lego_nightwing Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 i really wish to see nightwing in future sets, he's my favorite superhero of all time, even topping batman himself. though i would want to see a new version of Alfred, i don't really think he will be released. I've been thinking about the joker's steam-roller set for some time, i cant figure out what villains will be in that set with the joker... kill croc? not his style to crush batman/nightwing with a steam roller... killer moth? maybe, since he's as goofy as the joker... goons? i hope not... the best for me is mr. freeze and hush... since theres no hush mini figure though he's in both of the lego batman games... and the freeze in the set that is out now is based on arkham city, not that i don't like it, i just want to see a classic one. Churchill Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) I'd love to see more Joker henchmen, but would also love to see Killer Croc. I can't wait for the pics. Edited September 28, 2013 by Churchill Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I am still holding out hope for an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D set, I mean, SHIELD is so popular amongst the Marvel Fanbase! I mean, even just a set with Coulson's Car, The Blue Van, Coulson, The Male Agent, Sky and Mike would be awesome, or the Huge Plane. I think we need a Helicarrier set, with Maria Hill, Coulson, Fury in Trenchcoat, etc... Quote
Legoman123 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 To be quite honest I think the perfect minifigures to put in the Joker's steam-roller would be... the Mad Hatter, and killer moth. They just seem to suit the Joker with all the weird costumes they wear, and they are both weird and crazy just like the Joker. Quote
Sam892 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 If so how can he only "Make out figures" Surely he could've seen the villains in steam roller? The pictures released in the store catalogs are only small blurry pictures. Also the pictures are prototypes of sets, as a result new molds may be substituted and new printings and new figures are represented by other figures. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 If so how can he only "Make out figures" Surely he could've seen the villains in steam roller? If it is a new figure it will be made up of parts from other minifigures, such as Pong Krell last year had Bossks head. Quote
The Joker1 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Did darth tater ever post the impressions he promised? Anyway i have no doubt pictures will be publicly available very soon . Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Did darth tater ever post the impressions he promised? Anyway i have no doubt pictures will be publicly available very soon . You're dead on! Okay so here's what I can remember from the images: The Penguin Face-Off: Might be one of the best $13 LEGO sets ever. Comes with Batman, the Penguin and two robot penguin henchmen with dynamite. Batman has some sort of jet ski (I can't recall if it's similar to the polybag) and the Penguin has a duck-like flotation ride similar to the Batman Returns design. The Man-Bat Attack: Batman, Robin (I thought it might've been Nightwing, but he looks really cool!) and Man-Bat. Really cool looking Bat-Helicopter. Could retail for $25 The Riddler Chase: We've all seen it. The Joker Steam Roller: This is the one I'm most excited for. 5 total minifigures, but all I could make out was Batman and the Joker (purple hat included!). While the box art made it look like two heroes and three villians, I am not ruling out the possibility of the other hero being Nightwing. The Steam Roller looks ridiculously awesome, with a ton of great colors. Batman's vehicle is a jet, with similar wing functionality to that of the Republic Striker from the Old Republic line. Quote
The Joker1 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) Thank you , Those all sound brilliant, Especially if we can get a set with the duck boat for just £12ish, I will no doubt pick them all up, Come on pictures . Plus it's good to hear we are getting batman vehicles for Land, Air and sea. I feel that is a nice balance. Edited September 28, 2013 by The Joker1 Quote
LegoBatmanFan Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I think killer croc will be in the set, i'll be damned if we get villains we already have. I'm sure i'm not the only one who wants to collect the entire batman villains? And nightwing would be icing on the cake but killer croc first please! Big fig? If it is a new figure it will be made up of parts from other minifigures, such as Pong Krell last year had Bossks head. Thanks for the info, do you know where this catalogue was? Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Retailers have them, and are not normally allowed to show people them. (but it helps if you know them :) ) Quote
North Lego Star Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I personally think the sets will include these minifigs... -Man Bat Attack: Batman, Nightwing and Man Bat-19.99$ -Joker's Steamroller: Batman, Batgirl, Joker, Mad Hatter, Joker Henchman-49.99$ Also since there are only 4 DC sets listed right now, I'm really hopeful we'll see 2 more DC sets like these... -Gotham Harbor Showdown: Batman, Black Mask, Black Mask Henchmen, Deadshot, Deathstroke, Black Mask's Warehouse(Explosion Features), Cargo Crates, Crago Crane(Drop Feature)-39.99$ -DC Advent Calander: 10 minifigs, 14 mini-builds-39.99$ Does anyone else think it's possible by the way, to eventually get sets based off the new Gotham PD TV show coming in the fall of 2014? I believe the show will be about Gordon before Batman came along and the villains that made Gotham famous. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I doubt it, making sets for that would really hurt Lego. People (including myself) are already having a hard time adjusting to the fact that Lego announced a superheroes theme and made it mostly batman. On the bright side they've finally remade most of the old Batman line and are able to branch out more. If lego finally remade everything just to go back to making more batman, I think it's fair to say their sales would take a beating. Characters like Metallo, Braniac, Sinestro, and Ra's al ghul are popular enough to hold their own set (with big time characters alongside them like superman green lantern and batman that is). Can you imagine what people would think if Lego bailed on making sets for those huge characters for the million of police officers they already have in Lego city? Quote

Not really Mr. Freeze' style to freeze Aquaman for no reason, or Riddler to team up with Joker and Quinn, or Penquin to be in Arkham. I bet Croc is in the roller, with Quinn or another thug, or it could be a new villian. Maybe Batgirl or Green Lantern ( since we have that rumor of him a set, maybe a DC store Exclusive?) and i think Nightwing in the Man-Bat set. Quote

They always design and release them waaayyyy in advance so they can get picked up in time for Christmas. They have already announced the ones for this year, and Ive heard stray copies of the star wars calender have already been found. If there was going to be a DC calender, we would already know. Quote

I'm talking about 2014. @TheStratiegist-Yes, I'm talking about the 2014 DC January Wave and how there are only the four sets, but you are correct about the Junior set so in that case, there's only room for one more DC set. If the Junior set also counts for Marvel though, Marvel will have a lot more sets than DC for sure, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Edited September 28, 2013 by North Lego Star Quote
TheStrategist Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Those four that were announced are only for the January wave. There will be more in tanother 2014 wave. And besides, you aren't counting the junior set. Quote
Marvelfan120 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 what I want to know is when we will finally get some marvel D2C sets Quote
wesker Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 what I want to know is when we will finally get some marvel D2C sets Would have been nice to have gotten one in January like this year but I doubt that will happen now the Maersk Line Triple-E has been revealed. Still there's always hope for later in the year. Quote

Yeah, not to complain but it seems like people are saying things are supposed to be even between DC and marvel but DC is getting a second D2C set now and Marvel has nothing... grrrrr Quote

I would assume the next D2C will be Marvel, however I don't know weather LEGO will wait until Arkham is Discontinued before releasing it. Quote
