Moon_Knight Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 What???? Quicksilver is wearing running shoes?? That doesn't make any sense... We're definitely going to be seeing some Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver minifigs. I wonder if they'll do the fabric skirt for Scarlet Witch or use printing like they did for the new Ben Kenobi. Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) Jeez, is it really that hard to check the bloody forums before you post? It's not like it's lost in the depths of the licenced forums. 1st page, 2nd max. I'm assuming your eyes still serve you adequately? Use them. I'm assuming you want to remain a member here, Brigante? Don't act like this again. Treat others with respect. Heck, even indifference would be better. If this kind of behavior keeps happening (from anyone), I may have to close this thread for a while. I don't want to do that, and you people don't want me to do that. Play nice. Edited March 25, 2014 by CorneliusMurdock Quote
B-Lister Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I know right? I can top it, though: Arm-Fall-Off Boy. Can we get Nolan on that one? XD Gimme Dogwelder and the Defenestrator......and BUENO.......EXCELENTE! Quote
Colossus Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I noticed in the "Maximum Overload" webisodes Thor had the helmet... And just about every other fig was spot on to an actual released fig. That, plus the inclusion of so many existing set pieces, such as Nick Fury's green car from the Spidey set, makes me wonder how close Thor's helmet came to actual production in the Hulk Lab set. I'm betting there was some late quality control issue that forced them to go with the blond hair at the last minute... I noticed this as well. It's probably either a QC issue or a $ issue. My $$ is on $$ being the issue. Superhero minifigs get the shaft compared to all the other licenses. No new headgear (Storm's tiara with new hair would have been nice. CLASSIC Thor would have been stellar with his CLASSIC helmet). Meanwhile, LOTR, Star Wars, you name it. All other licenses' minifigs are dressed/printed to the nines and get whatever accessory is expected for the character. I bought the Hulk Lab Smash set for my son, but anymore, I'm tired of waiting months for half-assed minifigs of my favourite Marvel and DC characters. Make mine (custom) Marvel! I don't know about the best, but it'll certainly be the most important. The success of this movie will determine whether or not big-name superheroes are required for a movie like this to work. If this is a success, prepare for Canterbury Cricket and Squirrel Girl. If it fails, nothing but Iron Man, Avengers, and Batman until the day we die. Batman? MCU vs. DCCU is like comparing apples to oranges. If GOTG slumps, then I think Marvel would recover by dialing back the B- and C-list characters. Whereas Warner Bros. would bring everything in the DCCU to a grinding halt unfortunately. Quote
legofreak86 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Thanks for the prelims just2good! I must've missed that! Great to see star lord even in prelims has those specially moulded guns from the movie Another sign Lego are really trying to nail accuracy in the movie sets this year! I mean Ronan's hood, those guns star lord's helmet and what looks like from to fair a possible new hairpiece for star lord. I'm impressed! Quote
strangely Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I wonder if they'll do the fabric skirt for Scarlet Witch or use printing like they did for the new Ben Kenobi. I'd say printed, it seems to be the standard anymore for skirts. Plus I think the fabric styled skirts generally end up being less than great most of the time, I mean Lego never truly perfected their fabric method. It'll be nice to have some more casual looking clothing for my minifigures, it's pretty rare we get any versatile casual clothing. I hope they make a new hairpiece for Quicksilver though, I'm a little tired of the repeated hairpieces we see in this line. It wouldn't hurt to diversify. Quote
Colossus Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I hope the superhero minifigs start getting some leg printing. They look incomplete next to my other licensed minifigs. And, after seeing the CMF pretzel girl with the skirt, all it seems to do is inhibit the minifigs range of motion, and it doesn't look all that great either. I'd prefer Lego goes with the printed skirt from now on. Quote
iamste Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 speaking of Quicksilver, i heard a rumour that he'll have a very subtle motion blur throughout his entire time on the movie, which sounds awesome. Quote

Rinzler Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Not exactly big news but here are the 4 figs from the DC Duplo line http://www.brickhero...superman-joker/ Is it bad to say that i think that the Duplo Catwoman fig looks better than the minifig (especially on the mask area)? Who else thinks The Joker figure could double up as Ronald Mcdonald? Quote

Bobskink Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 The Duplo Catwoman and Joker are cute, but I really don't like the Batman, A little disapointed, I was looking forward to this, even if it ruined my Cuusoo plans, I will only buy the Catwoman. Quote

Robianco Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Wouldn't the helmet from the Valkyrie Opera Singer work with 2 batwing helmet accessories work for now? Quote

Oh no, this'll step out of brand names and justify the future of superhero movies as a whole. Nobody thought a big superhero team-up film could work until Marvel did it, and now they're ALL doing it, for better or worse. If Marvel pulls off an obscure character, let alone 5, to be a success, the other companies will fall in suit and it won't be long before we see more obscure characters making it into movies or even into their own movies. That DUPLO Batman is pretty weird. Joker looks a little too friendly for a villain. Meh. Luckily I wasn't going to buy those anyway. Quote

Repeter Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I just saw the images of the Simpson's CMF line and got so jealous, my complexion turned a sickly green hue. LEGOdisneyDCmarvel need to figure out why they want to keep missing the boat on what would easily be the greatest CMF lines of all time. Quote
iamste Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 perhaps they're testing the water with the simpsons first? If that goes well they'll hopefully consider it. Quote
JaseTJ Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 I'm annoyed at the detail of printing and the amount of new molds they get... Hopefully that's a good sign, though, if we do get a Supers CMF. Quote

That is on my top five wants from Lego. I would love to get a CMF line for DC. Imagine, 16 figures all with accessories. But who would your 16 be? Quote
