just2good Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Does the MM promotion apply in-store as well or is it just online? In store and online. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 In store and online. Good, good. I've also got a Pick-a-brick box sitting around and an eye on the Joker Steamroller. With some luck I can fell three birds with one stone. The perfect crime! Quote

Speaking of Catwoman, am I the only one bothered by the fact that she hasn't shown up again by now? I'm pretty sure that her, Lex, and Two-Face are the only wave 1 villains who haven't been reissued yet, and I'd actually like to get another Catwoman. Her parts are so useful for other people, plus she's a cool character who could use a neat new variant of some sort. Quote

Catwoman's first variation for this theme was good, but could use an update, the mask in particular I don't think has aged that well (I think a regular hairpiece in the future with goggles printed onto her face may be a nice alternative). I also think Poison Ivy could use an update. I didn't like the color scheme they used for the last one, not a good color balance to me (Plus really inconsistent printing for some reason). I would have rather had either of those two over this years Riddler, which wasn't really much of an improvement. Quote

I know Two-Face and Lex have barely been off the market- I just picked mine up a couple months ago. Give it a little time, if there's one thing sure in the world it's that Lego will give us more Batman sets. Quote

I didn't mention Ivy because she was in the Arkham set, but I would love to see an Ivy variant based on her Arkham City appearance. The green-on-red worked really well. Same with Catwoman, I'd prefer the Arkham-style pilots cap with goggles and cat ears. Has she even been retired that long? I could very well be wrong, though. Still, she is a pretty iconic Bat-villain, more so than Penguin. Edited March 4, 2014 by Numbuh1Nerd Quote

B-Lister Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) I can still find Lex if I put in some leg work, but Catwoman has been gone a while. And she isn't really a villain anymore. More of an Anti-Hero. Red Hood commits worse crimes than she does, and he's still in Bruce's confidence, if not an active member of the 'family'. Wish I knew why TLG keeps giving Riddler a crowbar, when that 'weapon' is more closely associated with The Joker? If it's supposed to represent his cane, it is a poor substitute, IMO. eldiano Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) I still wish they would give Wonder Woman her invisible jet as seen in the batman book, but honestly my local toys r us has a ton of the lex set easily but um, the riddler's crowbar does piss me off, it's red, not even painted yellow. Sam892, according to the laws of infinity anything's possible. Maybe this can get under Lego radar if need be. One can dream. " Congratulations on 5,000+ Supporters! 2014.02.26 Another great, no, HUGE Superheroes model! You've captured all of the essential details, starting with the Danger Room of course, but it doesn't stop there. Four whole floors of Professor Xavier's abode and institute to re-enact your favorite X-Men scenes with an assortment of characters. Like we said on your other project, Assault on Wayne Manor, While we're impressed by the model's detail and play features, and we're very much looking forward to reviewing it, know that models of this size are quite complex to produce. Once the project reaches 10,000 supporters and enters the review stage, our team will evaluate it and see it's feasible to maintain the essence of the model while ensuring it is cost effective as a LEGO CUUSOO set. Best wishes as you continue your journey to 10,000 supporters! I know it's a long shot but still, I am not expecting much... Edited March 4, 2014 by eldiano Quote

clutch Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 The thing with that Xmen CUUSOO is that it's huge. It's licensed and it's huge. I just really have a hard time imagining Lego making that since it wouldn't sell as much as the $40 ones. Quote
Moon_Knight Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Cuusoo already came out and said ideas based on existing licences won't happen. We may not have gotten the Cuusoo Sandcrawler but at least we're getting a Sandcrawler. What I'm trying to say is voting for the Cuusoo X-Mansion can't hurt. It most likely won't pass but at least it'll give TLG some ideas. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Well seeing how Lego unveiled the Ghostbusters set so short after it was approved by Cuusoo, I wonder just how long it would take them to design something X-Men related, like perhaps this Mansion, for next year. We have time, and reading that Cuusoo revew, the Lego design team is really starting to sound friendlier and more comfortable with their reviews. That said, a part of me actually thinks Lego wants this to happen. And anther part of me hopes they do too. Quote

halomaster96 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I just gave it to Joker in the hopes that we'll eventually get a Jason Todd for him to beat the life out of. And then he'll come back to life just to get revenge! Also, I just got two Martian Manhunters and its such a great figure. I got it with the steamroller set and Damian and Batgirl are also fantastic! Now I just need Red Robin and the aforementioned Jason Todd. Quote
halomaster96 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 They gave you two with a $50 set? Well, I also bought the Hulk lab, the Penguin set, two Utapau troopers bps and the Melting Room. Quote
wesker Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 We're definitely overdue for another Catwoman. I'm surprised how little we see of her considering how much of an iconic character she is. Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I missed out on getting Catwoman the first time around, so I would most definitely welcome her into a new set for 2015. Quote

Legoman123 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Cuusoo would dismiss it then? How come they are giving him proper comments? They have to review the set, but they don't have to pass it, and they most likely won't pass it. Quote
eldiano Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 It's like Cusoo says that their sets have to be reviewed by the Lego group like a regular playset, I am sure once it gets to that stage I am sure they can get some ideas on what they should release I think. I wish Superheroes was like star wars and release like a gazillion sets every chance they get, I am a mediocre fan but man I can't even keep up with the amount of sets and random vehicles they release.
