Sam892 Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 I just picked up the Man Bat attack in my local TESCOs. Personally I think it's a great set, Nightwing is almost perfect and both the glide and Bat Coptor are great. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Agents of SHIELD sets would work fine as a set, better than Arrow really. Just make an Agents set with a Marvel paintjob a supervillain. Arrow really doesn't have anything that lends itself to toys of any sort, so we'd just need to be asking for a Green Arrow set. I love both shows, even if Arrow is almost constantly ripping off Batman instead of making Green Arrow a charismatic loud mouth. Ironically enough, I think I like Arrow more than Agents of SHIELD. Borex Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Agents of shield or arrow. Are those rumoured sets? I thought that there was only the x-men set and the gotg sets? For people who wanna stay on point with the rumours it's sometimes very confusing when people post stuff about shows, movies and whatnot. Especially if it's about what people like to see in a set. Brickforia Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Another unfounded rumour but a thought I've toyed with, Green Lantern vs. Sinestro would make a good Superheroes crossed with Creator set. Picture it, the two lead figures (a large Kilowog if LEGO we're feeling kind) & each with a selection of translucent pieces, obviously GL with green, S with yellow & instructions (or your own creativity) to assemble different rings' creations: weaponry / vehicles / objects to attack & counter the other. Wouldn't that just embrace the point of LEGO, provide extensive playability & also most likely (keeping the price-point low) be a popular set? Quote

I think what LEGO would do with this type of set ( lantern vs lantern ) would be to include two vehicles that are each made of translucent pieces. Too of the top of my head would be a jet for Hal Jordan and some kind of yellow Translucent Spaceship. Of course if you didn't like the vehicles then you have enough parts to make what ever for each character. Edited January 25, 2014 by Sam892 Quote

And that would force them to make bricks in translucent. And if they did, they would be really really small vehicles and there would probably only be one.. Quote
gedren_y Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) There is a way Lego could do the Green Lantern Corps as mini sets that would be relatively inexpensive. They could make small container sets that include a fig. Something like the Holiday Ornaments with parts to build a couple different models. This could work for Wonder Woman's invisible plane, and a few other superheroes. They did this with the friends line this passed holiday season. In Marvel, I could see the Human Torch, Invisible Woman, Storm, Jean Grey, Venom, Carnage, Magneto and Namor. If the ornament sets would be too cost prohibitive with the license, they could create something like the Star Wars Plants series. Edited January 26, 2014 by gedren_y Quote

I think if LEGO could figure out how to make Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet they could pull off something similar in green. I'd expect that they'd make a few green translucent ones and then a bunch of solid green parts. Or maybe just solid green parts all around, that would probably work just as well. I just picked up the Man Bat attack in my local TESCOs. Personally I think it's a great set, Nightwing is almost perfect and both the glide and Bat Coptor are great. I didn't like the glider so much that, for the first time ever, I didn't use the decal. I'm going to find a neat design for a motorbike for Nightwing (probably just a recoloring of Batman's bike from Batcave set) and use it then, so he'll at least have one decent vehicle. Quote

I'm not optimistic they'd ever decide to make that many trans-clear or trans-green pieces. Would be super cool, though. Also I know I'm the odd one out but for some reason I really like Nightwing's glider. Objectively I know there's nothing special about it but it just looks so cool to me for some reason. I do wanna give him a bike though. Wouldn't mind grabbing that Robin polybag, pretty similar to the batcave motorcycle but in red/black. Quote
TheBatstan Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I'm thinking about using Karai's bike (removing all that excess junk off of it first of course). The bike even has red rims so it fits even more with Nightwing Quote

TheBatstan Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Yeah I'm probably going to either make a sleeker version of it or make an homage to the original bike from Arkham Asylum Quote

Bricktimus Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Oh man, Coulson hadn't even crossed my mind as an exclusive. That would suck! Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 As the discussion is on what the exclusive could be, I think I'll contribute. Hulk was a comic based character, a character who had already got a figure in the form of the big-fig Hulk. Jor-El was in the MOS film, although he didn’t have a huge part throughout the film, correct me if I'm wrong, I haven’t seen it. Based on this, and assuming it'll be Marvel, here are my guesses: Coulson, maybe a way to test the AOS market? Thanos, comic based, my guess is he'll have a cameo at the end of GOTG, like Avengers Civilian Logan, or something else X-Men related, vest, jeans, dog tags, cowboy hat (either Indiana Jones style or Lone Ranger), alternative hair Maybe classic Cyclops? Or 90s Mohawk Storm? Phoenix? Quote

legofreak86 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Yeah my thoughts are Coulson, the winter soldier, Nick Fury. You know what? It would be odd If the ASM 2 Spiderman from SDcc was the exclusive. Then they wouldn't need to do any new printing as it would essentially be a re release.Just a thought! Out of the four mentioned above any would be amazing to see. I was so glad they did jor el as he was a huge part of the movie. Quote
The Joker1 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Hi, Sorry if im being stupid but what is this exclusive FOR? Is there some special release of something i missed? I'm usually good at this sort of thing but i seem to have missed something. Anyway whatever its for I would like to see a winter soldier figure as we will likely never see one otherwise, Or if we want to be really outlandish why not the collector? Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 The exclusive is for spending a certain amount at the Lego shop (I think it is online only), I'd like to see Bruce Banner. Quote

Gremer Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Ok thanks. When is this going to be available? I believe last year's was around June 12, so it may be the same this year. Quote
Swifty118247 Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 I'm here in the UK and I was wondering if anyone has seen any of the LEGO Marvel sets here in the UK? I know a few people have talked about it but I wasn't sure is any of them were from the UK so I thought I would ask. Any news about it? Quote
