Something like this would be perfect, though they would obviously use a different helmet and less detailed printing overall. Even so, if LEGO made a Deathstroke minifigure that was even close to that in terms of quality and accuracy I would be very satisfied.

I would expect the helmet to be a bit more 'fitted' though.

But they couldn't reuse the IM helmet

I don't see why they couldn't. It's a LEGO piece; that would be like saying that they couldn't reuse and recolor the Captain America shield mold for an Amazonian Wonder Woman figure.

The Iron man helmet is extremely different from the Shield piece. The Shield piece doesn't have any characteristics that tie it to one character, it's just a round shield the has printing on it.

However Iron mans helmet is basically Marvel IP it's design, contures and features are all based around Marvel property. It's essentially the same as Darth Vaders Helmet or Batman's cowl they are tied to a specific character and can't be used else where. The Shield is different as without printing it's not linked to a certain character, but as the iron man helmet has been molded in that shape it will always be Iron man.

Even if we did get Deathstroke, I doubt we'd get any kind of helmet at all.

Take this image for instance. Deathstroke's helmet isn't exactly thick and bears no resemblance to the Iron Man helmet from the movies at all (though oddly enough it looked fine on the custom figure). Based on what TLG have done with other characters, I would expect a Deathstroke figure to merely have a printed face. Naturally, this would be disappointing, but if we ended up getting that I'd accept it. After all, it couldn't look too bad. Not only that, but when would we get another Deathstroke anyway? I don't even think the odds of us getting one at all are very high, but I do hope it happens.

Hoping for a Deathstroke with a helmet is just wishful thinking . Lego would definitely print his headpiece just like the did with Deadpool. There's no way they'd give him a new mask mold when they could easily print it.

The Christo Deathstroke was basically the Arrow appearance and I think that figure looked great. I don't think he needs a helmet as I think it's more of a hood (similar to Deadpool)

Because that's the uniform he switched back to. He's been wearing that for years now.

He's wearing an old uniform already, so what's the difference?

He's actually wearing this now

Which is honestly one of the finest super hero costumes I've see in a long time. That alone made me buy the first few issues of the new Marvel NOW series.

I'm happy with any costume in lego form really, but I do wish there was a way to have made his visor and accessory rather than just flat printed. But whatever, I'm happy enough with it.

No. He's been wearing something SIMILAR (up until AVX, at least), but still different. He hasn't worn the outfit on the minifigure since the 80s.

That was my original argument, too, and why I wouldn't even want an official Deathstroke personally. They won't print all the way around the side of his head to make it truly half-and-half, which means it would look pretty terrible, but on the other hand there's no way they'll make a headpiece if there's even the flimsiest excuse not to.

That they do. They could have at least given Red Skull a classic police hat in black.

Though your cyborg example is a strange choice as he only appeared in a game/movie and we know Flash changed a bit between the game and the actual figure.

I gave him a tan parka cap from an IJ set.

I wouldn't want a helmet for Deathstroke. A printed head would work for me.

I feel the same way. It seems in most of Deathstroke's recent appearances it's more of a helmet, but I think it'd look better as a printed head. My main fear of Deathstroke using a unique helmet mold like Iron Man's is him suffering from the bobblehead look. It doesn't look as bad on Iron Man in person, but it's still very large.

Just watched the Marvel: Assembling a Universe behind the scenes special and they showed concept art for a hulkbuster Iron Man vs Hulk scene! Here's hoping Avengers2 gets us a hulk buster from lego :sweet:

edit* lol guess I should've refreshed before posting

Just because there's art of a scene does not guarantee said scene, but I hope it does happen.

Wasn't just art; they showed bits being filmed on the streets in south Africa. They had a giant Iron Man hand on a stick for reference.

Cool!

Y'know, MY favorite scene from Avengers was when Cap saved that family.

Oh, you don't remember that scene? They filmed it. Then DELETED it.

Not saying that's the case here, but it happens all the time. I hope the scene makes it in, but it might not.

Um; do you feel a need to aggressively attack the hulk buster for some reason? Annoyed that this thread isn't dedicated to fawning over tv flash despite the fact Lego's never going to make a set based on the CW series?

Seriously dude; how about you let us have some fun instead of trying to be the biggest wet blanket in the world. Besides, There's a very low chance of hulk buster getting cut. That's going to be one of the big action scenes and it's gonna sell a lot of merchandise and people have been waiting for that scene since Iron Man 1.
