Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I think I'll still get this set for the classic Robin and Batman. Also you can never have enough Jokers I certainly will be getting this for Robin, so Dick, Tim, and Damian will all have their Robin suits. I've gotten enough Jokers, for sure. What are you supposed to do with so many Jokers? At least Batsuits can be put on display in a Batcave or Museum or something, but Joker? I've got nothing. Quote
gedren_y Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) I will be getting this set for those large pieces, and I might actually keep the 60's tv show looking Batman together for the nostalgia. I don't like the printing on the large back piece, but that is easily remedied. I may need to look at the other Juniors sets to see what type of part goes into the notches in the archway. I really like that floor piece printing. It will make for some good castle MOCing. I may have to get the Juniors police set too, for more of that part. I believe that there was a display of enemies' costumes in the batcave in the Batman Beyond tv series. I don't remember if Joker was represented, but the Riddler was. I remember that bowler hat. Masked Builder Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I love the minifigures in this set! Sure, it would have been cool if Cap had some boot leg printing, and that the enemy minifigures weren't showing their teeth, but they still rock. The build itself is... weird. I like the play-feature with the wheels moving up and down and the rotating "canon", but the design itself is so awkward. I do like Cap's motorcycle, though! How much olive green is there in the set? Rinzler Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 J2G - You're not alone, I like the 1990 Captain America!, also good review bro Quote
Sam892 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Comicbookmovie, have a high res picture of the Guardians set. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=94560 It looks great, Gamora looks cool and I'm loving Ronan's hood. Quote
Cammo Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 So to have the full theme we'll only need to buy 2 sets, that's a relief. (or BL of course.) Quote
Ultron Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) Comicbookmovie, have a high res picture of the Guardians set. http://www.comicbook...n/news/?a=94560 It looks great, Gamora looks cool and I'm loving Ronan's hood. I LOVE it!! And it looks like there are 5 figs in that set. Wow. I thought 4. Star lord kinda scares me though I like Gamora a lot more than I thought I did and Ronan just looks sweet. I love the new hood mold for him. I wonder who is piloting his ship though? Edit* It appears the fifth figure is an "alien sakaaran soldier" whatever that is! It looks like they're wearing a hood though. Edited February 14, 2014 by Luna Lovegood Quote
Lego-Dark-Knight0518 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 If you look closely, you can see blood splatters on Ronan's torso. Epic, but isn't it a little hardcore for LEGO to do that? Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 That set looks amazing in this higher quality. The description mentions a Sakaaran soldier. Does anyone know what this character is? Ronan the Accuser looks interesting, if not unusual. I am still disappointed that he doesn't match his comic book counterpart. Also, is that blood on his torso? That would certainly be surprising in a LEGO set. I'm glad that Star-Lord has a moulded helmet after all, even if it looks highly unusual. Gamora looks better than expected in close-detail. Drax looks interesting as well. The Milano ship is an amazing build, and Ronan's ship doesn't look too bad either. I'm impressed with LEGO on this. Here's hoping the other two sets match up to this. Quote
Mattah12 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Sakaar = The planet where Hulk was sent during the World War Hulk event a few years back I believe? If so, holy cow! Quote

Hrafnblod Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 If you look closely, you can see blood splatters on Ronan's torso. Epic, but isn't it a little hardcore for LEGO to do that? It might not necessarily be blood. I kind of doubt it would be, for Lego. Set looks really great though, Star-Lord looks a little better than in the blurry pic from before. Actually has a proper helmet, I just wish there'd been a little more texturing to the front of it. Still, he looks way better than I had thought he would. Gamora and Ronan look great too! Love Ronan's new hood. Quote
Ultron Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Sakaar = The planet where Hulk was sent during the World War Hulk event a few years back I believe? If so, holy cow! Apparently this planet also has active volcanoes so I'm wondering if this lava set is on Sakaar? Quote
Mattah12 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Apparently this planet also has active volcanoes so I'm wondering if this lava set is on Sakaar? Hmmmm, that's certainly food for thought. If I recall from the comics (Planet Hulk btw, not WWH that came after :P), the planet itself was unstable. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 This looks absolutely incredible!! I can't wait to see the others this weekend (Groot and Rocket! Woot!!). Quote
legofreak86 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Wow these look pretty cool! I am not familiar with these characters but I must say I love the look of them and I certainly will watch the upcoming trailer and the film with great interest. Marvel have yet to disappoint me in phase 2 so I'm interested to see this film go off into space rather than just the world being threatened. Quote
kevkipo Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 You can see Drax sitting behind Gamora :) Quote

Hrafnblod Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Thanks :D yeah he does! some tattoo's on his arms too! I noticed that, the printing on these figs is pretty great in general. Arm printing on Drax, looks like leg printing all around for everybody. Quote

LegoDad Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Knowing nothing about Guardians of the Galaxy, I would've told you that ship came from Chima. Looks like Eris' Hyperspace Eagle. Quote
