slugdude Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) Wouldn't they be a bit over-sized, though? So is Iron Man's helmet, flashes cowl, and the phase 2 clone helmets and plenty of other head gear. Plus, they would be removable, so it you could just take them off if you didn't like them. Lego has made plenty of other things that didn't seem feasible, like wolverines claws, into good looking pieces so I don't think this would be too tough a challenge for them. LMB10 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Wouldn't they be a bit over-sized, though? Also, I've been thinking about what the special exclusive in March could be. We've had one Marvel, and two DC. Could it be possible that we get a Marvel figure to even it out? Probably an Avengers/Ant-Man character, since March is probably when the Avengers sets while come out. Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Probably an Avengers/Ant-Man character, since March is probably when the Avengers sets while come out. I would love Ant-Man! What Avengers character could they use? It would have to be one that couldn't be used in regular sets. Quote
Venkefedo Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I think most likely it is so they can sell you a fig twice. Release a upgraded version with leg printing and fans have to buy it twice or more. More sets sold. A lot of people wonder why they don't give us the whole JL in one set. Simple, they need to spread the content out over time and for as long as possible. Thing is, they can spread the content out easily with different versions of characters. Earth has 5 Green Lanterns now (Hal, John, Guy, Kyle, and the new guy Simon), there are many ways to do their outfits. Flash's costume has changed a few times (mostly belts, other lines, sometimes colors--dark red instead of regular red, gold instead of yellow). Superman & Batman have various movie & comic looks plus the New 52. Aquaman's got different hairdos, sometimes different pants, and there's his whole 'shirtless long-hair' phase with the hook-hand (and post-hook-hand, when he had the magic water hand--trans-blue hand, anyone? Good for Sith lightning-hands maybe, or anyone who can blast energy from their hands), Martian Manhunter has his more classic look, Wonder Woman's got various looks, etc. They don't really need to stretch it out in the Stormtrooper/Sith-Trooper way with "Oh, but THIS one has leg printing!", tho they could (and I'd love it on some of these, since the boots provide that extra bit of color to complete their look). Agreed I'd rather we got parts in new colours, back printing and printed elements, than boot printing. Parts in new colours have much more use outside of a set than boot printing does. True, there's more use, but like I said above--the boot color often adds a lot to the look. Imagine if Wonder Woman was released with plain fleshie legs…or solid red legs. It'd look weird. They could've gotten away w/o boot printing if they chose one of her pants-wearing outfits, of course. But with Batman, Superman, Flash… that splash of blue/black, red, or yellow makes for a nice visual. I'd rather have parts in new colors, back printing, printed elements, AND boot printing… but then I don't know anything about budgets over there. Quote

BlueberryWaffles Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) Since the boot issue was brought up again, I thought I'd pitch in. Yesterday I used a red Sharpie Paint Pen and gave my USM Spidey boots. Looks pretty good, though I might do another lower since they went pretty high. Edited July 11, 2014 by Tolkien Quote
legofreak86 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I just watched Crisis On Two earths today and thought it'd be really cool to see Owl Man in lego form! Perhaps if JL gets multiple movies one day we may see a live action crisis film and in turn an owlman figure. Quote

We better get Sinestro, Cheetah, Brainiac, or heck even Captain Boomerang before that, though! Quote
Venkefedo Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I don't think Owlman's all that obscure… he & the rest of the Crime Syndicate are evil alternate-universe counterparts to the Justice League. But I could see wanting Captain Boomerang before them… it'd mean we'd get a boomerang Lego piece! Quote

I want an official Grodd too. Deadshot and Deathstroke would be rad as well. Edited July 11, 2014 by Moon_Knight Quote

We definitely need more Legion of Doom members. Quote

adotnamedstud Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 In 2016 I want to see an Owl-Ship from Watchmen to subtly celebrate the 30th year of Watchmen. I can see it happening seeing it was rated the #1 Graphic Novel ever by TIME Magazine. (Well according to the Graphic Novel's cover and Wikipedia) The characters wouldn't be hard to make at all seeing we'd just need a cowl for Nite Owl, that being said. The 2015 cowl would work wonders for a suitable Nite Owl... Or an Ideas project getting passed for it would be nice. Quote

Ideas might be the best chance for something like that… Watchmen's a bit too grim & adult for any 'proper' Super Heroes release (granted, they made Nolan-Bane, and Metropolis-destroying MoS Zod & Supes, but…y'know. Watchmen.) Quote

Deadshot and Deathstroke would be rad as well. With all the publicity Deathstroke has gotten recently it would seem he is the perfect cash-cow, so a fig of him seems likely. Zoom is just a flash recolor so he would be easy to produce and there is a parka hood which is perfect for Captain Cold. Quote

I'd love to see it too especially since I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and the graphic novel is my favorite read of all time but Watchmen is definitely not for children audiences; the graphic novel and film. We've never seen Lego make a set based on an R-rated film and I don't think it will happen anytime soon especially since they rejected the Serenity project from the Firefly television series on Cuusoo because its "content [was] related to realistic or extreme violence." legofreak86 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 I was referring to Owlman of the crime syndicate rather than the watchmen. Yeah but the legion of doom seen in the batman 3 game MUST appear in next years sets. Croc, Cheetah, Grundy and firefly would be great. Add that to new designs for bats, wonder woman, superman. plus green lantern, cyborg and classic manhunter plus braniac and you have a lot of potential for a good wave next year. Hopefully other additions would be green arrow and deathstroke. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Can we expect a new marvel set reveal at comic con? I think we can atleast see minifigures for both dc and marvel like they did in 2012. Quote
Cammo Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Can we expect a new marvel set reveal at comic con? I think we can atleast see minifigures for both dc and marvel like they did in 2012. I fear for the Marvel fans that the main focus will go to the UCS Tumbler for the Heroes line and The Hobbit: "King under the mountain" set. The main focus of the next Marvel Superheroes wave is probably Avengers 2 so they can't spoil too much. Maybe a Hulkbuster, Ultron, Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch minifigure. Or they could go all evil on the Marvel fans and do an exclusive Stan Lee Minifigure Give-Away. Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Or they could go all evil on the Marvel fans and do an exclusive Stan Lee Minifigure Give-Away. Don't you dare say that! Next you will tell me they will also have Sandman and The Lizard! Quote

Yesh if there is a January wave, we will see something, because i bet there will be a winter wave for Spidey, fue tothe Spring / summer will be avengers themed. Theyed want something for winter, this year was spring to tie in to TASM2 and TWS(Cap, Hydrq, and Falcon werent in the Avengers sets for no reason) We still need White Tiger, and more of Spidey's rouges gallery, pkus we could see the start of his Web Warriors team, i really hope we get Lizard this wave, hes my favorite!:) Dc wont be the Tumbler, itll be a small B-Man set woth JL member( GL) everyone can get. I dont think they reveal D2C sets, they didnt do it for Arkham, though we did see the fih Quote
Captain America fan 1 Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Or they could go all evil on the Marvel fans and do an exclusive Stan Lee Minifigure Give-Away. That would make me so mad at lego. Do something like the USM vulture or an Iron Man suit instead! Quote

KingPixels Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I just had a thought for the people that don't like the Green Goblin bigfig. You could always use it as a super skrull. Quote
