B-Lister Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 @Murd- you're the boss. I apologize, for my part if I came off as a know-it-all. Not trying to sling mud, I just reacted when someone suggested that I 'probably used wikipedia', with regards to the topic. Quote
korpen4444 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I completely agree with you there. You're absolutely right when it comes to order. Jay Garrick was the first Flash and the Flash of the Golden Age. DC Comics revamped its comics for the Silver Age and Barry Allen became the Flash. Allen dies in Wolfman's Crisis on Infinite Earths and West takes over. I'm sure that @Suspsy was talking about Barry Allen replacing Wally West in Geoff Johns' Flash: Rebirth. He was resurrected in Final Crisis and took back his mantle. @Suspsy could've easily been talking about Barry Allen being the Flash in the New 52 as well. It doesn't really matter though because @Suspsy's comment was an opinion. He must like Wally West more than Barry Allen when he SAID: "As far as I'm concerned..." There's a lot of people that like Wally West more than Barry Allen because they grew up with him or like his goofy personality more. @korpen4444 - People are sharing their opinions on this forum. That's what this forum is all about. Unfortunately it's not about comics, it's about LEGO which @Suspsy was mentioning. He's going to consider his LEGO Flash minifig Wally West because he LIKES Wally West. I will consider my LEGO Flash minifig Barry Allen because I LIKE Barry Allen. We don't need to accuse people for not knowing their comics or tear them down for liking Marvel more than DC. Let's all be considerate and respectful human beings even though we do disagree with some things. There is one thing we can say we have in common though. We all like LEGO! Sorry if I came off as rude. I didn't mean to be. To be honest, I love Wally, (He was the first I was introduced to), but because I made a custom Kid Flash, I'm gonna use this Flash as Barry. Quote
Sam892 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) Has anyone spotted the juniors Batcave in the UK yet? I'm looking at getting one for the MM promo with the Steam roller. Edited February 28, 2014 by Sam892 Quote
B-Lister Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I think that info has a place as it applies to the sets, But when it becomes a matter of 'who's better than who', it needs to stop. Quote

B-Lister Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) Ouch. I wasn't trying to 'be the moderator'. I thought I was agreeing with you, and attempting to clarify what you said. if you want to be that way, why don't you spell it out for us and tell us 'you can do this' and 'you can't do that' instead of being vague with "The "know your comics" attitude has to stop from everyone." At what point does applying my knowledge of comics cross the line? If all I can talk about is part counts and such, the topic is gonna get mighty boring. Wardancer Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Groot would make a good Basis for dryads, something I have looked for for ages. Is it sure that be will be made? I Hope they dont Print any Hightech stuff on him. Quote
rosalind14 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Has anyone spotted the juniors Batcave in the UK yet? I'm looking at getting one for the MM promo with the Steam roller. Nope, haven't seen it at TRU, The Entertainer or the "local" Smyths....and definitely not in the Lego shop either. I want to know when the new Hulk based set is coming out because it's not yet advertised on the Lego website and I want to get it there so I can, like you, pick up the MM Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 = Is teasing you. You basically did repeat what I said in spirit. I think it was pretty clear what I put in quotation marks. In other news, my tax return came just in time for the Martian Manhunter promotion. I've been drooling over the Steamroller set for weeks now. Debating on whether to get it or a few of the smaller sets that are less likely to be discounted on Amazon. Quote
Suspsy Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 You're joking right? Wally replaced Barry who replaced Jay Garrick. Know your comics. I know my comics perfectly well, thanks. I was referring to Allen's return at the conclusion of Final Crisis. I wasn't keen on it at the time and I'm still. Try not to assume things, eh? Quote
Ultron Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Are we still debating who has the greatest knowledge of comics? Everyone calm down. Quote

It's an awesome set with cool minifigs and a fun build. I basically got it for the Damian Wayne/Robin minifig and the Jack Nicholson-ish Joker but the steamroller and batplane are cool vehicles and a lot of fun to play with. I saw a Joker funhouse set at my local TRU the other day and I'm debating whether to get it or not. I would have to throw in $60 instead of $50 to get it because TRU is ridiculous with pricing... I am a last minute guy, but I will be putting in an order next week to get J'onn. Been putting off that Smash Lab for just this deal. I highly recommend it. I just rebuilt my funhouse last night, and it's as much fun to play with as it is to build. I'd seriously regret not getting it. Quote
Rinzler Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) Since we're all talking Flash, I thought I'd break this to you. Imagine getting a minifig of this version: http://media.comicbook.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/gustinflash-8ce05.jpg Edited March 1, 2014 by LuxorV Quote
Lance Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Are the Avengers Assemble sets out tomorrow for Europe? I might get the Hydra Tank and the Riddler Chase to qualify for Martian Manhunter. If I placed the order a couple of minutes after the offer goes live, would I miss out on MM or would I get one? Quote
B-Lister Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Since we're all talking Flash, I thought I'd break this to you. Imagine getting a minifig of this version: Is that the new TV outfit? Looks really good. Quote
Lego dad Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I never really read comic books, that was my brother. So much of this conversation is lost on me. Are the lego junior sets out yet in the u.s.? Quote
B-Lister Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) Yes, I saw the Juniors sets at TRU. Gonna pick up the Batcave when finances allow, as I want the Robin. And that 70s style Batman. Edited February 28, 2014 by Mister Blisterfists Quote

B-Lister Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I really like what I see. Cannot wait to see it in actual light, and in full. And in motion, of course. Quote
Lego dad Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I was thinking of getting the juniors batcave for my nephew. I tend to avoid TRU unless looking for polybags. Target is where I usually go unless ordering online. Quote
B-Lister Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Have not seen them at Target yet. I avoid TRU for Lego unless they have a sale or an exclusive, I always browse though, which is how I discovered the Juniors in the first place. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Has anyone spotted the juniors Batcave in the UK yet? I'm looking at getting one for the MM promo with the Steam roller. I saw it in my local toyshop today as well as the new Marvel sets, I got the Hydra Tank and the Spidey trike. I love the tank, it's great and the figs are fantastic too. Quote
vriverajr3 Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 During the review Jason post reference pictures of martian manhunter, but of the wrong variant of him. Most of us know this figure is based off the new 52 version so before everyone rips their heads off here at eurobricks since i see people here hate them all the time(i have no problem with them) im posting this just so people can get a good look at him. hopefully everyone can keep their rude comments to their self and just comment on the figure :) i for one really like it and cant wait to get a hold of my own Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 I don't like Martian Manhunter's character in the New 52, but I find the J'onn Katar John Carter vibe that his costume has great. I can't wait to get that figure. Quote
