acolytes, The Reavers, or Brood are, and I think some are too mature perhaps for Lego to venture in to, such as The Hellfire club, U-Men, and the Purifiers. I think it's more likely that we'll see Sauron on his own, multiple Magnetos, Sentinel's and The Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants, maybe some odd Mutants such as Juggernaut and Omega Red. Great news about a better Storm, great observations!

Well there is a light blue person in tye cockpit, and a darkblue prelim person with yellow hands so Cyclops is a given. And with him Storm and Wolverine (or another. X-Men) against Magneto and a bad guy, like Sabretooth

The downside to this means we're only get the one X-Men set. There's no way we'll see any additional ones if Wolverine, Cyclops and Storm are all coming together. And only getting one X-Men set every two years just isn't good enough. :cry_sad:

Where's the light blue person in the cockpit?am I missing something but the image posted has a fraction of the clear windshield piece and nothing else I can see - looking at prelim fig on top of box below I think it's the magneto pictured - hands look white and looks like a helmet.

You can see two on the photo, there's the top of a second x-men set underneath.

Those look like yellow hands with a dark blue body to me, so I'm pretty sure it's Cyclops. These things change though.

Do we know that isn't the box for the set with Magneto and Storm though?

I totally agree with you… but then I think about the X-Men's villains, I can't come up with many that have cool costumes, especially that anybody would know. I'm not big enough into comics to know them, and all I can think of is the Sentinals, who would take up a whole set themselves. I suppose the likes of Toad, Mastermind, Emma Frost, Sabretooth and some others could make cool figures, but if LEGO needed to throw in a figure to attack a plane without its own vehicle - Magneto makes sense. At least we get a different costume (hopefully, things like that have reverted sometimes in the past).

This! Honestly the only other true X Men villains that probably have broad enough pop culture recognition would be Juggernaut, Sabertooth, Mystique, Dark Pheonix and the Sentinals. And figure Juggs would need a full big fig, Sabertooth would need something like Chewbaca or Beorn, if not a half big fig like Dogpound. The Sentinals would make a great set ala the Superman Lex Luthor set. Dark Pheonix was already done as a cursed SDCC exclusive. I'm still praying for a classic comic style Mystique. (Maybe also use the head for a Chiss over in SW? I can dream can't I?)

I'd love a dark skinned female that doesn't have purple eyes like Stass Allie. It'd be nice to use them in MOCs for my castle stuff.

Bad news then Storm is normally depicted either with white eyes when powered up, or blue eyes when not.

I think the box at the bottom is a Guardians of the Galaxy box, and the dark blue figure with a helmet is probably Star Lord. He would be a dark blue military type uniform, white gloves, and a helmet with a similar domed profile to Magneto's but with a more elaborate gas mask type piece on the front.

Hopefully there's a cascade of pics of these sets over the next few days, prelims or otherwise! I'm very pleased to see that LEGO is going with the Blackbird for one of the X-Men sets. While I would love to see an X-Mansion with several minifigs, I don't think LEGO would be able to release anything decent at an affordable pricepoint. So, here's to hoping LEGO's other X-Men set is a brick-built Sentinel. Of course, Sentinels are like Lay's potato chips, no one can have just one!

Dark Phoenix hasn't been done yet, just the regular Phoenix in the green costume. Even then there shouldn't be anything stopping that costume from being included in a set.

I would love to see Dark Phoenix with a brick built Phoenix effect! Also, one of the features I enjoy with the Hulk Bigfig is the shape of his fist that enables it to hold a Minifig by its legs. Now, imagine a Colossus bigfig with a fist shaped to hold a Minifig for a Fastball Special! Maybe incorporate a spring-loaded arm to perform the move, too!

How did I not comment on these yet? Well there's nothing bad I can say about these. I'll be perfectly honest and say that Lego pulled it right this time. But it just frustrates me even more to know that DC will barely have half the sets Marvels getting. And it's all Batman and reboots, so nothing new but figures and bad designs! Ugh holy megabloks where's the fun in that?

I am enjoying the news of these new sets as well but does anyone know when the LEGO Batman sets come out in the US?

update: nevermind I found them. Thank you.

The blue fig appears to have a 2 part name

Is it "Actual Size"? :tongue::classic:

I found a sole Riddler Chase at Target last weekend, so I know that they are out, but it had been pilfered. :hmpf_bad: Word is that Man-Bat is also out in the wild, but no sign of any of them on US S@H.

How do you know we're not getting DC sets in the fall? Looking at this year LEGO are releasing each companies waves at different times.

January DC

March Marvel

Summer Marvel

Maybe DC in Fall

I feel your pain however, at the moment the only comics I'm reading are DC and X-men. So I'm incredibly upset over DC's lack of variety. However in saying that a lot of the characters I prefer to read are appearing in sets.

Nightwing

Batgirl

Flash

mans more X- men.

It's like LEGO has been watching what comics I've been buying the past few Months.

Thank you for your help. As soon as I finished typing that message I checked again on S@H and they are there. I think I may have helped you as well. Good luck!

You read Batgirl! :classic: I've probably read less than 80 X-Men comics in my life, so I won't be complaining about them. My only hope is that we get more females in Guardians of the Galaxy. Gamora anyone?

^ Nebula too. Marvel could use some female villains.

I did read on Imdb that Nebula will be in the movie, though the only way we could get her would be if we got the full cast. And what if her appearance is brief and she doesn't really "join" until the next movie. Or has it been confirmed that she will be a Guardian of the Galaxy?

Also, if DC does get a fall wave (pray for Cyborg and non SDCC Green Lantern) then when would we hear about that?

Sony sold the merchandise rights to the Spider-Man movies back to Disney last year. So we may see ASM2 type sets. X Men and FF movie sets are still under Fox's control. (Although TLG now has a business interest with Fox via the Simpsons, so other Fox related sets may not be farfetched. )

It doesn't matter anyway. LEGO can make as many unofficial movie tie-ins as they want. Do you think we'd see Ultimate Electro if it wasn't for him having a big movie with that exact version of Electro? They're allowed to do pretty much anything with the characters as long as they don't use the logos or anything. They even made the movie Spider-Man into a ComicCon exclusive figure, so...
