legofreak86 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Good point. It could be something else Lego and Batman related. However if it was just some accessory or t shirt or book or something then why wouldn't they say what it was. It must be something vaguely secret at least as they made an effort to not mention what it was! They wouldn't bother with secrecy for something miscellaneous surely?! Master_Data Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I really hope we get that redesigned Wonder Woman from the game. When should we get word about the game's pre-order minifigure? Quote
Gremer Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I believe the preorder bonus is usually revealed 1-2 months before the actual release. Quote
KCMatze Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Yep, we usually get it when it's up on amazon for preorder... Was the case with Iron Patriot for me! Quote
KingPixels Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I just had a terrible thought. What if LEGO releases a Daredevil figure... as an SDCC exclusive? Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Well, unfortunately, that seems like the likeliest way to get him (and several other characters) but I don't want to even make predictions about the exclusives! Quote
Colossus Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Good damn gravy. Why another Tumbler? I read nothing but complaints on this forum about every other one that's been released up to this point. There's so much potential DC material that could be done but instead we get more Bat-planes, -copters, -boats. GOTG sets have just been released and they look to be selling well. They're not even connected to any released media; just a couple 2-minute trailers and an episode of the animated Avengers show. Surely, established DC characters would do well without Batman or Superman. Quote
Faefrost Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Bleah! I still hold out hope for a UCS Barris Batmobile some day. Granted a Tumbler probably works well in Lego, but I am just sick to death of them. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) Just got the X-Men set today and put it together. I know it's been reviewed already so I'll just put my two cents in.... The Minifigures are great. I was expecting to hate that Magneto but he's not bad (I'd rather have a new take on him than the same as we got before) Wolverine is better than the first one we got even before you consider the Cowl... With the Cowl well, words fail! Cyclops and Storm are very nice, not as good as Wolverine but better than Magneto. I love the Jet for several reasons, most of which have been covered by others.. the seating for 4... Awesome...The spring loaded missiles, very nice (Flick missiles are lame) and the design is sleek and interesting. The Sentinel is, just like Magneto, better than expected, in fact, I like it a lot, I am going to buy 2 or 3 more on e-bay so I can have a sentinel army. If I had to say anything negative about it, it's that it's a very easy build... Not challenging whatsoever, but it's a superhero set and we never seem to get the really good builds. So Overall I'd give it an 7.5 out of 10... was it worth 50 the bucks, yes... but not by much. Edited May 31, 2014 by Marvelfan120 Quote

Surely, established DC characters would do well without Batman or Superman. I have nothing against another Tumbler set since Legos two previous attempts are pitiful but an UCS Tumbler is not helping in finding a solution for that problem and as it seems its release postponed the release of an actually good/okay Tumbler from Cuusoo. On the subject of the tumbler as long as it comes with some DK trilogy unreleased figures I welcome it. Heres hoping for Michael caine Alfred, Liam neeson ras, Begins batman and TDK joker. I doubt they would put them in with such a size-difference. Or that they put in such a wide and a bit random character selection. I just had a terrible thought. What if LEGO releases a Daredevil figure... as an SDCC exclusive? Then that figure would have a red printed head similar to the game and if he ever appears in a set he would have a cap like Flash. I really hope we get that redesigned Wonder Woman from the game. When should we get word about the game's pre-order minifigure? It´s certain that all the figs from that game trailer will get released, otherwise they would have just kept the designs from the previous game. Quote
legofreak86 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) So as tomorrow is 1st June. Are we expecting the X-men set and Guardians ones to hit lego.com as per the info we have heard before? Oh and update for Uk peeps. Tesco's website currently have the starblaster listed which would suggest that the Guardians sets will be available this month in the UK. The Joker1 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I was at Lego store westfield today and asked about the x-men set, They said they had it but couldn't sell it until tomorrow , Even though they had all the june release SW sets and the ghostbusters set out. Didn't ask about the GOTGs as i got them all online. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I doubt that they would make Daredevil an exclusive, since he's about to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I think him, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and maybe Jessica Jones will wind up in sets at some point soon, particularly if they actually get the movie spin-offs for them. I saw the new X-Men set at Toys R Us Thursday, but I couldn't afford it. I'm not a fan of the Tumbler (although the DKR one we got in LEGO form was pretty neat) so I'm hoping the Tumbler just doesn't happen. Honestly, it's not even the best movie Batmobile. Heck, it's not even the best Bat-vehicle in the Dark Knight movies. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Assume it is a new tumbler set. Obviously LEGO will do a great job with how it looks. That doesn't mean people will have to buy it. I would assume, if it has poor sales, then LEGO will take the hint and give us DC fans another option. Although I do love Batman related sets and would gladly welcome more (I know most aren't in that same boat). Although, I do want some variety with other heroes too! I think a Batmobile looks better as a display piece than a tumbler. I loved it in the movie, but I can't picture it on my shelf. I could picture the UCS batmobile (with some mods, since I didn't love how it turned out either). I guess we will see the final product. Quote
Ondra Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Brickset probably confirmed release of Tumbler this year. http://brickset.com/sets/76023-1 Quote
BeKindRewind Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 On the topic of this new, undisclosed Batman set: could it possibly be either the batmobile or the batplane from the Lego Movie? They both were pretty awesome, and it might be how we get Green Lantern as either would be mini-fig scale. Quote
Captain America fan 1 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Hello. I have 75 dollars and I don't know what to buy. Should I buy the big GOTG set or the X men set and the $20 GOTG set? Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Hello. I have 75 dollars and I don't know what to buy. Should I buy the big GOTG set or the X men set and the $20 GOTG set? X-Men and small GOTG. I would totally buy the TLM Batmobile. Though it better have a sound brick with DARKNESS (duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh NUH) NO PARENTS (duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh NUH) Quote
CapnRex101 Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I would be delighted with just about any Batmobile at UCS scale, or even another vehicle in Batman's arsenal. A Tumbler would be ideal though... Quote
Ultron Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Hello. I have 75 dollars and I don't know what to buy. Should I buy the big GOTG set or the X men set and the $20 GOTG set? I'd say the Milano. It's a better build and has some great figs. Quote
Cult_Of_Skaro Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 I would be delighted with just about any Batmobile at UCS scale, or even another vehicle in Batman's arsenal. A Tumbler would be ideal though... Just as long as it's not a tumblr... Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) I would LOVE a UCS Burton Batmobile. That's my personal favorite. Or the new Arkham Knight one, that's pretty cool. If they must make another Tumbler I want Brent Waller's. Edited June 1, 2014 by Tolkien Quote
Cammo Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 (edited) Jesus the new GotG sets are expensive over here... 55 eur for the Knowhere Escape an X-men and 90 eur for the Milano. If there weren't any stickers I wouldnt be complaining but I'm not tending to buy it on the L@H shop. I'll probably have to wait till some sales or hit Amazon. Edited June 1, 2014 by Cammo Quote
