Im a brickmaster. Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 It's not your responsibility to halt conversations. Please refrain from doing so. And let's not have this type of behavior, either, thank you. Sorry bro, just got tired of seeing three pages of Mohawk related posts! Wont happen again! Quote
Legofan1994 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Ikr! I'm not trying to be rude or anything but if we don't get the mohawk it is alright at leaste we'll be getting storm Quote
Hrafnblod Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Well, that is D-U-M-B. It is what it is. I sort of suspect we'll see a Winter Soldier eventually. The Dark World didn't get sets either; I suspect the Iron Man 3 sets didn't do as well as hoped, plus it's easy for movie tie-in sets to fall out of the public's attention as the movie does. The cartoon-based sets don't suffer from that issue as much. I don't mind it too much since this year's sets would suggest we can expect more varied characters from cartoon-based sets (Spider-man excepted) than from movie ones. Iron Man 3 had a lot of, well, Iron Man. Plus several Trevors. Conversely, this wave has given us some more obscure villains like MODOK and Taskmaster, plus a Hydra soldier and a comic-styled Falcon. All things considered I'm still pretty satisfied with that, and maybe giving movie sets to things like GotG that are less likely to get any sort of appearance otherwise. Sorry bro, just got tired of seeing three pages of Mohawk related posts! Wont happen again! That's more or less how this thread goes. We just switch between tangents that go on for a few pages, then move to another. I see a lot of complaints about it but, on the other hand, at least this topic consistently yields discussion. A lot of others don't! Quote

Even just one $20 set would've been nice for thor...With Malekith and a dark elf against thor. Quote

It would've been, but in all fairness, the Marvel/DC ratio is already pretty crazily unbalanced this year. I can deal with missing TDW and TWS sets as long as we see Ant-man next year, personally. They are two of my favourite characters and even if they aren't in the avengers film they are part of the original lineup Quote

Dadster Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Hey thanks for the heads-up aboout the reviews of the Spidey set a page or 2 back... I love the fact that we are getting Cyke and Storm in ANY incarnation! And Browny Wolvey is cool as well. My fav costume of his... Quote

They are two of my favourite characters and even if they aren't in the avengers film they are part of the original lineup I suspect we'll get at least Ant-man next year when his film comes along since it's a new "franchise," unlike the Cap/Thor sequels whose main characters have been covered by the Avengers sets (and others) other than Malekith/Winter Soldier. Dunno if Wasp is gonna be in the movie though I dunno how they could do Ant-man without Wasp. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 I'm pretty disappointed that Thor 2 didn't get a set, although it didn't really lend itself to toys very well (everything was either very big or very barren). However, I'm even more disappointed by the lack of Winter Soldier sets, mostly because I love Captain America. I'm certainly hoping we get the Winter Soldier somehow soon, given he's extremely easy to make without new parts. I suspect we'll get at least Ant-man next year when his film comes along since it's a new "franchise," unlike the Cap/Thor sequels whose main characters have been covered by the Avengers sets (and others) other than Malekith/Winter Soldier. Dunno if Wasp is gonna be in the movie though I dunno how they could do Ant-man without Wasp. It is going to to be a different Ant-Man, though. It's hard for Hank Pym to be without Wasp, given she's sort of his motivator to be a hero and not just a scientist, but as for Scott Lang? He could go either way. However I too will be very disappointed if we don't see a Wasp figure at some point in the near future. Quote
Suspsy Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Got my Hulk Lab Smash and Martian Manhunter today! My Pick-A-Brick order should be arriving later this month. Really loving MM, especially his unique shade of green. But for Pete's sake, Lego, give us a retail Green Lantern already! Pack him in with say, the Bat-Mech or the Bat-Tank or even the Bat-Sub! On that note, what kind of ring-generated accessory would be good for GL? A giant handheld cannon? Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) I think a a green chain gun or a big green hammer would be cool! Maybe a LOTR ring in dark green for him to wield? You know you spelt ignored wrong in your signature, right? What you talkin' bout? Edited March 7, 2014 by Im a brickmaster. Quote
B-Lister Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Anything in trans green is a good thing, but some large construct in trans green would be sweet. Quote

TheBatstan Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Not sure if these are the only 2 reviews but Artifex posted his "reviews" of the Spider Man polybag and the mini Batwing Quote
Suspsy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Which brings up my next question: how expensive are translucent parts compared to regular ones? Quote
korpen4444 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Which brings up my next question: how expensive are translucent parts compared to regular ones? Depends on the part. Studs, round bricks, sliders, and slopes probably not much, minifig parts, possibly a lot. Quote
tafkatb Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 what kind of ring-generated accessory would be good for GL? One of these. Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Which brings up my next question: how expensive are translucent parts compared to regular ones? I don't know how much they cost compared to regular parts, but transparent parts are not made out of ABS. I think they are made out of polycarbonate instead, but I'm not sure. Anyway, that would mean that there would be a different molding machine for making trans red studs than solid blue ones. With that in mind, it would cost a lot to start producing a bunch of elements (old or new) in transparent colors for the first time, since it would need a new moulding machine, and those cost money and factory space. They seem to be doing quite a few new parts in trans light blue though in Hero Factory, Chima, and Ultra Agents, so maybe some green could pop up with GL? I don't think that GL will have anything extraordinaire, though. I would be happy with this Chima shield (or something like it) and a melee weapon of some sort, but... One of these. ...something like that would be amazing. Quote
Samiens Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Not what i would want but trans-green flick missile perhaps... Quote
Batsy Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Sorry if this has been asked before, but on what is the 76012 Batmobile based on? Quote
