Lego-Dark-Knight0518 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Since there are regular figs in the juniors sets, any chance the robin might be Damian Wayne? No? I didn't think so. That would be cool, though. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) Indeed that is quite an unpopular show. I read that it isn't attracting the audience "EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES" used to. The voice acting is atrocious and below the level of many other similar shows. EMH had personality whereas this has no visual flair or interesting plotlines. To be quite honest I don't think we have to worry about them basing sets of that because to marvel the god knows how many million dollar marvel movies are more important to promote to Disney than some run of the mill TV show. This what I expect for next year: January: dc: the 4 batman sets. Marvel: One captain America 2 set and one thor the dark world set. March: Marvel: 3 Spiderman Sets USM or ASM2 or a mixture of both. July: marvel: sets for gotg and X-men perhaps loosely based on days of future past. Either way these are the figures I'd expect next year: DC: Batman (riddler chase version), the flash, the joker, man bat, penguin, batgirl, Nightwing, 2 exclusive villains for the joker set. marvel: Thor(tdw), Malekith(tdw), Odin(tdw), Loki(tdw), Jane foster(tdw), Captain America(tws), The winter soldier, Steve rogers (tws), falcon(tws), Nick fury (MCU tws), Crossbones (tws), Black Widow (tws). If USM sets are in order then we can expect: Spiderman (duh), Green Goblin (big fig), White tiger, Agent Coulson, Power man, The Lizard. If ASM however we may get: ASM2 Spiderman, Electro (ASM2), Rhino (ASM2), Green Goblin (in green and black armour (rumoured)), Peter parker(ASM2), Gwen Stacy(ASM2) Xmen wise I would reckon either more main xmen in comic attire or dofp characters . Either way I'm hoping for a minfigure professor X that would be fantastic. Even if it wasn't a movie version the game one looks like Patrick Stewart anyway. I have never heard of guardians of the galaxy before now but I assume they are some sort of outer space bounty hunter esque team i do know Karen gillain is playing the villain though so that'll be interesting in minifgure form. In short i think 2014 sounds like a very good year for marvel superheroes. Plus some more batman is no blight on my collection. It will finally give us man bat so that's good. The best way I can describe The Guardians of the Galaxy is this: The originals, although I don't know about the latest ones, was set 1000 years in the future on the USS Captain America, where a group of people from each of earth's colony's came together to repel the Badoon, a but ugly alien race who swarmed over Earth's solar system killing everyone. Their future diverged from ours (Earth 616, the main comic reality) when Earth was invaded in 2001 (I think) by the Martians, with most of the Major Super-humans and the Human race dead. Humanity rebuilt, but then the Badoon attacked and where defeated thanks to the Guardians and some help of from some current Superhero’s. Most of the Guardians missions revolved around things like finding the Mutants who had been driven of Earth, and then fighting their descendants, finding Captain America's shield that had been placed in space by Dr Doom and protected by Vision, dealing with a race that had used Iron Man's armour as a basis for they're civilisation with deadly results (The Stark), "the punisher squad", fighting with the Avengers in current times against a very powerful villain called Michael, or Korvac, meeting a future Ghost Rider, Wonder man, Firelord, Silver surfer and many others.. the list goes on. The current ones are set in our universe and our time I think, they are the ones in the film, and they battle some pretty powerful villains (If your interested its on Wikipedia, I won't put it here due to spoilers), and they are more mercenary’s than Adventurers if I understand correctly. I hope that helps Anyway, the sets, in better detail. I gotta say, I can't really add much more to what others have posted. I'm happy that we get Marvel and DC sets in the first place, let alone the selection we have, and will have. The Junior sets sound like a cheap way to get rid of spare parts, but who’s arguing? I don't mind getting a cheap Super Hero parts pack, I might even add red boots with some paint to Spidey if he is the same as the last few. DC sounds good as well. I like GL, any one to be honest, but Hal and John are my favourites and to get either would be good. I just hope Lego move away from the Batman stuff. I'm getting a little sick of these Bat Vehicles, it’ll get to the point where we'll have a Bat Buggy and a Flying chair. Don't get me wrong, I like Batman, but there’s so much they could do instead.... Edited September 20, 2013 by Dr Leg O Brick Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 (edited) I really hope we get an Agent Coulson in this years spidey wave.... I wonder if the Agents of SHIELD show will make that more likely... Maybe lego will expect more interest. Edited September 20, 2013 by Marvelfan120 Quote
TheStrategist Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I agree with blackstone, if the Steam roller doesn't have GL, I'm welcome to a cheap Joker. And a cheap robin, for that matter, as I still don't have him (I'm kinda new to super heroes). Quote
Legoman123 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) With the X-men sets been announced (rumoured) I am really hoping for these minifigures, Cyclops, Storm, Jean, Beast, Professor X, Iceman, Gambit, Mystique, Rouge and Angel. I would like even more but those are the ones I want the most. Edited September 21, 2013 by Legoman123 Quote

just2good Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 So this is what Rocket Raccoon looks like... -Sci Eh... I know this one is based on the comics. I hope the movie-based figure is better. Heck, I would much rather not have him as a minifigure, but a new molded figure like Smeagol. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Hmmm he looks pretty cool if you ask me. Quote
Dr Leg O Brick Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 The X Men will most likely be based on the 90s cartoon. I don't mind that to honest, as long as we get Colossus, Second genesis costumes sometime, and a non cat like Beast, so can use him in are Avengers. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that there’s no FF sets, I'm still holding out for a Doctor Doom castle with all the bells and whistles, including Doom Bots and a Time platform. Quote

Not a fan of the 90's look. They look terrible in my opinion. I would much rather the 80's looks or the costumes from Joss Weadons run in 2004. Quote

Piranha Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 In case anyone is curious, here are the designs for Star-Lord (in the game): Winter Soldier: Winter Soldier looks like his mask could also double for a new Nightwing fig. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 hard to see star lord but Winter Soldier looks cool... The game might be the first look at how the CA2 figs will look as lego will probably be pretty tight on any pics to avoid spoilers.... Which is laughable after IM3 Quote

I would much rather the 80's looks or the costumes from Joss Weadons run in 2004. I don't mind the 90s looks too much. In Cyclops' case its actually my favourite look for the character. I really hope they end up releasing the one from the video game since they did a fantastic job with him. The only 90s costume I really disliked was Jean Grey's. Shame Lego had to make the far superior Phoenix version a Comic Con exclusive. Where was this image found?have I missed something? halomaster96 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I've been wondering, does anyone know if the new Flash figure has a double sided face? I can't find a picture that lets me know know one way or the other. thanks Quote
FinalFeature Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Yes he does have a double sided face. Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Yes he does have a double sided face. He does? I haven't seen any evidence for that. Quote
FinalFeature Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) Could've sworn he had a two sided head from what I saw on fbtbs photostream. Edited September 22, 2013 by LegoGalactus Quote
Lego-Dark-Knight0518 Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 His head is red with a printed face, just like the new Stormtroopers. He does not have a doubled-sided face. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 From FBTB's photos, it's apparent that the mask goes down far enough that he could have a double-sided head - two different expressions on the red or something. But, FBTB probably would've taken a picture of that if it was the case. We'll have to wait and see, but I'd be leaning towards no double-face and a perpetually angry Flash. Quote
