You're missing the most obvious reason LEGO won't make him a big fig: They'll do anything to cut costs. From not giving Cap a helmet to not giving Spidey leg printing, LEGO will never do something that will cost more if they can avoid it.

That's not entirely true. The CMF line has lots of new molds and printing everywhere going on. I think the real reason for underdesigned minifigs in the superheroes range is that they can upgrade them in the future. A strategic plan to get our money also in the years to come.

Furthermore i'm all for comic based designs. I justlike their iconic popculturish looks. I love those comicbooks too. I think its not always an easy path for lego to choose which way it would be; moviebased, comicbased, cartoonbased. For me they went horribly amiss with the Green Goblin and Electro. But i suspect the kids will love them.

He has been white, when rebuilt, but I'd much rather they go for Red/Green, the classic. So no news from Toy Fair, other than Zzz's info, how long till the next Toy Fair?

16 February, Next week :D at New York toy fair we always see the most of all the sets (and i hope including The Hobbit and GOTG)

I think we will see Hobbit sets, but as for GOTG I don't think it is very likely. We should still see the X-Jet though.

In the review of Tumbler polybag from The Brick Show, they mentioned an UCS Tumbler later this year. I don't know what their source is though...

Maybe that UCS Tumbler is the 'secret set' on the 1st of March?

What are you talking about? A UCS tumbler is a fantastic idea! That would be the ultimate set that every LEGO Batman fan wants, especially me. I hope this rumor is true.

Weren't the Brick Show the first ones to claim LEGO would make sets for Iron Man 3? It probably wouldn't have been too hard to guess, but I think that gives them a little more credibility.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see another D2C DC set this year though.

Looks like Lego got the hint when the batman tumbler cuusoo project passed the 10 k mark a few reviews back

I've recently bought off ebay a tumbler using lego's design for Bane's tumbler but done in black for only £12.99 & am chuffed to bits with it. There's no way I'm going to be forking out for an officially produced tumbler now after this one. Anyone who fancies it, here's the ebay link (check it out for the pics if for nothing else):

Sounds plausible to me, this would explain the lack of DC sets this summer (except for the Duplo ones of course) and the appearance of the TDK logo on the polybag Surely they wouldn't have used that particular logo if there wasn't another TDK set around the corner Obviously this wouldn't include minifigs (size-wise it'd be hilarious if it did ), so there goes our chance of getting a TDK Joker

Honestly, I would like to keep our imagination side open. NO ONE knows for sure if it is coming out or not.

If it comes out, I would like to hope it's somewhat the same size as the 2008 one but HEY a tumbler is a tumbler and we can't complain

Well in your opinion at least, I was just really hoping for new sets after we got a remake of both the Bat-Copter and the Batmobile this past wave, and the fact that we only got 1 non Batman character, I'm sick of Batman, but I don't want to kill this thread by saying so, I think you've all gotten the point. Hopefully this means other sets may slide on through this year but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

So if the BrickShow is right we will have the 4 Batman set, the 3 Duplo sets, and the UCS Tumber, which gives us 8 DC sets this year. This seems to make sence, since we'll be getting 9 Marvel sets this year balancing out the number of Marvel and DC sets we got in 2013(5 Marvel sets and 6 DC sets in 2013, 9 Marvel sets and 8 DC sets in 2014, so 14 sets for both DC and Marvel over 2013 and 2014).

Nice and all, but I was hoping for a Marvel UCS/D2C like others. And even then, its a Batman set. The only redeeming feature would be if it was a Frank Miller The Dark Knight Returns "Batmobile", UCS. I'd buy that. Tumbler? Not in a million years. It appears that DC are getting more non set coverage (visual dictionary, starring role in TLM, one off cartoon etc), and specialised/non system sets (Duplo, D2C's), while the sets have limited character selection (limited to the Bat family, JLA, Superman and appropriate villains), while Marvel has little to none non set coverage (only the game springs to mind), no special sets, but a great selection of characters (Avengers, X-Men, Heroes For Hire, Sinister Six,various heroes/villains who work on there own, AIM/Ten rings, Hydra, etc).

But does a set that revolves around Cop's and a police dropship and just so happens to include Batman, really count as a DC set? I would hope not, that would mean less DC sets and more excuses to not give us diverse sets.

Reportedly Wolfgang Von Strucker will be in the film as well, so they might split villain duty in the sets. It also wouldn't surprise me if Ultron upgrades himself repeatedly, meaning there's potential for a couple different variant figs.

I love the idea of changing Ultron and multiple minifigs!

I can't stand all the hype for a tumbler, so I would be extremely disappointed if Lego wasted their time making a tumbler set rather than some DC sets with some actual "meat" in them. Please give me more variety of villains and more members of the JLA and better sets in general before we worry about tumblers.

I agree, I'm ready for the Tumbler to die already. I've said it plenty before, it's a really cool vehicle. It's just not a batmobile.

I'll be disapointed if this turns out to be true. Its bad enough DC is getting another exclusive when we haven't even gotten one for Marvel yet. Its even worse that the exclusive is wasted on another Tumbler.

The excusive wont be another tumbler, We only have one remaining exclusive gap this year and there is a good chance it will be creator. Also we have 1 dc Exclusive still on the shelves so if we are getting another superheroes exclusive it WILL be marvel. I'm afraid the UCS tumbler does not exist.

Okay, I think we get it that you're a DC fan..doesn't mean they deserve all the exclusives..A tumbler is a dumb waste of the slot. Batman doesn't need any more vehicles.
