Marvelfan120 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I just hope this crap between Marvel/Disney and Fox doesn't mean we wont see sets loosely based on X-Men Age of Apocalypse... I'm dying for an Apocalypse fig among others. Quote

legofreak86 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 (edited) Yes that seems unlikely now. At least avengers 2 if nothing else will get some coverage. With the likes of Dr Strange and Black panther coming in the future I reckon we could get some quite interesting figures and sets for their movies. Even if USM line continues, they seem to have merged it with the avengers in the latest series which was on Disney XD yesterday. So maybe USM sets will become the norm for each year for the January wave and he summer and may waves may focus on the movies with the occasional comic based set for X-men etc.. Personally i'm hoping for a full wave of avengers 2 stuff like 6 sets and that those will give us some new variants of the avengers and new characters like scarlet witch, ultron, quicksilver, baron strucker and maybe MCU fury and hill. But on the other hand.....dat black Spider-Man head I might have to get. So kevkipo, I just call them and tell them what happened , tell them my direction or can i actually do it in my local lego store Go to the Lego customer service site and go to Bricks and Pieces. Moon_Knight Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 So kevkipo, I just call them and tell them what happened , tell them my direction or can i actually do it in my local lego store Don't get your hopes up. I called in to ask for a replacement for a Star Wars mold and they said they don't replace licensed molds. You can bid or buy a Rocket Raccoon on EBay but they're about $20. Quote
StarLord1987 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I am already in it, turns out rocket's head is not available for now, they told me that when there is one available they will directly ship it to me. Oh well :( But isn't it their job to give you as a customer and client to help you, after all clients are always right If they say they do not replace licensed molds, I guess I'll have to leave rocket like that even if he is an awesome figure :( Quote

Oh well :( But isn't it their job to give you as a customer and client to help you, after all clients are always right If they say they do not replace licensed molds, I guess I'll have to leave rocket like that even if he is an awesome figure :( Well this is more of an instance of damage after the fact then directly because of Lego. If it came busted in the box, then I'm sure they'd help you right away (assuming no license thing conflicts with them helping you--actually, it shouldn't be a problem, one of my flickr contacts received a busted up Hulk, and was sent a replacement one) but this was something that was damaged after the set was opened and played with; ergo not on account of Legos actions. After it's out of their hands, they're not really liable if you damage it--but, lucky Lego is nice, and hopefully you'll get your replacement--because buying a new one for $20 is ridiculous considering that's like half the cost of the set. Alternatively, it might be more financially helpful to wait a while; so the sets are out longer and there's more cheaper coons on the market. Quote
StarLord1987 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 You are so right, they did actually send me an email confirming if it was me, they are going to ship my replacement! :))) For those of you who want to see gotg, my best friend messaged me from the US and said he apparently saw an early very early screening of it, he told it is worth waiting for, fantastic, amusing, pure eye candy he gave it a super positive review and said that the lego sets are very accurate except for some tiny mistakes Also for those of you who like or know the inhumans, marvel is developing a film, I was thinking in my bed that would we actually see sets based on the film if it is really confirmed Quote

Wow that's a big step for Marvel, the only member i know is Black Bolt Quote

StarLord1987 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Very good question, my friend told me it was not still finished that is why it comes in August, he is a movie critic and he sat next to a latino review critic, they invited them to have a peek and to test it, then they would say to them what they thought was lacking, he didn't stay to credits and it is still not finished lets see what surprises they have for us And even if i knew , I consider it would be a spoiler and I am not that kindof person But hey we will find out very soon! I am excited gosh Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Let's leave the discussion of the actual films to such threads in Culture and Multimedia. Especially spoilery things. Some readers here (myself included) intentionally avoid such things to enjoy watching the movies more. Quote

Maybe they're less strict with other licenses or more lenient now. I asked for a replacement almost two years ago. Edited June 7, 2014 by Moon_Knight Quote
Dr Axels Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 (edited) I just hope this crap between Marvel/Disney and Fox doesn't mean we wont see sets loosely based on X-Men Age of Apocalypse... I'm dying for an Apocalypse fig among others. I doubt we'll get an Apocalypse. Don't be so certain. Look at the Marvel sets we received this spring and summer. At least 1 of them coincides with a Marvel film released this year. While some are not accurate to the films themselves (Like the Electro or Sentinel sets), they at least relate to the movies in terms of featured characters. We could easily see another X-Men set around the release of the Apocalypse film that features the iconic villain as his comic book depiction. Edited June 7, 2014 by Dr Axels Quote

Those sets were planned before Marvel's recent move to put everything F4 and X-Men related on the back burner. They're phasing them from relevancy in the comics so I would be shocked if they weren't going to do the same merchandising wise. Quote

super curry max Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Was the cyclops in the x-men vs sentinel set changed? wasn't it supposed to look more like his astonishing costume? the one in the set looks more like cyclops in his second costume that he wore up until x-factor. Quote

squirtlepower Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 (edited) Picked up the blackbird today, very underwhelmed with the sentinal more so than I thought I would be. The minifigures and blackbird itself are all beautifully done though. The new Guardian sets looked really temping too seeing them in person. I don't know about that. Those sets were planned before Marvel's recent move to put everything F4 and X-Men related on the back burner. They're phasing them from relevancy in the comics so I would be shocked if they weren't going to do the same merchandising wise. Marvel can try phase out the X-men but with Wolverine as one of the biggest stars in all of comic book franchises being tied to the X-men, good luck Marvel. Edited June 9, 2014 by squirtlepower Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I just got the new X-Men set, and I really love it. The jet-to-Sentinel size ratio seems a bit off, but the jet's so cool that I don't care. I really need a Professor X to play chess with my Magneto(s) on the jet now! That WARNING screen is going by the wayside as soon as I find a chessboard piece. Quote
