Captain Nemo Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Might any one explain to me what D2C means? Direct to Consumer. These are large sets sold directly to customers through Lego stores and the Lego website only. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Might any one explain to me what D2C means? D2C = Direct to Consumer, aka a Lego store exclusive set. Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 "Direct to consumer", i.e, large exclusive sets only available at LEGO stores or the online shop. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Here's a picture of the Joker illumination suit. Quote
Cammo Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I have no idea what is in that photo. It looks like a disco-variant from his Steamroller outfit. Probably a goof suit that makes enemies dance to some disco tunes from the Tim Burton Soundtrack. Well, just my guess. Quote
TheStrategist Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I'm having a hard time following this thread sometimes, who claimed there will be two minifigures? For sure there will be a large tumbler (due to price) and manager knew because it was indicated inside their registry 2 pages ago, cammo posted this. Someone claims to have seen a picture of the UCS Tumbler: "Seen pictures of it and it’s awesome. over 1800 bricks and Includes two The Dark Knight minifigs. Batman and Heath Ledger’s The Joker." Source: http://www.groovebri...ler-on-its-way/ If you go to that site, scroll down to the comments to see the person who claimed to have seen it. Quote
Moon_Knight Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Did we get any leaked photos of the Riddler Chase #76102 before Comic Con last year? Quote
just2good Posted July 5, 2014 Author Posted July 5, 2014 Did we get any leaked photos of the Riddler Chase #76102 before Comic Con last year? Nope. It was an official reveal. Quote
matticus Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Lego, just hurry up with the Green Lantern figure already. Quote
Captain America fan 1 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Unless there are really good minifigures or the set is just amazing, I will probably pass on it. $200 is just a lot to me, and unless it is really impressing, I won't get it. Quote
DarthBrickus Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Might any one explain to me what D2C means? Direct to Customer Stuff sold only at Lego Stores and not other retailers. (I think) Oops, didnt't see this was already answered Edited July 5, 2014 by DarthBrickus Quote
Sam892 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 The rumour about this tumbler containing Minifigs really sounds fishy to me. From the idea I've got of this set is that it will be a large, not to Minifigure scale set that won't come with play features and is just for display. So why would it have minifigures? They serve no purpose being there. Quote
Dharkan Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Only 2 minifigures anyway. Just some exclusive minifigure gifts to go along with it. Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Only 2 minifigures anyway. Just some exclusive minifigure gifts to go along with it. I could see that. It's not like they have not done it in the past in other themes. Quote

They serve no purpose being there. Well, the Star Wars D2C sets sometimes aren't minifigure scale and contain relevant minifigures (look at the Super Star Destroyer). I don't mind that, a nice treat if you want to display it. Edited July 5, 2014 by Cammo Quote
BrickyNolan35 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 It was Ventriloquist and Scar face http://cache.lego.com/r/club/-/media/club/markets/us/club%20codes/2014/us/gotham4.pdf?l.r=1408640323 Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 I like the mutant gang member at the far back behind Ventriloquist and Scar face. Nice find! Quote
Captain Nemo Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Well unfortunately that Scarface is not possible without some new body piece--there's no way he could hold that gun, still he could be a possibility. But man, we need a Green Lantern now; it's torture seeing him in Lego movies, games, comics, flashlights; everything but a minifigure! Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 That microfig is best for scale, but the hat's too big and the gun can't be held, so I'm thinking LEGO Batman 3, but not a physical release. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Those could be easily made, and i assume we will probably get scarecrow again, scarface and ventriliquist in 2015, along with green lantern. Green lantern had no leg printing in that comic, so i assume if they make green lantern he might not have leg printing in his minifigure form. Quote
Moon_Knight Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Haha love the nod to Dark Knights Returns with the mutant gang in the back. Quote
Ikkad555 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 (edited) Scarface is cute! The normal-sized fedora on his microfig head is goofy, but I like it. Great reuse of the CMF Grandpa bald-piece, too. The way the gun is held is probably just artistic freedom though, and not what we'll be getting in a physical release. With Green Lantern appearing in the same comic with them, and knowing that Hal is sure to pop up next year, it's certain now that the puppetmaster and his extra-large dummy are appearing in next year's lineup. Scarecrow too, by the looks of it. Actually, pairing the Scarecrow, master of fear, with the Green Lantern -- whose weakness is the color of fear -- is a good idea. It's a shame we won't be getting any Lantern villains that way, but with the current trend of JL members facing off against appropriate Bat-villains (Aquaman versus preserving fish meat and the Flash against a guy who will make a riddle out of a banana), a set with that set-up fits perfectly! Where the Ventriloquist will pop up, however, is yet to be seen.. EDIT: Almost forgot to mention the DKR mutant having a cameo in the background! Nice touch. Edited July 5, 2014 by Ikkad555 Quote
