kevkipo Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 A bunch of pics of GotG toys have cropped up. Earlier in this thread someone described the 3 Lego sets as two being ships and one being a lava playset. http://f.cl.ly/items...Display-067.jpg http://f.cl.ly/items...Display-070.jpg So the question is whether 'Rocket Racoon's Warbird' or 'Nova Corps Starblaster' is the cheaper ship. Also, huge disappointment at the Sakaaran soldier [he's not a bug] http://f.cl.ly/items...Display-068.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vc5vKbo.jpg I hope for the Warbird :D a little ship for Rocket! How cute!!! Quote
Rinzler Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I know i'm late but I found an up-close image of Ronan Quote
DJ Bricks Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Now seeing the other Drax toys, LEGO Drax will.mostly likley be sand green. The smalest set could be either one Quote

deskp Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) that x-jet looks fat like the one from the animated series..... If only they had used those csotume designs aswell Edited February 16, 2014 by deskp Quote
strangely Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The X-men set impresses me, it even comes with hair for Magneto and Wolverine. The X-jet looks perfect too me, it perhaps could be sleeker, but otherwise it's great. The sentinel doesn't look to bad either, definitely better than the prelims made it look. Still waiting for close-ups of Storm and Cyclops. I'm still disappointed about Storm's generic hair, but I'm less disappointed than I had been previously. Hopefully the overall design of the minifigure is good enough for me to ignore a standard hair piece. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I am pleasantly surprised by the X-Jet. It looks nicer and much larger than I thought it would. While it looks great on the box, it does look a bit fat in the actual view, granted the angle of the picture isn't that good anyways). Maybe this means it'll fig a few figs inside? Still not a good view on the Sentinal, but it looks similar to the prelims for the most part anyways, so I'm not too happy with that. He's still to thin--it does look like he's got some short of arm shooting thing though. Quote
thewolverine Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 On this picture from the Toy fair you can see a new guardians of the galaxy set with 433 pieces (upper right corner) The picture is a little bit blurry but you can see Rocket Raccoon, Groot and 2 other figures. https://www.facebook.com/MarveliciousToys/photos/a.206333299396535.67910.164561336907065/782032941826565/?type=3&permPage=1 Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I do like the look of the X men set. The minifigures are excellent and the jet is a lot better than I thought it would be. I just hope that the jet has some interior space for all three minifigures. Quote
kevkipo Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 So we wont get any pictures on the Guardians?! Quote
thewolverine Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Marvel 2014 close up set pics! No GotG related stuff http://news.toyark.c...l-comics-114928 EDIT: On one pic you can see a new GOTG set! Edited February 16, 2014 by thewolverine Quote
just2good Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 Toy Ark has the Marvel pics up! And, you can blatantly see the midsized GotG set. Quote
kevkipo Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 If only we could see Rocket on the right corner clearly :( Quote
rosalind14 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Better one... http://news.toyark.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2014/02/Toy-Fair-2014-LEGO-Marvel-015.jpg Quote
deskp Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 eesh, shouldnt Groot be less dark? maybe they could of used nougat color or seomthing... Quote
Kerberos Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Love the box design! Storm, Cyclops, and Wolverine in the corner? Awesome! The set itself? Well, not completely sold on it. I'll have to wait 'til I see more pics later today. Also, that page says this... Looks like the cheapest set is going to be a Lego version of this then Hope the new Nova minifig looks cool at least. Legoman123 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Is Groot a bit too big, or is it just me? Edit: How many Guardians are their in the movie? (I don't know a lot about them) Edited February 16, 2014 by Legoman123 Quote
rosalind14 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Is Groot a bit too big, or is it just me? I don't know, I thought he looked about right to be honest. Quote
Spider-Man Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) From those Toy Ark photos (and the small bit you can see of the actual set) it's pretty clear that Groot is going to to be way out of scale compared to the other figs. I know that Groot can grow, but it would have been nice to have him in scale with the rest of the Guardians Edit: Looks like some of you guys are noticing this as well. Hopefully we will get better pictures later today! Edited February 16, 2014 by Spider-Man Quote
Kerberos Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) There looks to be a hatch on the back of the blackbird attached with clips so it can flip up. Considering how thick the jet is; I think you could probably fit 4 minifigs back there so long as the interior has room. Edited February 16, 2014 by Kerberos Quote
rosalind14 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) I'm not concerned by the height of Groot but the colours look all over the place for him...if you enlarge the picture, he looks like he has different colour arms to the rest of him. Edited February 16, 2014 by rosalind14 Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Groot looks huge... gonna guess that's the 'lava mission' set. Though the X-Men set looks neat, and Magneto has an optional hairpiece! -Sci Quote

I am modestly versed in the GOTG lore being a big fan of the graphic novels like The War of Kings and the Thanos Imperative but I can't remember a character called the Searcher. Do you think the website could have meant the Collector? And I am really hoping that the Nova Officer ends up being Rhomann Dey who will be played by John C. Reilly. That would be awesome! Quote
