8BrickMario Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 (edited) I'd like to see a new side-ponytails hairpiece for a new Harley (blonde, not New 52) as an alternative to her jester's hat. I always liked that Harley's hairstyle mimicked her hat, it's a neat little design detail. Edited September 9, 2013 by 8BrickMario Quote
Legoman123 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 At least one X-Men set is confirmed, some Con people said it would be here in September but you see how that turned out. A S@H exclusive set for X-Men is most likely to be released in 2014, I bet on a release tying in with the new movie around July. Could also be a good tie-in for a new S@H promo fig like Hulk and Jor-El. In a Gamespot video from Comic-Con they said USM Gobby will also be in a new set. Someone else in this thread said the devs have seen the whole wave of the first half of the year so there could be even more set characters in this game. When was the X-Men set confirmed ? Is there any links at all to this ? Or if not can someone just explain it to me, like when this was said and that, sorry I missed it. :-) Quote
KingPixels Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 So are we definitely not getting any Thor 2 sets? Quote
deskp Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 So are we definitely not getting any Thor 2 sets? Nothing has been said about it either way. sooo maybe? Quote

Someone from Marvel said that there might be an X-Men set in September at a panel. So are we definitely not getting any Thor 2 sets? Nothing is confirmed at this moment. LEGO can pull a move like they did with the Funhouse and make it a retail exclusive and reveal it about a week before release. Quote
KingPixels Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 I hope we at least get one Thor 2 set. Just with the main characters, maybe Odin. That'd be perfect. Quote
wilson3a10 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Already in sept. I would like to see new minifig for loki Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 At this point, Lego can surprise me with any move they make with this theme. Quote
305Bats Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I just hope we get figures we haven't seen since 2006,not more Jokers,Harleys and Penguins! Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I hope we hear word on new Superhero sets soon. It's been oddly quiet lately... Quote
deskp Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I hope we hear word on new Superhero sets soon. It's been oddly quiet lately... I agree, the last piece of 'news' we got was that lego won't be at NYCC wich is kindof anti news.. Quote
Drock Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 I just hope we get figures we haven't seen since 2006,not more Jokers,Harleys and Penguins! Other than The Flash and Manbat, and possibly someone n the $50 set, I wouldn't hold my breath for many new characters Quote
Fives Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 It'd be a shame for LEGO to not make sets based on Thor 2. I could see at least two or three sets that cover some major locations/plot points/characters. I just really want a Malekith. Quote

Well, who knows, we still got time for it to be revealed if it's going to be a retail exclusive (which seems likely). Maybe it will be released in January 2014 like some people speculated. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I agree, the last piece of 'news' we got was that lego won't be at NYCC wich is kindof anti news.. I told you guys not get your hopes up, in LEGOs mind New York is way beyond San-Diego and them caring about San-Diego is also still a new thing. Well, who knows, we still got time for it to be revealed if it's going to be a retail exclusive (which seems likely). Maybe it will be released in January 2014 like some people speculated. Movie starts at Halloween (in some countries) Toys in January It´s not as bad as Dark Knight Rises with July to January but still weird. I hope we hear word on new Superhero sets soon. It's been oddly quiet lately... It´s always quiet. The pacing for Superhero set news is much worse than the other themes. A huge stack of information around the end/beginning of the year and the rest nothing. I hope we get real summer and winter waves next year like January/July, not January/April like the last two years all this discussion about how the 2014 wave will look like in May and June makes me nauseous. montgocloud Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I don't care how long they wait to give us news or pictures as long as that time is used to create some competent builds. 2013 was a major step back from the 2012 line. I bought them all but only for collection purposes. I hope this year won't be another step down. I have high hopes considering some of the source material that will be represented (Guardians of the Galaxy could be especially great). Quote
Bricknblue Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 There are rumours that we will get three new Hobbit Part 2 sets for this December, but being they are included as 2014 sets we will probably not see any possible Thor sets until right before the movie comes out. Quote

The Hobbit sets at least have rumor lists. A Thor 2 set isn't impossible, but I do think it unlikely at this point. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) If only Lego took in some advice, and started making more sets for this theme. The superheroes theme (in my opinion) has the most potential to deliver sets for a very long time, without seeing much re-hashes. If Lego made 10 sets for Marvel before the end of 2013, as I have said before, they could make 3 more Thor sets and 2 X-Men sets. Both of which would be highly anticipated. I also think they could make 3 Cap. sets, 3 GOTG, and 2 Ultimate Spiderman sets, along with 2 Amazing Spiderman sets for 2014. Of course I must have posted that about 4 times now, but really, what harm can be done by giving us 10 sets instead of 6? Edited September 11, 2013 by STSH2013Lego Quote

Maybe it'll get larger in 2015, when/if the license is renewed. Edited September 12, 2013 by Superficial Username Quote
strangely Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) If only Lego took in some advice, and started making more sets for this theme. I'd guess the set amounts is set when they write up a contract, so it will probably increase when they renew the rights. Plus they were probably playing it safe, slowly building up the theme. If you start small and go bigger each time it's easier to keep on impressing the consumer. Edited September 12, 2013 by strangely Quote

RaincloudDustbin Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I'm really s******g myself that LEGO won't renew the license. If they don't, I imagine I'll quit LEGO. Quote

I can't imagine them not renewing it. They seem to sell very well and the games and movies they make for them are pretty well received. And with both sides of the theme having big movies in the future it would be stupid to not renew. Quote

Do you know exactly when it was planned to be dis-continued? I would love for them to renew the License, and finally make 10 sets per theme, I guess I kinda like the feeling of a broken wallet. Quote
