No. There's been no rumor of a D2C coming this year specifically. We do have a rumor for a UCS Tumbler D2C, but for all we know that can come next year.

Hopefully it doesn't come at all, It's such a waste of a set. Plus do we really need a model based around a batmobile that last appeared in 2008 (TDKR did have a black tumble). It really is the worst concept for a UCS ever.

I would like a UCS Tumbler. As long as it included missile shooting cockpit and the batpod. I think that would be a cool set.

I also think it's a huge waste. It adds nothing to the theme. No one needs a giant tumbler their batman can't even fit in. Then again, I just hate UCS sets in general.

In order to sort of gauge what type of sets we may get next year... does anyone know how well the Spider-Man sets are doing for LEGO? I believe one of the Toy Fair reports basically said it was the Marvel line's equivalent of the Batman sets (as the type of sets released this year have proven...) but I've been receiving conflicting information about it and the Marvel line's success in general.

Well near me the electro set sold like hotcakes. It was really hard to find. Sold out at my target and the lego store. Of course that's just one set but I think the marvel sets are selling pretty good. That's what I've heard at least. So I guess? I'm sure they'll pick up as Cap 2 and the new Spiderman movie come out.

I hope in future sets, especially Age of Ultron, they fix the Hulk's hair. The hair is perfect for the comic book Hulk but needs to be shorter for the MCU Hulk.

Fingers crossed the Spider-Unicycle is up next.

To hell with that! Gimme a Spider-Pennyfarthing!

I say we get in 2016 along with cap 3

Another way we could get deathstroke post-118326-0-09744100-1395253818_thumb.jpg

Where the hell did you find that beast?

People seem to foget that the blue version of Electro is the main villain of a really hyped movie.

I ask what kid wouldnt want. The main hero and villian of that movie?

And with Green Lantern, what if he was supposed to be in a 2014. But got sideline to 2015

This. The only way I won't be irked that they're making a UCS Tumbler before a Marvel D2C will be if there are play features.

Yeah, I had that thought too. I don't like the implications (unrelated to LEGO) that come with it though, but this isn't the place for that conversation....

I'd be disappointed if we got an UCS Tumbler at this stage; for one, it would be entirely out of scale with any other model released in this line, and would just generally be pointless. Not only that, but if we got another D2C set from DC I would be pretty frustrated, seeing as Marvel has yet to see a D2C set yet. And quite frankly, a Marvel D2C would be able to add more new content to the line than an UCS Tumbler ever could.

Agreed. Would love something for the fans. The Tumbler is yesterday's news. I'd rather have the Arkham Knight batmobile.

Makes sense. A set for a video game that hasn't come out yet.

I agree with the Marvel D2C set. I would love to see an X-Mansion or a Tony Stark lab with some of the many armors he made over another DC D2C set. We got an Arkham Asylum and it was awesome. Let's give Marvel a turn now.

I still wouldn't mind a Tumbler though because I don't believe that LEGO has quite pulled off the superb model yet. We see great Cuusoo Tumblers all the time so we know it's possible. LEGO needs to step it up. The 2008 Tumbler was okay but the 2013 Tumbler was just ridiculous.

2 words HELICARRIER! Its about time we get a marvel d2c exclusive and one could really do the helicarrier justice! maybe they could make it a winter soldier set and include some awaited favourites and a villain or two maybe. Maybe Winter Soldier and abomination. Finally we could get MCU Fury, Agent Coulson, Maria Hill, Maybe Steve rogers with a shield, Bruce Banner, hulk, falcon MCU, Black widow (WS version). OR maybe we may get the helicarrier next year for Avengers 2 and the enemies could be Strucker and Ultron. I reckon we could get a non exclusive stark tower (dubbed avengers tower in the first one's ending) but I could see a summer D2C set or winter one of the helicarrier to tie into avengers 2.

Well if we do get a Marvel D2C, it will likely be based off of something in which multiple heroes and villains can be justifiably in the set, as was the case with Arkham Asylum. Based on that, something like the X-Mansion would work very well. My knowledge of X-Men is still rather basic, but I know there are many different heroes and villains involved in the franchise. They could have the likes of Iceman, Jean Grey, Beast and others for heroes and have Juggernaut, Sabretooth, Mystique and others for the villains. Hopefully if the Cuusoo project reaches 10,000 votes, though it would most likely be rejected, LEGO will realise that there is popular demand for X-Men making such a set viable. Of course, I would love something like a Tony Stark lab with numerous suits from Iron Man 3 or a set with Winter Soldier, but at the end of the day it depends on what TLG consider viable.

So I bit the bullet today and got the Spider-Trile vs Electro set. The vehicle really is as lame as everyone else says it is. Spidey's hover bike at least has the benefit of flight, but this thing is just plain useless. Ugly too. I'll probably give it away to a friend's kid.

I really like Electro though.

I agree, the vehicle is extremely subpar, though I think that Electro makes up for it. I have to say, I love the electric platform that's included.

The real breakout of this wave has to be Hulk Lab Smash. The play features are integrated well into the structure and the minifigures (especially MODOK) are fantastic. Also, the fact that we're even getting an AIM lab is a good sign for the future of this theme.

Oh yes, Lab Smash is great. Love MODOK, Taskmaster, and Falcon. I do wish the holding cell had been better designed though. Those huge gaps in the floor and the ceiling make escape a snap.

I agree completely. I mean it's not even technically a trike, they really missed on this one. The thing that baffles me the most is that they keep on making all these silly spider vehicles and yet they haven't managed to make one of the few spider vehicles featured in the comics (It's the only vehicle I recall him having, but I might have overlooked another). I mean the spider buggy at least exists. Instead we get hover bikes, one seat cars, helicopters and "trikes." It absolutely drives me crazy that the spider buggy is in the game but isn't in a set and out of all the spider vehicles featured it's the only one that actually looks good to begin with. If they want to give me spider vehicles I can deal with that, but they at least better be good looking in design or at least a halfway decent attempt at adapting something from the comics.

Electro flipping over a taxi probably would have been better. The Green Goblin attacking a normally colored Shield helicopter would have been great. The Doc Ock set is pretty much how I prefer my Spider-man sets to be, normal or comic based vehicle, classic villain, one civilian and one Spidey. It's not a hard model to follow and yet this theme manages to go in so many wrong directions.

Any word on whether they are going to make a Lego marvel superheroes movie based on the game like they did with batman as I don't have a console and my PC is already overstuffed to accommodate the game. The Blu Ray of Lego Batman The Movie I really liked as I had already played the game and the movie I enjoyed equally. Hopefully if they did one they would include an exclusive figure, maybe stan lee!

Here's my thoughts on the Spider trike set. Just buy it, it's only ten whole dollars out of wallet, it comes with a very nice minifigure (Elctro), lots of handy lightning-y pieces and a spider man you can use to customize. Not so bad when you look at it that way huh?:tongue:

Er, yeah, it makes quite a lot of sense, actually.

Like how we got Avengers sets - sets for a movie that wasn't even out at the time.

And how we got PotC 4 sets before the movie was out.

And how we got Star Wars PT sets before the movies were out.

And how we got Man of Steel sets before the movie was out.

And how we got The Lego Movie sets before the movie was out.

Lego release these kinds of sets to promote something for the licensers. Releasing an Arkham Knight Batmobile is extremely sensible - the game series is a big deal, the Batmobile is going to be a key part of the game, so yeah - it's not out yet (obviously) but releasing a set alongside the game certainly does 'make sense'.

Haven't heard anything about that yet. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they did, though I'm sure it depends greatly on what Marvel wants. However I feel like the story has too much going on to fit into the time frame of a DTV movie. Stan Lee would be a great exclusive. Green Goblin too (Though I'd prefer a set for him).

I wish I could look at it that way. Unfortunately all I see is $12.99 plus tax solely for an Electro minifigure. As much as I want Electro I'm not ready to spend the money yet. I'll wait until a sale.
