I fear for the future of Spider-Man, as the USM cartoon is atrocious and the villain designs are just the worst. I don't want a ninja Scorpion or mutated rhino. And now Doc Ock is floating around in a bubble.

Lizard is fine but I'm afraid he would be a bigfig and Sandman and Kraven look good too.

I'm afraid for carnage the most, his ultimate comic design was great but the one in the show has to be the worst iteration I've seen since artists started drawing him with no black.

You clearly arent up ob villian portrayals. Doc Ock is fine, only difference is scarring on his face and new googles. Scorpion has green armour built like a scorpion . Rhino i acttually like. carnage too. Dont hate on something. because its diffirent, or you arnet up to date on the show.

Lizard could be made with a new headmould and tail. Hes not that big.

It would be from laughter, so I don't know.

How was his portrayal? What did the costume look like. I know its supposed to be a younger version!

Agent venom? i've seen him a couple times but i really dont know why or how he became Agent Venom? are we still talking about that mean angry symbiote stuff?

Its Flash Thompson, Peter's bully. The government decided to use the symbiote because it bonded with him well, but they limetes the amout of time tge symbiote could be on him.

USM, symbiote bonds to him, likes him, wont come off, so he trains with shield to be come a hero.

It's a fair criticism of the cartoon. Many of the characters' designs and origins have been totally changed, and fans of the classics are worried that we'll continue to get awful USM minifigures instead of the classics. Thankfully Doctor Doom and Doc Ock made it through (Ock after he got a USM minifig), but we're still waiting on classic Green Goblin.

That doesn't mean anything,LEGO Batman 2 used the 2006 Mr Freeze and in the next Batman wave we got a brand new Mr Freeze figure. Sometimes TT games have to use the older designs as the new ones are still being developed.

To be honest, I didn't even remember that. But I looked back, and you're right. Who knows? If we get Alfred, he should be able to get a redesign.

But then again, look at the figures for LEGO Marvel Superheroes. The 2014 figures are exact matches of what are in the game. I think TT is getting more and more of a heads up from LEGO with each release. That being said, please release an Alfred soon, LEGO. The Batcave just isn't complete without him.

And the Bricklink prices are ridiculous.

The issue with the USM toon is that is has very little adult appeal.

No, don't come over here screaming "I'm an adult and I love it!". I know you exist. It's just factual that your numbers are low. USM toon does NOT have universal appeal unlike other things like Teen Titans, Avatar (airbender one ;p), Ninja Turtles, etc. In fact tons of the older group who grew up with very different versions of these things hate the new stuff. Not because it's new, because that isn't an unclimbable hurtle. But because it's new AND doesn't appeal to them. You can make new things appeal to adults and the USM toon failed.

Again, I know some adults love it. You're in the huge minority though. The USM toon is by far almost entirely a child affair. So naturally a lot of older viewers will curse the figures based on the new guys and wish for more old styled ones. I for one hate the new Green Goblin and want a classic one.

How do you know they were trying to please Both adults and kids? In my opinion USM is obviously aimed for kids, so I don't think they "failed" to appeal to adults because they weren't trying to in the first place.

The show is doing great and is very popular with its aimed audience. I welcome any USM fig, even if we don't ever get a classic version of that character.

And the Bricklink prices are ridiculous.

I just checked Bricklink, are they serious? Prices for him and Nightwing are atrocious. Yes, I know supply and demand but there is also where someone pay that much. Ugh. Makes every other figure look as cheap as a 3001.

But yes, we need another one. Though I'm not sure what subject in a set other than a Batcave could he be in?

I don't know about the portrayal, since I don't actually watch the show, but:

After I jumped, I did get a good laugh out of the costume. I don't mind different, but I can't praise this just because it tries something new. (I'm only talking about the designs of course, like I said, I haven't actually taken the time to watch the show. I do have it on queue though.)

Oh my. Well, we've gotten comic version of Dr. Doom and Doc Ock. Hopefully LEGO will go that route.

That is a scary Vulture.

I'm just pointing out that the Alfred is different from the original, look at the collar. Also I don't think that in 2006 minifigures had back printing.

My eyes! They burn almost as badly as they do when I see TNMT movie figs!

I think if that was the Vulture we'd get, I'd pass on it. Although I think it's more likely we'd get a comic version anyways--if anything so Lego can not include a hair piece. I don't know what it is, but the superhero line loves bald headed figures. Granted I've not checked, but I bet it's safe to say at least half or more of all the superhero sets have one or more figures without hair accessories.

I cannot see us getting an Alfred anytime soon. He really only fits with a Batcave set, so until we get a new one in a few years (movie version or otherwise), I cannot see us getting one. Although I don't see that as too much of a loss--there's far more characters who would be more useful that we don't yet have. And if not a set, I could also see him popping up in a DC minifigure book or something (which I actually think is the same way we'd get a Stan Lee figure); he seems perfect for that.

TT games have added back printing to several old characters, they did this in a LEGO Batman 2 to the 2006 Nightwing.

I would love that, actually! Hey, they might make another Batman movie! That would be a smart way to give him out.

Anything as long as he's not a Con(ning) exclusive. Then he'll be far more than a Pennyworth.

Look like he was mutated or something along the lines. I mean in the episode he doesnt remember his past. I like it, i like most of the designs for the show. Yes im a hige Spidey fan, but i do like the show and character designs. They obivously want to tell their own stories with these characters.

Lets not forget, the movies do this too somethimes good, LOKI sometimes bad cough: Mandarin :cough:

Green Lantern, Green Arrow, half the Justice League, Killer Moth...ok maybe not the last one, but for the record I'd take a Killer Moth over anyone!

Alfred could fit in that Lego Ideas Wayne Manor if it passes review, or it could go the CUUSOO Tumbler route in which the Ideas Wayne Manor get's rejected only for Lego to make their own Wayne Manor a year later.

Eww. That is not the vulture I know. Red eyes, beak, wierd green hair. We are not getting him in a set. That would probably need a new mold just cause of that nose. We would NOT get that vulture n a set.

That Vulture is hideous! To be honest, Vulture is the last classic spidey villain I'd want. He's so lame. But if we get him, he better be the classic version. Just give me Mysterio and Carnage instead

Oh God no, this is exactly what I mean. There is a difference between "different" and "terrible" and this is the exact meaning of terrible.

Yep, you can't put him in both games and not have him as a figure. And let us not forget Polka-Dot Man and the Penny Plunderer!

Sorry, I can't figure out how to re-size pictures.

I just loathe USM spidey stuff.

I dont mind if tlg is making usm sets (kids like the series), but i do hope they are going to make some more classic comic spidey sets too.

Just like movie stuff, i ain't feeling it.

One of the reasons why all those super(wo)men were popular is their design. The main reason why i dont get into new marvelcomics no more is their new design.

I think (don't quote me on this) that Agent Venom is a military officer operating with a modified symbiote that he can control. That's all I really know of him.

Agent Venom - From Wikipedia:

On December 9, 2010, Marvel Comics announced a new "black ops" Venom owned by the government. The new Venom will be featured in a new series called Venom in March 2011. The birth of the new Venom can be seen in The Amazing Spider-Man #654.1 in February 2011.[40] On January 28, 2011, the identity of "black ops" Venom was revealed to be Flash Thompson.[41][42] Flash is hired by the government to be a special agent wearing the Venom symbiote. Flash is only allowed to wear the suit for up to 48 hours, or risk a permanent bonding with the symbiote. The Government is also equipped with a "kill switch" designed to take Flash out if he loses control.
