I am almost positive that that was just a rumor.

No, it was officially confirmed. Although a report said make up artists were trying a lot of makeup for vision's "chalk-white complexion" which is weird because vision has red skin. I hope he sticks to red skin. He would look weird with white...Hopefully he looks sweet though.

True wesker but other than the cool figures the sets with the exception of two are pretty bad. TDW and TWS have much more design potential set wise. I mean with CAP 2 we could have had a helicarrier and with thor 2 Asgard palace, Malekith's warship, flying chariots plus some earth based stuff. I mean minifigure wise we could've got: Odin, Malekith, Sif, Thor (new armour), Heimdal, Jane foster, Black widow, Steve rogers, cap (shield outfit), falcon, alexander pierce, cap (WW2 outfit), Nick fury (MCU) ad of course the winter soldier. Nice to have Skull, Goblin, electro, doc ock (comics), falcon, task master, hydra soldier.

Vision originally had Pale white skin in his first appearance. Red came later on in my opinion.

He was red, as far as I'm aware, then much later on became white due to being rebuilt, sans emotions, by Hank Pym, after being dismantled by rouge US agents, manipulated by Immortus (West Coast Avengers #42-44). Maybe there going to CGI the red on, or that gets put on later in the film after being built?

Vision's skin is red in his first comic book appearance.

It's unfortunate that Marvel (a comic book publisher) and Lego think that Superhero sets based on COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS won't sell. When we were all kids, we bought Lego sets because they were fun to build and cool to look at, not because they were based on cheesy Saturday morning cartoons.

I'm thinking Thor 2 might have come abit close to Castle & Lord of the Rings / Hobit themed sets, & I get the feeling Marvel are worried about GotG under-performing hence why the lego line support.

On a separate note, anyone want to predict the number of Ultron minifigs we're gonna get across the whole Avengers 2 line? Surely it won't be as many as Loki from the first film...will it??

Reportedly Wolfgang Von Strucker will be in the film as well, so they might split villain duty in the sets. It also wouldn't surprise me if Ultron upgrades himself repeatedly, meaning there's potential for a couple different variant figs.

It's possible he would have colour applied in post production. It is confirmed though.

I'm still wondering if they'll address the Adamantium issue, as Ultron had it before Wolverine. I'd love a chrome Ultron in one of the sets, though.

I don't see why they shouldn't be able to use it unless they (idiotically) sold the term "adamantium" along with xmen to fox. I mean adamantium's first appearance in the comics was for ultron! I really hope they can use it. If not, I think they'll just say he's made of vibranium which has already been established in the movies just not as cool :hmpf_bad:

While reviewing the polybag Nolanverse Batmobile, Jason on the Brickshow said that his sources tell him there will be a Ultimate Collector version of it later this year. Interesting. Was really hoping the next Batman UCE set would be the Batwing.

That is the last thing I wanted to here at this point, I really hope it's a lie, or false, or something. All Batman sets all year, no UCS's or D2C's for Marvel, and the next one, of all characters to use is Batman. Maybe if it had potential for more minifigures, but no, another Batman. And looking back at the new variant of Batman revealed in the March calender, the torso is literally a reprint of the 2013 Nolan Batman, which is also interesting. Though the Bat symbol in the March calender Batman is blue, and I don't recall a blue Bat-sign in any of Nolan's movies. This is all just a huge let-down, why not just rename the line: "Lego Batman and the occasional friend we are contracted to release every 2 years or so". But I'll try to stay optimistic, but the Brickshow's reputation can hang on a thread if this is false, and I doubt they'd take that risk if it weren't true, which makes me even more annoyed.

But this may also open the door of possibility just a bit more for other DC sets this year, hopefully with good builds and new characters, which I think was almost completely absent in the Winter Wave save Flash and Batgirl.

I doubt we'll see a CMF series for the superheroes since Lego tried making individual minifigures early in their STAR WARS line (I think they were sold as 3-packs with bases) and Hasbro raised a stink, claiming that this was infringing upon their action figure license. So, Lego started making "battle packs" instead. With the inclusion of a vehicle, suddenly they weren't just packs of figures. And as Hasbro has the rights to the Marvel action figures, the same thing would probably happen.

Err, it's the Beware the Batman torso with a light/dark grey colour symbol.........

The picture originally came up blue for me, weird. But the variant does look like a reprint of the Nolanman variant, not the BTB variant.

That's technically a separate vision. They share the name but that's about it. They weren't even created by the same comic book artists. Whedon's using the vision ultron created.

I am almost positive that that was just a rumor. It seems like it would make sense in THEORY but this movie is already overloaded with characters (Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver, Ultron, that other villain whose name I can't remember, as well as a possible Agent Coulson, Agent Hill, Falcon, and now Vision) It's getting too crowded to start introducing characters like that now. We still have Ant-Man, Black Panther, Wasp, Doc Strange, and many potential others to include in the Avengers 3. He might be set up in this story, but I doubt he'll be featured as an actual hero as opposed to an easter egg.

HOWEVER a Vision minifig would be super cool. Not quite as high on my list as the other guys we'll be seeing (cough*ANT-MAN*cough)

Nope that is the real deal. We are getting Vision in Avengers 2, and he is the voice of Jarvis. Which pretty much confirms and cements the ties between Tony Stark, Ultron and the Jarvis AI.

During the John Byrne run on Avengers they turned Vison entirely white for reasons that still seem strange. He is currently back to his more classic look. If anything I would think we might see a classic Green Red and Yellow Vision as a set minifig and a all white one as an SDCC type exclusive (/shudder). I am sure they will do something different with his coloring for the movie. I can't see his traditional bright primary colors working well in real life, and his red face might look like a burn victim. So maybe they are going for a very pale look? Something ala Data from Star Trek?

I'm still wondering if they'll address the Adamantium issue, as Ultron had it before Wolverine. I'd love a chrome Ultron in one of the sets, though.

They may avoid it. Technically Ultron didn't get his Adamantium shell until his second or third encounter with the Avengers. They blew him to pieces the first few times. They may also avoid the whole "Adamantium" name just to avoid conflict with X Men. Maybe make Ultron from the ramains of the Destroyer from Thor? I mean you need a foe that can stand up to Iron Man and Thor. I just hope we get a minifig Ultron and not a Big Fig. I like Bigfigs, but I think Ultron would work better as a regular minifig, maybe just with an armor and shoulder piece to bulk him up a little. Something like the silver Power Miners.

Oh and one other piece of news that probably guarantees we will be seeing more GotG sets going forward. Disney has already green lit GotG 2, with an expected Spring 2016 release (much closer than expected) AND they have begun production on a GotG animated show for Disney XD in 2015.

There's no way ultron would be a big fig. He's human sized and is probably just gonna be an iron man suit one way or another. I'd be really mad if they made him a big fig. And he's most likely going to be vibranium seeing as how in the movies it's almost the same thing as adamantium and it's silver as well.

That is interesting because at 2:26 in the background of this clip a Tumbler can be seen. However it just might be 7888.

I still think there's a case for the idea of a Star Wars and/or Marvel CMF line. Now that Disney owns both, it's their call, so any previous contract that LFL had with Hasbro may be irrelevant. Hasbro helped shoot down the Lego Star Wars magnet figures as "action figures", but if Disney sees money in the single blind-packed Star Wars figure (which there's tons of money in), I think they would allow Lego to go with it. Blind packed products are hot and people enjoy them; Star Wars hasn't had anything close accept for the Medicom stuff - this may be the time.

Same name, different character. That's the "Golden Age" version - During the 1940s, Marvel predecessor Timely Comics published stories featuring an unrelated superhero called the Vision, who was an alien from an alternate dimension. From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vision_(Marvel_Comics)

Not everyone with even the most iconic look remains the same in the MCU though, so we'll see what they come up with, and then see what LEGO does with it :)

(Complete aside but - Personally, I'm hoping they skip the love interest. Olsen is almost HALF Bettany's age. Just sorta creepy (imo))

I just want a LEGO Winter Soldier. And a pony. And some ice cream.

You're missing the most obvious reason LEGO won't make him a big fig: They'll do anything to cut costs. From not giving Cap a helmet to not giving Spidey leg printing, LEGO will never do something that will cost more if they can avoid it.
