Marvelfan120 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Hopefully it isn't a scheduling change and more so that they are going to promote the sets and push them when the movie actually comes out. That way they get people (like me) who will buy them the day they are out, and then there will be those who wait to see the movie and decide on buying them depending on their opinion of the movie. this would be nice... legofreak86 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) If we were to get Deathstroke then I'd think it'd be either this version http://img2.wikia.no...Deathstroke.jpg or the arrow version http://i.newsarama.c....jpg?1397051326 Personally I prefer the arrow one cause it looks more accurate to the comics but the dark blue orange and gold mixed with the grey and black really work well. Plus the armour looks really realistic like real body armour and something that seems believable in real life. The Beware one is cool but stroke has both eyes and it looks kind of simplistic and there is no ammo belt or anything like that. Then again this fits Lego's batman cartoony look and would tie in with son of batman which Lego took the damian design from. http://comicsworthreading.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/SoBat-Deathstroke.jpg Edited May 2, 2014 by legofreak86 Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 After watching episodes 13-15 of beware the batman I realise surely soon it should be time to see Ras in a set. Lego can't claim that beware is no longer successful enough to continue tying in cause it recently was nominated for a daytime emmy and it is returning to TV in July (perhaps to coincide with bat's 75th?). I could potentially see a future set involving Ras at least but maybe katana and badass Alfred as well. Their designs would lend themselves well to Lego representation and would finally allow Alfred into a set in an action role. Obviously with another vehicle or maybe Wayne manor. Maybe as Deathstroke also turns up in episode 22 they could do a set with Ras, stroke and a goon attacking Wayne manor in a vehicle and have Arrow, Alfred and Black Beware Batman variant seen on the calendar fighting them maybe with katana as an extra. As both arrow and beware have dealings with the league and Deathstroke in their current series it would hit two birds with one stone so to speak. I'd rather we get a traditional Alfred. For some reason the ex-MI6 badass Alfred just doesn't appeal to me. It would be cool if we could get a Beware Batman and a Green Arrow team-up for at least Deathstroke if not Deathstroke and Ra's, though. The Beware Katana is too easy to purist (albeit without the mask) for a minifig design in my opinion, so if we get her at all it should be her New 52 design. Come to think of it, we could have the Outsiders if they kept making Beware sets and episodes! They've got Katana and Metamorpho, and all they'd need now is Black Lightning and maybe Wildcat for a bare minimum Outsiders. They wouldn't even really new pieces, just new prints! Quote
just2good Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 Someone is selling some of the GotG and X-Men figs on eBay. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Those look really neat. As I've stated before, I've never heard of GOTG until this movie was coming out. And I still know nothing about them because I haven't seemed really interested in reading about them. However, the figures are looking cool, so I'll probably pick them up. Similar to some random SW figures. They look cool even if I've never heard of them. That's all TLG needs to do I guess. Quote

They have a lot of fun stories in the comics, and if you wanted to get prepared for the movie I would suggest reading the annihilation run. Those figures do look amazing however $25 for each is kind of ridiculous, especially when they come out for retail in less then a month. I'm sure some Youtubers will buy them though to review on their channels. Quote

The ebay seller says in the description that they won't release until August, although that is probably due to the movies release date. Quote

You can see here that on the Marvel.com release they state that they have a June release I think a few other outlets have confirmed that as well. My guess is that the seller is trying to make them seem rarer at the moment, or just genuinely doesn't know and just assumed that the sets come out the same time as the movie. Quote
KingPixels Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Someone is selling some of the GotG and X-Men figs on eBay. The GoTG figs look great but I still hate that Magneto. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Starlord looks awesome! I can't wait for the sets to come. So if they are scheduled for a June release, does that mean they will get released late May? Quote
B-Lister Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 The GoTG figs look great but I still hate that Magneto. The first is best, but I'm sure they just wanted to switch things up a bit. Quote
legofreak86 Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I don't know if I'm alone in thinking this but I think it'd be great to see some of the villains who appeared on brave and the bold in sets. Clock King, Black manta, gorilla grodd, gentleman ghost, Ras al ghul, Darkseid. Same with heroes I'd like to see Green arrow (but in a hood), Black canary e.t.c. Just a passing thought whilst watching BATB on blu ray for the first time. Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I was looking at the preliminary picture of the spider-trike vs electro set and it looks so much better than the official set. Why did they change it? Quote

Zilcho Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 The robin in the batcave is the same robin from Arkham which is Tim. Nightwing is Dick. And the Steam Roller robin is Damian. Cool, thanks! Also who was the first robin we got, in the old batman sets? Also how old is each Robin? There's probably no definite answer since they're always ageing in the comics, but when did each become Robin/Nightwing? Quote

There's probably no definite answer since they're always ageing in the comics, but when did each become Robin/Nightwing? Dick Grayson was the first Robin featured. He also was recently remade in the Juniors Batcave. As for ages it depends on what version you're following. Batman the animated series had Dick Grayson as being in his late teens/early twenties (He was a college student during the course of the series and graduates towards the end), Tim Drake on the other hand seems to be very early teens (Somewhere in the 11-13 range I've always assumed). I think in the comics generally each Robin takes up the mantle sometime during their teens. And I would say there's at the very least five years age difference between each generation of Robin. So essentially Dick Grayson is in his twenties, Tim Drake in his mid/late teens and Damian Wayne in his early teens. Edited May 4, 2014 by strangely Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 My question is how does someone even get the figs early? If I were them Id just keep the whole darn thing! Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I heard that the Robins in Batman and first wave Super Heroes were Tim Drake (from the LEGO Batman visual dictionary) and that the Juniors one is Dick, and the Steam Roller one is obviously Damian. Nightwings are also Dick, of course. Quote

Seeing how he is from Texas, it is most likely that these are leaked factory figures from Mexico. I contacted him, and he doesn't have the sets. Quote

Ultimately I usually choose to label them according to which version they most look like most. Quote
B-Lister Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) Dick Grayson was the first Robin featured. He also was recently remade in the Juniors Batcave. incorrect on both counts. The first Robin was Tim in his original costume. The Juniors Robin features the new Tim head and torso, with the old Tim legs. So it's a hybrid, but I believe the intent was for the Juniors Robin to be Dick. Edited May 4, 2014 by B-Lister Quote

But don't they all wear the original robin costume at some point? So what might be Jason Todd could be early Dick or older Damian. Edited May 4, 2014 by Zilcho Quote
