just2good Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) The invisible woman using her powers. Gosh darn it, wouldn't that be an awesome exclusive. Trans-clear on minifigures is extremely uncommon, so I'm sure people while be even more ticked. I wonder if they'll give her a trans-clear hairpiece, too. Probably would run for $1000 each. Mr_Flippers13 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) What if the new Batman set is the watchtower! We could get some of the new minifigs that we saw in the batman 3 trailer! It would be DC/Batman and could easily be in the 100-250$ price range! (Brainiac and green-lantern!) Edited June 4, 2014 by Mr_Flippers13 Quote
Gremer Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Does anybody have SDCC minifig exclusives ideas? A full sized Galactus. Joking aside, I would say Dark Phoenix and Carnage. Quote
Mr_Flippers13 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Maybe the minifig Galactus fro the marvel videogame? That would be sad But would look amazing! Quote
just2good Posted June 4, 2014 Author Posted June 4, 2014 Maybe the minifig Galactus fro the marvel videogame? That would be sad But would look amazing! Nah, as he has a new mould. Promos like SDCC and polybags never really use new moulds. Quote
TheBatstan Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Lego better not make Dark Phoenix an SDCC exclusive. WE DONT EVEN HAVE NORMAL PHOENIX IN A SET YET!!! Quote

TheBuoyWonder Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 If they do make a 66 batmobile do you guys think they'll include a printed cowl for batman or is that impossible? Quote
deskp Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 If they do make a 66 batmobile do you guys think they'll include a printed cowl for batman or is that impossible? It's possible, they printed the cowl for that electric? batman or wahtever it was. Quote
Faefrost Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Does anybody have SDCC minifig exclusives ideas? Given the pattern we sometimes see of alt uniform movie characters I would not be surprised to see a comic style blue with red trim uniform Rocket Raccoon or Star Lord. Maybe a heartbreaking yet obscure DOFP X Men character. Such as Bishop, blink or Kitty Pride (although I suspect Marvel will veto anything that even implies DOFP). Black movie outfit Falcon? Or god forbid the worst possible fan snub, the Winter Soldier. Over at DC, maybe a TV (Arrow) version of Black Canary or Huntress, or worse Deathstroke. If they do make a 66 batmobile do you guys think they'll include a printed cowl for batman or is that impossible? I would expect the printing if they do Adam West. They have no issue printing on headpieces, it's just his and the 70's cartoon versions are really the only ones that would use it. I can't think of any other bat cowls that have any markings of color changes? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Plastic Man revealed for Beyond Gotham: He seems like an SDCC exclusive to me. I think you are correct. He uses no new pieces, and most SDCC exclusives have boot printing. Quote
Faefrost Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Nah, as he has a new mould. Promos like SDCC and polybags never really use new moulds. Not entirely true. They never use new unique molds. They will however sometimes get a new mold that is designated for use elsewhere first. Lex Luthors armor and Azog the Orc being the two good examples. I can't remember did the SDCC Arrow fig have the new Hawkeye bow? Quote

I can't remember did the SDCC Arrow fig have the new Hawkeye bow? Yeah, that's what I mean, but I should have stated that. Though, keep in mind that Lex's mould was used in Series 7 first. It goes that if a set using that mould is coming that year, promos and D2Cs can use a new mould that isn't unique. The only time this didn't happen was with the BR LEGO promobag. That was weird. Churchill Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Oh, I can't wait to play Plas! I have a Christo Plastic Man and it looks amazing but I'd love a Lego version, so I hope it's not the exclusive. Quote
Gooker1 Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Plastic Man revealed for Beyond Gotham: He seems like an SDCC exclusive to me. He looks soo badass! Quote
KCMatze Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 I think Christos is waaay better then the official with those weird red pants. Cannot afford a Christo custom though :-/ Quote
Ultron Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 A full sized Galactus. Joking aside, I would say Dark Phoenix and Carnage. I hope you're wrong...Carnage would be so easy to do and is an iconic spider-man villain. We already got screwed with Phoenix so they better not do Dark Phoenix either. Quote

We already got screwed with Phoenix so they better not do Dark Phoenix either. However Carnage is not exactly "kid-friendly" and is not as common (to my limited spiderman knowledge) in cartoons and movies, so he would not be as iconic to kids/young teens. To me, sad as I am to say it, he sounds like the ideal comiccon figure. Also I would be surprised by a dark phoenix simply because we already got 1 phoenix fig. Maybe a AvX Cyclops phoenix? Quote

He was in the Lego Marvel game. Sure he's a psycho killer but look at Ultron, we'll probably sets with him next year. A cyclops variant might be a good guess. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Have you guys been following this story about Marvel wiping out any and all appearances and/or references to he Fantastic Four in the comics? According to places like CBR, Marvel recently issued memos to all artists and creatives to refrain from using any of the FF characters or villains. Presumably it's further fire in the feud between them and 20th Century Fox over the movie rights to the Fantastic Four, and Fox's plans to reboot the franchise. Supposedly Marvel doesn't want to promote the FF brand at all, up to and including publishing its oldest super hero team comic!!!!! If this is indeed true.... I suppose we can kiss any hopes of a 2015 Fantastic Four set goodbye. Anyone know anything? Quote
Dharkan Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Unfortunately what you say is true. And yes, probably Marvel will tell Lego to not make any sets of FF. But to be honest, it makes sense if you empathize with Marvel. Shame we won't get any sweet FF minifigures :( Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 But why would they try to suppress an entire franchise because of movies they hated? It doesn't make much sense for them to think that people would only have the movies in mind. Quote
Dharkan Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Because they want it back and they want Fox to get no profit out of it. But they might surprise us by letting Lego do sets, however I find it unlikely. Quote
