I disagree. This is a show that is coming soon and will/should spawn many rumors/hopes of seeing some minifigs from it...it's the most on-topic this thread has been for awhile now, imo.

Anyone hear what villians might appear on the show? Personally, I don't think we would ever see minifigs ors sets from Arrow or Flash. Arrow (and I am assuming Flash will follow suit, which could very well be wrong on my part) is violent and a bit sexualized. TLG group usually likes things to be a little less...adult. If I wrong, however, it would make me a happy man.

I apreciate that it can spawn rumours and I don't have a problem with that!! But almost two full pages of stuff that has nothing to do with the LEGO at all just gets annoying. I'm not asking to stop just limit and think 'is this relevent to this forum?' before posting.

Also ordered the hydra tank and will be here tomorrow. Can't wait to build that thing!

Yeah, I hear ya...just don't mind a little wandering. :)

Also, you will love the Hydra set. The $20 sets are usually pretty good and the Hydra tank is my favorite yet from that price point.

Possible Killer Frost in the show? Ew no, she's a Firestorm villain, please let that be.

Also, does anyone know how I could find the number to my local Lego store? I plan on going Saturday and want to know just how many (if any) Martian ManHunters are left.

You can find all store info at stores.lego.com. (Or also at Google.)

I don't mind Killer Frost showing up. Deathstroke is traditionally a Teen Titans villain, but I love seeing him get more exposure as he is literally my favorite villain.

As do I. The more figures, the better.

I mean, all we get is Batman villians really. I wouldn't mind as much if they weren't just repeat villians from 2006-2008. :sceptic: Edited by Legoman123

Considering the high demand the figures from the 2006-2008 series had, it's no wonder why LEGO would redo them first. It's most likely to give people a chance to own characters that they previously couldn't afford.

What are your thoughts on the new soon-to-be-released X-Men set? I think it is one of the worst I have seen in terms of price/pieces ratio ($49.99 for 330ish bricks), but is one of the best I have seen in terms of action and cool minifigures. Think it's worth it?

Swifty, please stop mini-modding. I know my activity has been sporadic today, just report things if they bother you.

I appreciate the talk of the shows and what we might expect Lego-wise from their content. Let's just not wander too far. I don't think anyone really has.

The whole 10cents per piece ratio doesn't really apply practically to sets these days. Sure the new X-men set has fewer pieces than one would hope for, but some of those pieces are pretty large. Most of the jet is made of large plates or wedges, plus a new mold, new cape design and parts in new colours ( storms hair in white ). All of these added together kind of make it worth while, especially when you look at the X-men themselves.

Storm is pretty awesome. Who knows when we'll see her agin? I say yes just because of her honestly. The jet isn't that bad either, just not ideal.

Given Arrow is constantly ripping off elements of the Batman universe and especially the Nolan movies, I'm wondering what they'll do with Flash. Maybe he'll be a constant rip-off of Man of Steel? Get all of Superman's baddies after they run through about 4 of his many good ones? Don't get me wrong, I love Arrow, but they really need to make a Green Arrow show and not just a budgeted Batman show.

Flash has recognisable villains, like Reverse Flash, Grodd and the Rogues... Arrow has Merlyn and... maybe Vertigo... I like Jeff Lemire's Komodo in the New 52, but there isn't much. So ofcourse he needs to borrow Teen Titans and C-Grade Bats villains. I'd love to see Arrow use Riddler to be honest as he appeared in Kevin Smith and Judd Winick's run and we haven't seen him live action since 95.

I would really love a Cpt. Boomerang. Seems easily doable since his Lego videogame appearance looked good enough.

BTW, I know this isn't the ideal topic to post this but creating a new thread for one nice brickmotion video wouldn't be a better choice:

"Talk of the show" belongs in the multimedia section where other shows are being talked about, and "what we might expect" belongs in the future sets topic. why this is being said by me, and not by mods is beyond me.

i don't think swiftly was in the wrong at all. At least someone was trying to get this thread back on topic. i know for a fact I'm not the only one frustrated seeing this thread constantly going off topic about things that clearly belong somewhere else. I can easily pull 10+ comments from the last couple of pages that don't belong here and should be elsewhere and a mod said nothing. Instead of mods focusing on members like Swifty kindly trying to get people back on topic, they should be focused on the people clearly going off of it.

I'm not trying to come off disrespectful or rude but as a member i feel i have a right to ask for better moderating. Somethings obviously not right, because if it was, then there wouldn't have been a topic recently about to split this thread up into two.

Oh good Grodd get over it. Let people discuss what they want.

A moderator already chimed in for what the "official" view of the talk was.

I'm not sure what the "as a member I feel I have a right to ask for better moderating" means. If a moderator doesn't agree with you that doesn't mean that they are wrong. They are not your employees. They work (VOLUNTEER) for the betterment of the community.

Just something to keep in mind :)

I picked up the Steamroller set at the weekend and absolutely love and hate it. The steamroller itself is great, I'm not a huge fan of the smile on the front but everything thing else is perfect. As is the Minifigs, Damian, Batgirl, Joker and the henchman are awesome.

The only problem I have is the plane which is awful, at best it's some more black bricks. The mechanism it uses is impressive, but it's such a waste. I can't help but feel maybe they should have included a Bike or something instead.

Dude, do you WANT to get banned? I'm personally glad this forum is more lenient with this stuff than the SW forum.(But Brickdoctor does his job well. :classic:)

I never really got into Arrow, so I don't know a lot about the show. But if we get Flash sets, I'd like Captains Boomerang and Cold, Mirror Master and Weather Wizard first.

If you'd like to have a discussion about my abilities as a moderator, please contact me privately.

I will say publicly that this is a no-win scenario. I tell people to remain on topic, people accuse me of stifling conversation. I let conversation go, I get accused of not doing my job. I thought I was finding middle ground. If anyone doesn't feel that way, we have a report button and we have a PM system. Use them.
