Swifty118247 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Yeah that's the count I was coming up with. Wasn't counting Iron Fist/Nova/Powerman, I did count Wolverine and Spider-man. I don't know why. If you count the new avengers, Iron Fist, Spiderman and Wolverine are all members. But still were not at 12 Edited February 1, 2014 by Swifty118247 Quote
Robianco Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Knowing my luck GL will be part of the Sea Cow crew! Quote
Colossus Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 phenomenal! Martian Manhunter FREE (with $75 purchase)! I don't have to buy a damn Batman set to get J'onn to boot. Win/win! Quote
legofreak86 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Hope the Martian Manhunter promotion goes on in the UK as well as the last two Lego superheroes exclusive figure ones have and they were great. I like this figure looks very nicely done. Quote
jonwil Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I know Spider-Man was part of the Avengers in some form in the "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" TV series (I also remember Spider-Man saving the life of Captain America...) Quote
korpen4444 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 MM!! Going to be a great bonus with the SteamRoller! MM: Indeed. In response to someone else, if GL is part of the Sea Cow set, I'll be ticked. Though that depends on the price. Either way, we shouldn't be seeing GL until 2015. I hope. Quote
Rinzler Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 BOOYAKASHA! Please tell me the all the Marvel sets are released in march, I will buy them all at once and get MM for freeeee! This has really lightened up my bad day, I have the flu and i found that JESSE EISENBERG is LEX LUTHOR! almost the worst day ever Quote
gedren_y Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 IIRC, Powerman, as Luke Cage, was an Avenger before Spider-man officially joined the team. but was less active in the Avengers comic. The version we got is from the USM cartoon which makes him what, a junior member of the Ultimates? I don't even get the cartoon here, and I'm disappointed with what they did with his character. The fig being based on the cartoon only makes me want him for parts. This Martian Manhunter fig as a freebie w/ $75 purchase is a want not because I'm into DC in any way, but for GOH. Quote
korpen4444 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 JESSE EISENBERG is LEX LUTHOR! Superman from Young Justice: You have GOT to be kidding me. Oh, and the Avengers are set for March, USM for April. Quote
blksuperman2 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Wow, I'm excited about Martian Manhunter. It really seems odd though to get Leaguers like Aquaman and MM before a Green Lantern. If they release a Hawkgirl/ Hawkman before GL I might have some sort of nerd aneurysm. Quote

If they release a Hawkgirl/ Hawkman before GL I might have some sort of nerd aneurysm. I wouldn't be surprised if Hawkman is in the new series, Lego already has the parts to make one (Chima Eagle). I've always wondered if the Chima Eagle headpiece can be used with a Batman minifigure head. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hulk, Falcon, War Machine, Spider-Man, Luke Cage (Power Man), Wolverine, Nova, Iron Fist, and Storm have been Avengers, not counting SDCC stuff, although for some reason nowadays they count Venom as an Avenger. Pretty much everyone and anyone has been an Avenger. MM looks great, wish it was a Marvel fig but I'm pleased to see the JLA expand. That's now Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman and MM, plus GA and GL exclusives. Quote
korpen4444 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 That's now Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman and MM, plus GA and GL exclusives. Don't forget SHAZAM! Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 There's one bit of Superheroes news from the Nuremberg Toy Fair after all... : http://www.promobricks.de/spielwarenmesse-2014-duplo-superheroes-angekuendigt/1702?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter ...it's just the Duplo sets though They look quite cute I have to say Quote

I've always wondered if the Chima Eagle headpiece can be used with a Batman minifigure head. Check out the custom Hawkman minifigs on eBay US and they will give you an idea. A couple look pretty well done, but not for $40-50 USD. IIRC, Powerman, as Luke Cage, was an Avenger before Spider-man officially joined the team. but was less active in the Avengers comic. The version we got is from the USM cartoon which makes him what, a junior member of the Ultimates? ...I'm disappointed with what they did with his character. Word. No chains, no 1970's disco collar, no steel tiara and afro, then forget it! I understand this a kids toyline, but throw us AFOL's a bone every once in awhile. Quote
Brickforia Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Will be nice to make up the Martian Manhunter amount with the Riddler Chase, three Justice League members in one buy (counting the 'Beware the Batman' Dark Knight)! Never thought we'd get Jeremy Irons in minifig form, until he was cast as the new Alfred! About time we got another version of the legendary Pennyworth. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Here's that BTB black variant Hmm, it would appear that variant does not come in any set(s), so my guess is that it either comes in the steamroller, or we're getting another exclusive. Unless of course we're getting another set(s)? Semi-looking forward to this Batman figure, only because it opens the possibility of another set, with more members of the league (which at this point, is all I really care about, and good builds, and more play sets!) Quote
legofreak86 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Afraid the steamroller has been availiable here in blighty since January and sadly the batman in that is just the normal black and yellow one but the new cow fits on it rather than the jet ski giveaway one in 2012.I love that variant though! Why they didn't put that in the steamroller I will never know. It is far slicker than the black and yellow one we now have god knows how many of now. Would be cool if they do an exclusive batman surprise set like with funhouse which they surprised us with in feb-march 2012. Could be where that GL is in a set rumour is coming from as well. That would be a happy development. Edited February 1, 2014 by legofreak86 Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 That Martin Manhunter is just perfect! Now all we need is Green Lantern to complete out original seven justice league members. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Awesome! Martian Manhunter! I am totally getting the steam roller now. Quote
Rinzler Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Oh, and the Avengers are set for March, USM for April. Then please tell me that Manhunter is a $50 exclusive in the UK Edited February 1, 2014 by Rinzler Quote
just2good Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Oh, and the Avengers are set for March, USM for April. Nah, that's in Europe. Or, in the old European catalog. The United States catalog lists them all as March, and Toys"R"Us has 'em up, so I'm guessing March 1st. Quote
Suspsy Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Wolverine and Spider-Man are both members of the Avengers in the comics. Honestly? I much prefer Marvel over DC, in large part because the latter has focused waaaaaaaaaay too much on Batman. That's not Lego's fault; it's more DC's fault for emphasizing him over all their other characters. I want to see more Avengers characters and lots more villains. Big ones. But you probably already knew that by now. And I wouldn't count on seeing any GotG pics for a long time. Marvel undoubtedly wants to keep plot details under wraps for now. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I don't know if anyone has talked about this yet, but what's the mystery set for March. I'm guessing an exclusive set for superheroes Quote
