I noticed in the "Maximum Overload" webisodes Thor had the helmet... And just about every other fig was spot on to an actual released fig. That, plus the inclusion of so many existing set pieces, such as Nick Fury's green car from the Spidey set, makes me wonder how close Thor's helmet came to actual production in the Hulk Lab set. I'm betting there was some late quality control issue that forced them to go with the blond hair at the last minute...

An excellent point montyofmusic. The Marvel vs. DC argument has been done to death on many forums unrelated to Lego. I personally think the fact that the xmen set involves three main DOFP characters and the sentinel certainly shows they are partially trying to make up for the fact that we have no movie tie in sets apart from GOTG. Like including electro similar to ASM2 and the choices of goblin in the USM set who is (coincidentally or not) in ASM2, and falcon who is appearing in Cap 2 and cap himself. Out of 6 avengers in the TV show they pick cap who is the main character of a new movie. In a way they have endeavoured to tie non movie sets to the movies. The only thing missing is winter soldier. In a way dc have also done this before in 2012 putting Bane and catwoman in the DC sets and even making a bat bike in the funhouse akin to the bat pod both of these events tie into TDKR. It just shows that lego certainly try to tie sets to movie even if it is just adding a character/s or a vehicle design. Interesting thought.

Okay, no movie discussion here unless it's relevant to the sets. And even then, do not post spoilers in this thread. I, for one, intentionally avoid reading the Culture and Multimedia threads so as not to see spoilers. If they cross over into these threads, I'll take action. I'm removing all the posts that had to do with that now. So everyone can move on.

To repeat, in case someone is just skimming the thread: DO NOT POST SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD.

Regarding the trailer, there is enough time in between when that blade would stab her and when they cut off the footage for some fakeout bs to occur, so don't consider that a spoiler in the slightest.

Quicksilver actually looks quite good, much better than I expected. I can't wait to see our fig of him. My guess: ruffled common hair in grey and a printed torso. The way the sleeves mesh into the hands makes it a little hard to say what LEGO will do with that. Scarlet Witch'll be pretty neat to have, especially for those more interested in some casual clothes with either female details or fleshy bits. From what I've heard she and her brother will be getting more professional crime-fighting gear later on, so maybe we'll see a fig of that, too? It still bugs me that we haven't seen any of the Vision yet. Hopefully that'll come soon.

Any sign of any more images of the GOTG sets? Like I know we've seen the Milano and the one with nebula but any sign of pictures of the other one. I'd personally like to see what guns star lord has and what the characters all look like in better quality. When do you guys reckon we will get official pictures?

We had the preliminary picture of the first one leaked in February...

Marvel announced they're doing a big Spidey-event featuring "Every Spider-Man EVER". Guess we're not out of the Spider-woods yet, but maybe with this massive surge of Spider-Man variant costumes in the comics we could see some of that bleed into the sets?

Or, knock on wood, the god-forsaken SDCC exclusive, which seems to be a little closer to comics.

Or what if they bring back the Spider Man 1 and 2 Spidey's, IMO the best Spider Man minifigs (aside from the SDCC one of course). They could do what The Lego Movie sets did to Johnny Thunder and just update his printing slightly.

Oh it's just that i am new and i don't know but i'll try to check the forum :)

Jeez, is it really that hard to check the bloody forums before you post? It's not like it's lost in the depths of the licenced forums. 1st page, 2nd max. I'm assuming your eyes still serve you adequately? Use them.

I get more excited for the movie and these sets every time I see them. I'm predicting that Guardians will be the best Marvel movie of the MCU. It looks amazing!

I don't know about the best, but it'll certainly be the most important. The success of this movie will determine whether or not big-name superheroes are required for a movie like this to work. If this is a success, prepare for Canterbury Cricket and Squirrel Girl. If it fails, nothing but Iron Man, Avengers, and Batman until the day we die.

I'd honestly love a squirrel girl movie. It'd just be hilarious.

I still think it'll be the best. Obviously just an opinion though.

I know right? I can top it, though: Arm-Fall-Off Boy. Can we get Nolan on that one? XD

Hahaha! Nice.

I think it'll be pretty awesome, but I'd rather not count my Storms before they're stabbed  This'll probably contain the most squeal-worthy nerdy treats of them all, though.

Not exactly big news but here are the 4 figs from the DC Duplo line

http://www.brickheroes.com/2014/03/duplo-super-heroes-batman-catwoman-superman-joker/

Is it bad to say that i think that the Duplo Catwoman fig looks better than the minifig (especially on the mask area)?

I quite like these figures, although the biggest crime that Joker will be comiting is talking in a library. Anyone who thinks the regular theme is to kid friendly needs to see these.
