just2good Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Fresh off my Star Wars reveal, here's what is slated for January release for Superheroes (all DC, sorry Marvel fans, maybe next round!) 76010 The Penguin Face off 76011 Man-Bat Attack 76012 The Riddler Chase 76013 The Joker Steam Roller I have seen all four sets and will post impressions soon! Oh wow, looks like we don't need that Man Bat Cuusoo. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 They sound promising! Not at all. Penguin is part of Arkham Asylum, Riddler has a wrong design, Joker was in two sets (three if you count Arkhams overall version). Manbat is the only promising one but he will probably be the same as the Monster Hunter bats / CMF with pants. The only saving graces would be a different Justice Leaguer/companion for Batman in every set or set designs much better than the Riddler set. Quote
Ceroknight Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Could we get sizes for each set darth tater? Quote

Penguin is good for peps who didn't buy AA. Hopefully includes Bats, some Minions and the current Penguin. Manbat- seen this coming since MF.Surprised it took this long. And I knew this wave would have have Joker, why can't DC give him a rest? That's why I like BTB. But a steam roller, what a bad joke, but its the first Lego steam roller, right? Did you see the figs? Bats in every set, I know! But r we getting Batgirl , Nightwing, Alfred, Croc or any others? Quote

They'll probably be in a different style to fit the show, but still. I'm hoping we get JLA companions in the sets... Could we get sizes for each set darth tater? I'm sure he'll post that in his impressions. ...but its the first Lego steam roller, right? Nope, there were two in 2009, Edited August 13, 2013 by just2good Quote
Oky Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Thanks for the list, Tater! Joker Steam Roller?? Sounds very odd. I can't see this set being appealing in any shape or form. Oh wow, looks like we don't need that Man Bat Cuusoo. Not like we needed it to begin with.Quite frankly, this list sounds very disappointing. Man-Bat is the only new character here, and he was very easy to make out of existing parts already. So unless they shoehorn another new hero or villain into each of these sets, they wont be very interesting. I'll look forward to more info. Quote

Maybe two of the sets have Batgirl, Alfred, and Nightwing.i guess the might shoehorn them in. And the might be a couple of retail exclusives. Quote

Thanks! So there was no Marvel sets or names in the catalog? I guess this could mean winter is all DC and summer all Marvel, like in 2012. However what are the other two DC sets? Special editions I would guess possibly. Those sets sound alright, too early to judge, but a repeat Penguin, Riddler and Joker is not what I wanted to hear. Hopefully those sets include new JL members and other Batman characters never produced before. I hope the Penguin one is Arkham Origins inspired and we get Deathstroke. Quote
Oky Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Maybe the Marvel sets weren't in the catalog because they're based on the upcoming movies and they didn't want to spoil anything? Then again, there probably would have been at least set numbers with placeholder names... Quote
Omicron Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Great about Man Bat. But that's the only promising new villian thus far. But seeing as Riddler had a costume change, maybe Joker and Penguin will too? Otherwise, meh. :/ -Omi Quote
305Bats Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 UGH! I hope his impressions reveal NEW figures, already have Penguin,ANOTHER Joker, already made my own Manbat,Riddler sucks,I REALLY hope he's holding back on telling us about Croc,Alfred and Nightwing! Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Steam Roller? Interesting if true. Excited for a cheap Penguin and a Man-Bat! -Sci Quote
just2good Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 My guesses for prices and figure amounts... 76010 The Penguin Face off - $13 (2 figs) 76011 Man-Bat Attack - $20 (3 figs) 76012 The Riddler Chase $30 (3 figs) 76013 The Joker Steam Roller $50 (5 figs) 76014 [Retail Exclusive set] - $40 (4 figs, and I wanna say something to do with Pyg) If we're lucky, maybe we can get a sixth set, making two exclusives? They do it with Star Wars and City all the time, and with Toy Story 3... I would guess that to be either a Green Lantern or Superman set, y'know, for The LEGO Movie. Quote

Okay so here's what I can remember from the images: The Penguin Face-Off: Might be one of the best $13 LEGO sets ever. Comes with Batman, the Penguin and two robot penguin henchmen with dynamite. Batman has some sort of jet ski (I can't recall if it's similar to the polybag) and the Penguin has a duck-like flotation ride similar to the Batman Returns design. The Man-Bat Attack: Batman, Robin (I thought it might've been Nightwing, but he looks really cool!) and Man-Bat. Really cool looking Bat-Helicopter. Could retail for $25 The Riddler Chase: We've all seen it. The Joker Steam Roller: This is the one I'm most excited for. 5 total minifigures, but all I could make out was Batman and the Joker (purple hat included!). While the box art made it look like two heroes and three villians, I am not ruling out the possibility of the other hero being Nightwing. The Steam Roller looks ridiculously awesome, with a ton of great colors. Batman's vehicle is a jet, with similar wing functionality to that of the Republic Striker from the Old Republic line. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Not a fan of that list, or the characters included. I am excited for Man-Bat, though I'm sure he'll just be like the Monster Fighter/CM figure, however I do enjoy getting a new, non-rehash Batman villain. Riddler set is still there, but yeah, Joker Steam Roller? Really? I...I... Anyways, the Penguin set is not too exciting for me either. I'm not a fan of the new Penguin figure, but I'm moreso not a fan that they are still using old Batman villains we've already have in lue of new characters. Thanks so much for this, nearly as good as I expect the pictures to be. I cant wait until the images surface and its a serious bummer for my wallet. Lego Simpsons aswell has to fit on the budget, I better be getting more jobs Quote

Thing from Batman returns, good build Man Bat: again awesome: hero could Batgirl, Daimian, Nightwing, Red Robin or Red Hood. steam Roller: again awesome. Batgirl or Nightwing, hopefully Joker is from his Killing Joke outfit cuz of his hat! Wonder who the other villains are, what did they look like? Quote
Kez Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Where are these images from, and when can we expect to see pics? Most likely the retailers 2014 catalogue. I really hope that the penguin is a different variation to the one we have atm and where is killer croc. By any chance Tater do you have a confirmed list for the hobbit 2013 sets? thanks again Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Thanks for these descriptions! Definitely will pick up the Penguin set. And the Riddler one. -Sci Quote

Yes you are probably right, if its not scarecrow maybe it could be another Harley, or a character we haven't had before in lego and maybe a joker henchman. I would also like to see a newer killer croc although I doubt he will be present in any of these sets as of yet (Victor zsasz would also be great but I highly doubt he will ever be made) Edited August 14, 2013 by Kez Quote

Once in the Funhouse and and in Arkham in her Dr. Harleen days. I hope for Croc or another villain that hasn't been made yet? But it might be another villain we already got or another henchman(yawn) Quote
