TheBatstan Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 After all the controversy surrounding last year, I doubt Lego would have the balls to do it again this year. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 (edited) Or they could go all evil on the Marvel fans and do an exclusive Stan Lee Minifigure Give-Away. I thought we already had a Stan Lee minifig... Oh wait, that's just the infomaniac. Seriously though, unless they are going to do the Con exclusives like Azog (where they released it generally a few months later) they should just stop. Edited July 13, 2014 by rodiziorobs Quote
Faefrost Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 With all the publicity Deathstroke has gotten recently it would seem he is the perfect cash-cow, so a fig of him seems likely. Zoom is just a flash recolor so he would be easy to produce and there is a parka hood which is perfect for Captain Cold. All of the Rogues would be very easy and inexpensive to do except Mirror Master. He's the only one with a weird headpiece that does not match something already in Lego's inventory. Capt cold just needs the Parka hood. Piper would use a CMF elf hat or Santa hat recolor. Zoom just uses a recolor of Flashs cowl. Captain Boomerang uses the CMF butchers hat in blue. Etc. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I could see them revealing the spiderman web warriors minifigures, and the winter wave of DC minifigures, like space batman, green lantern, and braniac. Quote

8BrickMario Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I'm betting on a 70% chance that we'll get GL. Space Batman has been rumored, and the render seemed like it was for a physical minifig (neck loop for wings), but will they make LB3-inspired sets or have Space Bats as a preorder bonus? Or Zur-En-Arrh Batman? Or even include one of them in a movie adaptation of LB3 like Clark Kent? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 (edited) I think i already said that zur en arhh batman is most likely to be the pre order bonus Edited July 13, 2014 by amazingbricks Quote

Blakstone Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Con previews would be much better. Still I think a classic Green Goblin using the holiday elf hat would cause the most nerd rage. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 But how can we be so sure? Did I miss something? Because all vidoe games so far have had an main charater in a exclusive outfit (Baggins, Armour Lex, Iron Patriot). So Batman in an exclusive suitisnt out of the question And Space Batman is confirmed. In an iterview with IGN, Parsons said the Space varaint is a upcoming release, similar to his Green Goblin slip up! Quote
just2good Posted July 13, 2014 Author Posted July 13, 2014 Con previews would be much better. Still I think a classic Green Goblin using the holiday elf hat would cause the most nerd rage. Doubt they'd do that. REALLY popular characters like him are probably saved for upcoming set releases. Quote
Colossus Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 (edited) Good point. I'm really hoping the whole exclusive minifigure idea gets scrapped, and maybe resort to a preview figure. Have something special for attendees that will eventually be released to the rest of the Lego-loving world at some point in the future. Edited July 13, 2014 by Colossus Quote
B-Lister Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Preview figures would be better. Or if they must do the con exclusives, make more, and make them gettable for those who can't make the show. Quote
Leewan Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Or if they must do the con exclusives, make more, and make them gettable for those who can't make the show. If anyone can get them (that's what you're suggesting, right ?), then how could they be exclusive ? Quote
slugdude Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 They should give out the special offer poly bags with figs that you can only get from spending obscene amounts of money at shop@home before they are available to the public. Quote
DJ Bricks Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 So far in season three, Nov, Tiger, and Iron Fist have recieved costum upgrades. Could make Lego do the whole CW route and switch them to the new ones in future sets. All three look really cool, Nova is the best though. Quote

I would like a Iron Fist as I did get the first one, do you have any pics of new Nova? Quote
DJ Bricks Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I would like a Iron Fist as I did get the first one, do you have any pics of new Nova? Nope, cant find one either, Its his Nova Prime outfit with the black helmet. Iron Fist has gold on him, for his dragon, belt, shoulder pads and gauntlets. I think the mask might be different. Tiger has her amulet on her chest, black stripes on her on her even under her eyes. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I think that it would be nice if we just got one or two versions of each character with leg printing without any new parts or colors, that way we could just mix and match parts to get the costume we like best. Added to the idea that they make the different versions of the costumes, it only gets better. I'm terrified of what the exclusives are going to be this year, but hopefully the inevitable set reveals make up for them. Also, if anyone's wondering, I tried the first few episodes of Ultimate Spiderman and they really are bad. I'm going to jump on to the new season hopefully and see if it gets good. Have you guys heard the rumor that Young Justice Season 3 is going to be announced at Comic Con? Maybe then DC will have an animated line-up to give us the diversity that Marvel's got. Quote

That's probably just a rumor. It was cancelled, not put on hold. I could be wrong but wasn't DC nation cancelled as well on cartoon network? Don't think they're too keen to bring it back. As for the CC exclusives, all I'm saying is that it better not be a female superhero again. There are barely any of them in Lego form as it is. Just make a purple spider-man or something lame like that. No one will care then Quote

Anyways I think that there can be good lego sets based on the show Quote
B-Lister Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 If anyone can get them (that's what you're suggesting, right ?), then how could they be exclusive ? The same way Hasbro and Mattel's exclusives are. Maybe do different packaging, or an exclusive brick with the con pieces. Quote
Venkefedo Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 If anyone can get them (that's what you're suggesting, right ?), then how could they be exclusive ? The bags for the ones at SDCC itself could have the SDCC logo on them? That's all it really takes for most people. The ones who want to have the contents of the package itself, in this case the figures, be limited exclusives nobody else has are generally jerks anyway. Preview figures like Azog are probably the best way to go. Everybody wins. Quote
Rinzler Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Just make a purple spider-man or something lame like that. No one will care then I'd care. I love purple, I love Spider-Man. Purple + Spider-Man = AWESOME! Quote
