I'm glad we finally get to see the interior of the X-jet, amazingly Marvel vehicles always end up being more spacious than I expect. Though I still wish Storm's hair was different. Oddly the lack of tiara doesn't bother me now, but the fact that it's an overused hairpiece does sort of bother me, but it doesn't look bad. Overall a good summer wave.

I don't mind that hairpiece on Storm since it works well with the cape, but I agree it is starting to get overused in the Superheroes line. Would be nice to have a bit more variety with future heroines.

That Nova Corps helmet would be a great helmet for Robocop.

I like the spaceships. And nice to see that there will be another new tail piece. I hope the movie will be doing well and the lego sets too!

Damn, Lego certainly have upped their game. I don't know about anyone else, but I get a distinctly Avengers vibe from them, like they've returned to fine form. Not that I'm not knocking the sets since 2012, the SHEILD car, Bugle, Hydra tank, Bank Truck, and the AIM lab in particular, are all in my twenty favourite sets but, these new sets feel “special" in some way.

Loving the Claremont-ish set, the Blackbird's looking good. Nice to see you could (with some minor modifications) seat 4/5 ish figs in the plane. Sentinel's looking great as well.

All are day one purchases. I think my wallet's going to regret that.

Any news on that last set? Do you think Yondu will be in it?

WOW! The designs! The guns these sets look great! Far better than the April range sets! I especially like how we get the long trench coat star lord and the short jacket version. I will be picking all of these up! This would have been a perfect year for Lego marvel if we had got CATWS sets. Immensely impressed with this wave though!

More importantly that video explains why the Avengers and co are so obsessed with fire safety.

I heard they were trying to get Smokey the Bear to join them, but he was too busy with the Defenders

WOW lego seems to be doing GOTG some serious justice, most of the figures looks kickass!

Wow, awesome pics!

Thanks for whoever provided them!

I'm not a big fan of Guardians of the Galaxy (not familiar with them, actually, so maybe that'll change after I've seen the movie) but I'll definitely buy the smallest set.

Star Lord's face is really cool, I can use that for several things. His torso looks nice as well :sweet:

After seeing Captain America last night I can understand why they didn't make any sets for it, not a whole lot of vehicles that would be set worthy. Plus the important characters already exist in minifigure form (Comic Falcon I think looks better than what movie Falcon would have been in minifigure form, though I could have used a new and less ugly Black Widow), so I can't say I see a need for them in that respect either. Though an exclusive winter soldier minifigure would definitely finish out the cast.

We could've at least gotten a small set with the new Cap suit and Nick Fury fighting the Winter Soldier with a SHIELD van or something. Although SPOILERS: I think we'll get the chance for a Winter Soldier figure later on. (this is the best way to hide spoilers that I could come up with right now, so highlight to see.) It was amazing, and a lot of people are calling it the best Marvel movie yet, which makes the lack of sets a little odd. The new Cap set was obviously they're attempt to cash in on it, with the old suit showing up for a pretty big portion of the film. Although why they didn't just have Winter Soldier on that tank instead of Red Skull and change up the color scheme is beyond me.

Those Guardians sets are pretty cool. I'm still not way into Groot, but that Nova Corps member looks really cool! Rocket's got shoulder pads for some reason, maybe they used that new piece to fix the tail problem. Whoever the blue girl is (names aren't my strong suit) she looks pretty awesome, too. Hopefully I'll be able to get some purist use out of her.

Gray Drax isn't doing anything for me. Does Star Lord have a new hairpiece or is it the same generic male one?

Nightcrawler with a printed prehensile tail? How's he supposed to hold on to anything with that? Just kidding. Seriously though, I just used a blue twist tie that I modified with some well placed snips from a scissors and smooshed it between the torso and hip piece on the minifig. Functional AND poseable! It's able to hold a foil when Nightcrawler feels like swashbuckling, and can hang from his custom Danger Room gym.

I'm very thankful for the posted pics for the GOTG sets. They are definitely must-buys for me! The sets look really well done, and the minifigs are designed very well! It's about time some Marvel minifigs get some flamin' leg printing.

Unfortunately, it looks like the minifig love ends with the GOTG sets. The X-Men "Black"bird a welcome addition to my collection, but the pics do NOT help the look of that cheesy Sentinel. And Cyclops? It looks like a purist custom, not an official Lego product. He has next to no detail, and the whole set has the feel of something that was slapped together at the last minute, like, "Oh snap! Days of Future Past is coming out in May! Who forgot the design that Marvel requested to promo the movie? Johnson?!?"

Johnson: "Erm...it's uh...RIGHT IN MY OFFICE! Lemme grab it...um...after my lunch break! Yeah, that's it."

Johnson breaks several traffic laws driving home, and he and his 5 year old son spend the next 60 minutes feverishly throwing blocks together, and ta daaaaa. This is the result. Johnson did a good job with the X-Jet, but Johnson Jr. had problems with the Sentinel, not wanting to sacrifice any of his Hero Factory pieces for the cause. Thankfully, brown suit Wolvie with the cowl is fantastic!

Honestly they should have put the Winter soldier in the AIM lab instead of Taskmaster and we'd have everyone from the movie worth having.

It's an old hairpiece but in a new color. I really wish they had done a new hairpiece, this is another piece that's just become overused in recent years.

These all look fantastic! All 3 GotG are looking like first day buys! The X-Men sets has nice figures and the Blackbird looks nice, but there is just something wrong with that sentinel (in my opinion). Either way it is nice to see some really well done Marvel sets in back to back waves! :classic:

There isn't another set. There were only reported to be 3 for GOTG, so we now have pictures of all of the summer wave sets.

The beauty of lego is you can customise and build your own :)

I know I'm going to be modifying that sentinel the second I get my hands on him.

Excuse my ignorance of news, I haven't frequented here in a while. I thought, that, apparently, we had two sets after the Milano and Knowwhere, one was later revealed to be the Nova starship while the last was undisclosed due to spoilers. I believe the speculation at the time was that it was either something big or something really small (like the Avengers wave with the smallest being Cap and two army builders). Sorry if I've got that wrong.

I personally heard nothing about a fourth undisclosed GotG set. The three sets that we have pictures of now were the only ones I ever heard anything about. The only other Marvel set for the Summer wave is that X-Men set that is very, very loosely based on DoFP.

Well, Marvel surprised me this year. I didn't think I'd touch the subtheme this year, yet I may get the Starblaster and X-Jet after all. So many nice new pieces...

Thanks. Must of been me then. Very nice what Lego's doing, despite the fact the costumes are different, you've got Falcon and Cap from TWS, Electro and Goblin from AMS2, GOTG sets for GOTG, and the X-Men set for DOFP. I know the costumes are a world apart but, to a kid, Falcon is Falcon and Wolverine's Wolverine. Very clever marketing, not only are you cashing in on the cartoons, but the films as well.

We were set to get 3, then at some Toy Fair an attendee was told they had 4 GoTG sets ready, though many speculate it was a confused tour guide who meant 4 Marvel sets, which would make sense, since at the time this was reported, the X-Jet wasn't revealed yet.

We need another set to get Yondu and the Collector! Not really, though. Even if some things from the film never make it into a set, these are still a nice mix. Definitely better than either the IM3 or the Man of Steel waves since none of this stuff is redundant. The Metropolis Showdown and Mandarin Lawnmower were basically useless sets, whereas the smallest one of these actually looks cool and seems nice.
