Where IS the place to discuss having separate Superhero threads?

Seriously. I'm not trying to sound like a jackass ( my wife says that's impossible) but I think it would help cut out a lot of bickering about "My comic book publisher, Superhero Lego set, Dad, etc. is better than yours!" Also, Builders that have zero interest in Marvel sets wouldn't have to wade through 5 pages of how awesome Marvel is just to find that new, leaked photo of the 19th Batmobile to grace the shelves in 3 years.

See what I did there?

I vote for a thread where we can openly discuss dividing the current Superheroes thread into separate Marvel and DC threads.

Maybe you should try PMs instead of ignoring Mod advice and continuing to post in the thread, comments that are fuelling the fire and are off topic.

Split! Split! Split!

I don't care about DC!

75% of this thread has been Marvelites talking about all the exposure DC gets! When you all are getting 9 sets, and we don't even get 5!

Back on topic,(we have strayed way too far off), I think Groot will most likely come in the biggest set. Hopefully as a Big-Fig!

I think someone who saw the sets already said that Groot is brick built. Most likely so you can blow him up and replant him from a shard haha.

I remember that, too. I don't think they could do Groot in the Big Fig style of Hulk and Ultimate Green Goblin. His proportions aren't as beefy as those characters. Brick-built sounds better ;)

Since Groot is most likely brick-built, would I be correct in thinking that he contains several custom parts? The only brick-built, tree-based humanoid that I've seen is Tree beard, and I can't recall whether his form translated well in Lego.

I feel like he's going to look similar to those bionicle minifigs from a long time ago. Hopefully he's more poseable though..

That sounds pretty good. It could be interesting if Groot was the size of Kai's Mech from the last round of Ninjago figures. That thing is rather poseable.

I personally think we should keep the banner. Harry Potter forever and always!

I think we all know you would.

And, WHY IS RONAN DRESSED IN BLACK? I thought he was supposed to be in a green outfit.

Where are the pics of Ronan everyone is talking about? If someone saved them before they were taken down, can you send them to me?

I thought there was only one GOTG set picture?

If we have a brick built Groot, than I hope we also get a flowerpot to replant him.

Sheesh. I'll start a thread myself for suggestions. Just hold on, people.

Please keep on topic now, all right?

Thanks. That'll probably deter us all more than just saying "not here! Not here!"

Treebeard came out pretty good but also used more parts (and stands taller) than Groot is likely to. So I dunno how well that'll translate, hopefully well.

The new ball joints from Mixels and the Chima Legend Beasts could make for a brick-built Groot that's poseable but still fairly slender.

That's what I'm hoping, even if the build on the sentinel doesn't look great the smaller ball joints really help cut down the bulk. I think they'll be great for Groot's stickly stature.

We don't know for sure (as far as I know) how exactly he's going to look in the film. MCU characters are sort of hit-or-miss on the "true to comic appearance" front. On one hand you've got Cap (at least when he actually wore the cowl bit in the First Avenger), on the other you have Hawkeye and Falcon that look nothing like their comic uniforms. They may've gone with a slightly different look for Ronan since they changed his background somewhat for the film.

Goes to local lego store in San Antonio and gives in to temptation( I was waiting for March to get Martian man hunter...). But screw it, got every single march and April set available!!! Woohoo!!! I went to see if they had the mini millennium falcon and checked the superheroes and found them!!

I think he wont be brick built like the Green Goblin big fig

Someone from a few pages back who saw the sets (and whose comments seem backed up by the picture we got ) said otherwise. So don't count on a bigfig groot.
